  1. 4 valves became prevalent because it helped the engine breathe better i do not see how going back to 2 valves is a good thing.
  2. i like dried fruit.
  3. neighbor has an SSR. love that truck. he got his in yellow. i thought if i got an HHR ss it would be a fun photo op, to take pictures of the two together.
  4. switched it up. clif bar for bfast, burger and salad bar for lunch. PB sand for supper. Jif creamy with Omega 3. that is good PB.
  5. i picked up some of the dark choc and white choc PB at walmart tonight. will try them and report back.
  6. tomorrw will be peanut butter sandwich for bfast.
  7. lol pertinent thread. i just got back from walmart and bought a $h!load of snacks in small sizes for the kid for snacks at school. speaking of fruit snacks, make sure it actually is fruit and not HFCS.
  8. c/d fusion 0-60 was around 8 seconds. 230/180=1.27, invert that = .783 * 8.0 = 6.26 seconds 0-60. i will round down to 6.2 seconds. fast enough for me! for a daily commuter. which would be faster than the/my original sho and damn close to a 3.6 equipped epsilon / auto. i will bet that it will actually show up with more than 230/240. the v6 came in with more power than originally communicated. i will guess 25/35 on mpg figures if equipped with a manual trans.
  9. accord coupe, now there is a coupe with bad proportions.
  10. my gosh, i show some love for a nice looking white g6 coupe and it degenerates into this........
  11. most pontiacs look great in white, and this particular one looked really good all clean and new. the coupe shape looked really good for some reason all new and white.
  12. and they do not make a fusion coupe.
  13. i am talking coupes here. just so turned out that i had never seen a g 6 coupe in white. much less with the new 09.5 nose which actually when seen from low and straight on is an improvement with the bumper shaping. the caras a whole from all angles looks pretty bitchen and i for one like the proportions. at least it doesnt have the gaping overhang in the front lke the accord coupe. the accord coupe is nearly as hideous as the zdx and crosstour.
  14. hey i have always liked the g6 coupe too. dodgefan likes to talk like he is ex pert in all the this an that of shaping cars but the g6 stands up pretty well especially to crap like the altima coupe, and the ugly honda accord coupe. g6 coupe is pretty nice and basically dodgefan needs to keep the piehole shut in this case. i'd invite him to give me an example of a competing coupe to the g6 coupe that looks significantly better.
  15. a brand new 2009.5 white G6 couple snuck up behind me today on the road and passed me, and then i followed it for a few miles. WOW. hot car! honestly, i had never seen the G6 coupe in white before. and the new beak? i had never seen on the road yet either. Stunning to look at, with the new beak, and in white. it had a tan interior i believe. i had never been stunned by a g6 that way before. tell me again why Pontiac is being killed? did anyone ever know the G6 coupe existed? should the G6 and g8 at least been given a reprieve and the g6 given a proper interior and NVH refinements? time to go white g6 coupe hunting..............
  16. if the ford ecoboost was in say, a mustang, with a 6 speed manual. i think we would see about a 4.2-4.3 0-60 if you interpolate the weigght between 4400 pounds and 3600 pounds. i also think that mks that is rated 17/25 and gets 22 in hard driving would prob see 20/30 in the mustang with consistent 25 mpg. for a tire shredder, that is not bad. i read yesterday that the 4 cyl 2.0 eco boost will FINALLY be out next year with rating of 240/240 or something like that. seeing as how max torque on the six is available at 1500 rpm, i figure on the ECOBOOST 4 it should make the 230-240 torque at about 2000 rpm. this engine is going in the edge and explorer of all things too so ford is confident in its pulling capacity. i see it going into the fusion and i bet we see 6.0 0-60 with the ecoboost 4 and manual, since the fusion is a pretty light car. that car will be the spiritual successor to the SHO in my book. and it will prob see EPA ratings of 25/35 with real world mileage consistently around 30. hows about an ecoboost next gen focus?
  17. just read road and tracks update on their long term MKS ecoboost. this car is 4400 pounds. 0-60 5.0 seconds. almost 22 mpg is their current mileage to date. it's like 21.7 or something. this is with them hammering on the throttle. all wheel drive. now, back to that 13 miles per gallon on the g8 GXP......... GM will need to start squeezing equivalent hp/litre out of the small block to keep it current in the marketing eye.
  18. i've been really down on salad lately. i think maybe its the winter instinct coming, the need to eat hot comfort food. oatmeal is a pretty good bang for your buck as far as comfort food goes. i've been kind of jiggy with a lot of the 'bob's red mill' cereal mixes lately too. oatmeal is cheap too, maybe that has something to do with it lately as well. breakfast for pennies on the dollar.
  19. i love the newmans own light dressings. light balsamic, italian, sun dried tomato. try maple grove farms of vermont, their balsamic and raspberry or cranberrry balsamic, no calories basically and they taste pretty good.
  20. oatmeal for bfast today. oatmeal for lunch. my god i will pay in about an hour.
  21. BEST ALBUM EVER! almost, and i am not joking! I even love the little RSO piglet!
  22. todays four cylinders are lively, get good mpg. and the good four cylinders today have better NVH than GM's v6. face it, GM never invested in making the pushrod v6's up to date. they could neither compete with modern v6's or 4's in total owner satisfaction. GM should have made an investment in making the pushrod technology stay up to date on NVH, power, revs, and all that.
  23. thing is you can option a loaded focus up to like 22 grand, i.e. as much as the astra. now, the focus will have an armrest and sync. the astra is so much more solid of a car than the focus. yet the focus is very agreeable, as a commuter. truth is though the forte is a much better car than the focus for the price, if all you want is a commuter. hold the phone, Jetta S's being advertised for 15,999 new 09's free sched maintenance. if it wasn't for that $h!ty iron block boat anchor 5 cylinder and terrible gas mileage, it really would be jetta all the way. jetta feels heavy. focus feels light. astra feels solid and frisky, the perfect inbetween. cobalt vs. focus is a draw IMO. cobalt has more power and better engine. focus has a little nicer interior.
  24. apparently this is larger than the megane and the clone of the samsung whatever that has been referenced in other articles. its the samsung ssm3 or whatever with a renault beak.
