  1. give Brett Favre a call.
  2. more than 62 cu ft of cargo would be nice.
  3. it still doesnt cover up the fact that those v8's are thirsty. er.
  4. well ford can get 17/25 epa on a 4400 pound awd tt v6 sedan. Pontiac GXP G8 rwd only was like 13/20 with a pushrod v8. So i would tend to think the tt v6 might have a similar mpg advantage, even in an ATS.
  5. the high feature v6 had some issues when it first came out. have those been corrected? AFAIK, the basic 4 cyl. ecotec has been pretty reliable.
  6. C-G thread autoblog quick spin
  7. probably gonna call around for some estimates today again. by the time i add up a transmission, struts and shocks, brakes all around again, A/C, battery, probably belts and hoses, fuel line stuff, (and probably a set of tires again in about a year and a half), it's gonna be a big investment. Here up north where they lay road salt its an added dynamic to your vehicle value, once you get visible rust the value goes to pot. You usually if you want to get anything out of it at the end you need to dump it before it goes bad. At least if I keep the vehicle I am gonna put a new stereo in it. The stock system is garbage and the display is going out. One benefit to keeping it, I told myself, is use it for awhile yet, and then buy a Camaro when things improve as my daily driver and keep the Aztek as my FWD winter beater. I think that is a good idea actually.
  8. Taliban terrorists read and subscribe to consumer reports......
  9. You are mostly correct with that suggestion, but to find one equipped like I'd want and few miles and not a rip off price is impossible. Plus it'd be an orphan and out of warranty. A more sensible option for me at this time if I needed to buy would be a cobalt or HHR. Less fun, but a far better common sense decision. There's actually a nice used HHR I am keeping my eye on right now ......
  10. this is my ultimate point. It's 'replacing' the cobalt. But it's actually the basic size of an L series. Same weight and four popper hp too. They are going to have to be careful with pricing. It's more of a tweener size car like the kizashi maybe too? I think the cobalt real replacement is the aveo. I also bet the cruze is more 'comfortable' than the Malibu. The cruze is probably what I call a new age right size car in this new oppressive cafe era. Between the aveo, cruze, and next Malibu, you will have clear size differentiation. And it makes me wonder how stupid the impala will look until they ever figure out what to do with it. I am guessing the cruze will sell really well, I hope chevy has a big ad campaign ready for it. I think the focus might turn outto be the better drivers car but the cruze may be more attractive to the appliance car set.
  11. thank you for the CONSTRUCTIVE answer. basically, the cruze should have the same interior space as the L series. will it weigh more or less? when the L series came out with the ecotec, i think it was like 135hp or 145hp....... from all this then with similar power, size and depending on weight, then we get an idea of the car. still think its interesting the sonata is only a couple pounds more. with 60 more HP and about the same highway rating. with all that extra space, and probably as cheap or cheaper similarly equipped. and with a better warranty. what is chevy peddling?
  12. physical size and weight comparison to get an idea of the volume efficiency of the car. its bigger than an Ion.
  13. i wonder how the cruze compares to the old Saturn L Series on all its dimensions and such.
  14. BMW sure is working hard to retain their ultimate driving machines, by adding 1/4 ton of weight to the 5 series, by making front drive and three cylinder cars going forward, and other driver centered things.
  15. "body cavities" and "sandwich" hmmm, this must be good. I see there will be an LTZ. ah, gotta have the price leader..... lots of good info in that article! Sept 2010.....notice how the weight varies....2800 for the stripped and gutted eco. the full monte cruze is 3150 pounds....(or a couple school years worth of dorm food weight gain shy of the hyundai sonata)......
  16. wow.....was Motor Trend in my head? MT US spec 2011 Chevy Cruze first drive
  17. Without question, the worst quality brand of the last decade.

    yeah baby!
  19. i am guessing the turbo you won't touch for less than 20,495 and they will make you get a bunch of other stuff to get it. what i want, 6 speed man, turbo, cloth is fine but with sunroof, heated seats as an option with cloth, want USB and bluetooth. I'd like alum wheels and decent tires.
  20. I really in general hate Lexus and Toyota but the current IS series I think is alright. The Kia SOul to me is ok. Still kind of a Beetle fan. there might be a few others.
  21. At a minimum, let's guess that the base LS will have hubcaps, anti lock and stabilitrak and a full complement of airbags. I hope USB and Bluetooth are standard. I would hope an armrest is STD too. 6 speed manual. 6 speed auto optional. Will power windows, locks, mirrors, keyless and cruze be standard? I predict a 16,495 base price. I expect most LS models with power windows and automatic to be around 18995 msrp. Or higher. Well equipped cruze LT will prob sticker around 22500.
  22. Getting impatient. I want to know specs, options, packaging, and pricing on the Cruze! Is there ANY solid info to go on right now?
  23. my struts have been garbage for quite some time now too. in order to get the whole thing back to it feeling enjoyable when driving, it would take the tranny fix and lots of other stuff.
  24. they may be nice for cloth but they look like they have no business in a luxury car. those seats do not look luxurious.
