Z28 should be the top dog. It's somethign only Camaro has going for it. Also, SS doesn't mean what it used to be, anymore.
-
AWESOME!!! Save those pennies, boys and girls! The glue factory is re-opened!!!!
-
As for what I'd WANT, it's be a Super Sport Camaro all the way! As for wha tI'll be able to afford, it'll probably be a Z28....and I won't complain once. Anything's better than a damned dirty Mustang, which will be lagging behind both of them....!!

Well...this article f***ing sucks. "The Camaro will fail because the GTO did" is the dumbest bit of logic I'v eheard in many a year. I suppose that the writer of said article didn't stop to think abou the die-hard Chevy fans that wouldn't piss on a Ford to put out a fire, or the nearly 40 years worth of fans the Camaro has accumulated in its own right. Moron. If the Camaro fails, it'll be because Gm doesn't support it. Alot of people will gladly pay 30,000 dollars for a bad-ass Bow-Tie machine just to kick dirt in the face of an OVERRATED Mustang. People will look on the Chevy lot, see a 'Vette for 75-80,000 bucks, and then see a Camaro for 25-40, 000 bucks, and they will make their decision accordingly. Camaro will fail....stupidity....utter stupidity.

SWEET! As for Optimus....c'mon, guys!! He has to be the classic version or not at all!!! Dammit....why is that so hard to get?!!? Either way, the Camaro looks bad-ass as always!

This is great news! That gives me a solid 2 years to save up a down payment for this bad boy....or to win the lottery....or to sell a kidney or whatever. I'll park it right beside my '69.....Ah! It'll be wonderful!!!
-
Man....this car cannot get here soon enough! There are Mustangs that need whoopin'!!!!
-
From what I read of it, it was a pretty fun article. Yeah, the Camaro being all speculation pretty much means the results are just for fun, but that's fien by me! Nothing wrong with a little fun...
-
Well... this is great news. It pretty much contradicts the news of the Camaro not being produced until 2010....at least, I hope it does.
-
AWESOME!! For once....what we see, is what we'll get!!!
-
Another vote for Camaro from yours truly.

Mustn't...drool....on keyboard.... Man...what I wouldn't give to have a nice Banks Power Twin Turbo bib block under the hood of my '69 Camaro.....
-
Nice work, man! Now I'm tchin' to see the Camaro convertible concept! And just when I was content....

It's all but set in stone that one of these will be in my driveway as soonas they are available. It'll probably be the primary driver for the missus, seeing as how she only works 8 miles from home and we want to keep this baby pampered...except on the weekends. Besides, I already have a '69 Camaro....I figure I'll let the missus have some fun.

That's f***in' hilarious! Well, rest assured, when this car is on the road, people will know it all too well.

This is a damn fine car. I honestly didn't know how any car would ever live up to the nameplate of "Camaro" again....now I see. This car [is][/b] a Camaro....and I'm buying one the second it rolls out onto the floor.

MY wife and I have already discussed this. It has a back seat, and we are planning on having children, so it'll work. She's always wanted a Camaro, and I have a 1969 Camaro at home. Baby will make two. Make the damn thing, keep the price for a Z28 right around 20-25 thou, and I will buy one.

Now worries, man! Just because I love Camaros doesn't mean that I think everyone who owns one is a terrific driver! Hell...a few of them are downright pathetic...

My love affair started back in 1992, when my Dad and I went to a car show in town. I was hall-bent on owning a '67 Corvette....nothing could change my mind.... Then I saw her. A 1969 Camaro SS...Red with Black Racing stripes. Beautiful. As soon as I saw her, my mind was changed. A few years later, as my Dad and I were talking about what car I should get when I got my liscence, we happened to pass a hill-top in Johnston County...and there sat a White with Orange Stripes 1969 Camaro. The price-tag...only $4200. We brought her home, and began the work of getting her ready. She needed a new tranny, a LOT of new wiring, and a good ol' tune-up. The 327 was freshened up as best as we could afford, and we had her painted (twice). Left her the same colors, which had grown on me. Mustang after Mustang after Mustang has fallen behind her over the years....so have many an import, and some cars that I don't know how I've beaten, but I did. She and I have had some good runs. We didn't win them all, but we've come out on top more often than not. Now, 2 fender-benders and another restoration later, it's time to start a frame-off restoration of my baby girl. She'll be restored as close to original as I can stand...she'll be red (the original color), but it won't be a Garnet Red. She'll have white upholstery (although it's now Houndstooth). She'll have e powerful V-8 (however, if the numbers don't match on the 327, it'll be MUCH more powerful). Now, witht he (potential) 2009 Camaro coming out, I have one more promise to keep to my wife... I told her, seeing as how I already have a Camaro, when they bring it back, the next one is hers. So, the love affair lives, and it's claimed a new member.

Wow.....I am so happy right now. This looks alot like my '69, but it isn't a direct rip-off of the older models like some other cars I could mention.... Is now too early to get on the waiting list for an SS?
