  1. yeah, me too. nice to look at but the front not really.....they really should have gotten the front a lot more interesting.
  2. i'd bring one to ya if i were closer......
  3. not opposed to this and i do like keyless ignition.
  4. just make sure you try the stick but also keep an open mind on the CVT.
  5. stop it, i almost spit out my drink!!!!!
  6. yes, i would agree. subaru has a really focused product line and clear identity mostly. they do make big mileage with what small lineup they have.
  7. nice question. mazda did something with the car......maybe its finally getting noticed. maybe folks are tired of altimas.....i know some of the interior updates probably helped.....
  8. the A6 uptick is somewhat interesting and the TT uptick is rather strange.....
  9. part of what is going on is some bait and switch, the offers on the fusion are so good that people can't resist it when its larger and cheaper......seriously ford is whoring out the focus and escape right now.......leases, rebates, financing, etc.....
  10. 11 Gen+Equus #'s 3k units, 10 numbers for Genesis alone about the same.
  11. who said we were in a recession, plenty of BMW's flying off the lots......
  12. it's up because the VW lover drives the new Jetta and finds out how much of a turd it is, they have to go back to a real VW.......
  13. minivans should stay strong. there are still enough folks out there who need or want the room. dodge vans are cheap price, that can offset gas cost. and dodge did a nice job of fixing a lot of the issues with them. but the next gen of them will need to shed at least 500 pounds and not look like a work van.
  14. they will have to fix the front schnoz. the cube is DOA, i can't see it lasting past 2013MY. Nissan has sort of went off the deep end with styling lately......
  15. why bother if the regal GS motor already does better numbers?
  16. I see plenty of the toyota honda blindness first hand. Brand image is so much of it, you just can't overstate it.....usually its folks who really do treat cars like necessary evil appliances. And clearly are people who have no interest in cars.
  17. not sure why either, it was a tough tough month......did i mention, tough......i'll say it again, tough. they've spent some dough on some ads recently too. the front cover in a lot of buff books. the long term reviews are finishing up and are all pretty favorable. the tween sizing does hurt in some instances, lost a few due to Legacy being larger despite not liking the Legacy as much. real world gas mileage is good (one has gotten 36 on trip) but the epa numbers are not eye popping / misleading. getting killed w/ cheap leasing on other makes, and from below on the compacts just in terms of buzz and interest and traffic. cruze in particular i know been cut out from underneath, cruze has a huge market buzz going. Residuals are the white elephant in the room. Gotta get some way to get these things out on cheap cheap cheaper than toyota leases. once lost one to a mazda6 due to less size and no cruise on the base manual. had plenty of folks who drive it, love it, but honda and toyota owners in particular who can't divorce themselves from another in a decades long line of them. Lost one on a Malibu lease recently. Person was in 6 times, loved it, but spouse was dead set against anything not chevy, ford, honda, or toyota. That one was rather frustrating because their original plan was to not lease, and to get an all wheel drive. Funny though, more than a few who buy them are those you would not expect and its because they tried it and were smitten in some way by it. You'd be surprised how many mull - it types show interest....... TIme for them to fix some option packaging / pricing, add some power, jazz up the dash a bit, and add some gadgets and tech. Clean up the CVT and manual shifters a bit and ........ Hate to say it, but I actually think getting more in the rental fleets would help a lot......get some butts in the seats......
  18. Honda could stand to weed out some models. And not much in the way of their hybrids are really burning up the charts. Fit and Accord are down too. Element was cool like 6 years ago. I think Accord will always cycle back, and the Fit is pretty much a needed product here now. Civic is doing fine with tough competition. CRZ is a nice car except it needs to ditch the hybrid. Insight should leave. Civic hybrid too. RL, too. Fortunately the Odyssey and Pilot are doing well and the TL and TSX are keeping the doors open. Must be people who gagged on the Accord and went to the Acura dealer for a real Honda. I think Honda needs to get the Civic and Accord lines fixed. They need to decide if the CRz will become the accessible sporty coupe or if the Civic is adequate there. They need to clean up styling across the board. Acura needs a halo sedan and some type of performance coupe. An NSX return may be cool too. ZDX and crosstour should leave. Element and Ridgeline should leave. I dunno, Honda doesn't really have a differentiator these days.... Saw a new Kia Rio today, really like the design (too bad its not Forte sized). That car has a heck of a lot more character than so many Hondas nowadays...
  19. VW's passat strategy is paying off...........
  20. my guess is they do that in the US in one or two model years too.......
  21. current Bu still be sold in 2012? Chevy and Caddies Vues are selling well. 3k Captivas, none retail? SRX carrying caddy. Pleased that Buick is hanging on. Verano should boost the brand. GMC proves why they matter. Impala and Malibu sales are a big red flag IMHO......
  22. yikes! cute, but it's not gonna be a playa here......
  23. they pulled all the right moves with the redo, except a good basic four banger. they could still man it up a little more, but overall i give em a solid A for execution. It's definitely more mannish than a stinkin little Mini now.......Mini's are right up there as ultimate chick cars now.... If they could rice up the front and rear fascias a bit on some special models I think they can do it. folks this is one of the least diluted VW's out there now. VW is whoring their brand out now to any sort of vehicle they can. Be damned happy any of their cars will have this kind of character in the US in five years.......
  24. like the exterior enough but the interior is a huge disaster.....
