  1. My neighbors mother bought a pilot same day we bought the sebring...$33k is way over priced from what I expierienced riding in it.
  2. I wish the avenger had a more substantial grill though. It's too thin like the caliber's grill.
  3. The Chryslers interior looks well designed and a very nice place to be.
  4. I swear, it's like they're in another world!
  5. Even though I am a kid...I don't do that...I only act like a spitful person when some does it to me first. I hate that I follow all the road rules(mostly lol) and people can't drive and get away with it.
  6. i USE my horn. People tick me off. Also, I was on a u shaped driveway today waiting for my sister to come out o0f summer school and this idiot double parks, leaving barely any space for a car to get through...so I gave her the horn and sped off. I love the horn.
  7. I now officially hate commercial trucks. A few days ago we brought the sebring to Town and Country for a scratch repair on the rear bumper and the hood and for an estimate of the damage my mom caused to it a few weeks ago, and they gave us an 07 PT base for a loaner car. So we have been using, its quite fun to drive! Anyway, today I was driving down a main road and I saw this truck backing up into the opposite lane about 10 seconds up the road. So I noticed that everyone behind it stopped and was waiting because it had blocked all traffic comeing towards me. It was stopped so I thought that it wouldn't back up into on coming traffic...but ofcourse it decides to back up more into on coming traffic...so whos the first that would hit it...thats right! it was me. So all of a sudden I slow down quickly, check my mirrors and swerve into the right lane as to not hit the truck...while I was avoiding it, I decided to hold down my horn for a good 8 seconds to let them know what idiots they are. Jeez, imagine what would have happend if I had totaled a loaner car...or if I would be alive. Truck drivers are fools.
  8. I de-rusted my fender today! Now its white and not rusty..but still dull! I avoided an accident!
  9. I think that's an issue for all auto companies. If you like the styling of the 300 more then charger, but the 300 is $3k+ more, you are still not going to buy the charger. You'll buy another car. I certainly would take a G6 over malibu, but if I couldn't afford a G6 but could afford a malibu, I would take my money somewhere else.
  10. Exactly...I felt like throwing the electra into a crusher the other day. Now I'm motivated again.
  11. ill leave the heatercore to the mechanic...plus i dont need it til fall.
  12. I'm going with my dad on fri. to talk to the guy who fixed my dads car. Im going to fix my breaks and get a new fuse panel installed first, just so the car is completely drivable. I guess we'll drop the electra off at the mechanic late that night...to avoid police and lots of traffic. Also have to put in a new exhaust. Then we are going to insure it and register it so we can take it for a paintjob and minor bodywork. Then in the fall it gets a heatercore.
  13. Yea, before I was in a REALLY bad mood...maybe cuz I was trying to do this stuff in 90 degree weather. I'm going to worry about the mechanical stuff first so I can actually drive the car to a paint shop!
  14. no, i didnt drive it. I really dont care anymore....I am so fed up with old cars at this point. I can't get the heatercore out of the electra and my first attempt at body work failed. I now have a lumpy covered up dent.
  15. I still don't know...the car is sooo slow. And the gas milage is very small between the electra's 325 hp and the 50's 110 hp engines.
  16. Im really on the fence.... 50' Buick Pros-has modern stereo, paint condition better then electra, needs less mechanical work?, straight body Cons- very old...hard to find parts, slow, too much cutomization, will need paint eventually, im guessing high mileage, very "soft" looking Electra Pros-powerhouse, muscle look, newer, easier to find replacement windows and a few parts, LOW mileage, more car like then 50', more safety featres Cons-AM radio that dont work, needs fusebox, needs heatercore, needs paint, needs minor breakwork, needs bodywork anyone know where I could get a fuse box???
  17. As i said, Im not looking for original...especially for the price. A weird thing though, there are police style lights where the outside mirrors are usually locatead...quite interesting.
  18. Well, I walked over and took another look through the window...The car was obviously one of those custom type cars. On the outside, theres that stupid handpainted designs that usually go areound trunk locks and emblems and a decal trhat shows "<3's desire". There is dice on all the locks and vent adjustments, speakers have been installed behine the back seats, and the conti kit and lack of ext. handles further proves that. And th windows seemed somewhat tinted...very lightly though. None the less this is a very cool car that I will find out much more about when I see the seller. There is some cracking in the paint but very visually appealing for now. Here is an interior pic:
  19. Well there is a classic buick parts site that I visit that sells all stuff from 1945 on where I can get parts. And about the electric doors, I have to talk to the owner about that situation. Maybe my dad can chew them down...ya know "what if it breaks" "the paint isnt in mint shape" "its not completely original". I really want this car, especially since its not a mess like the electra. ANNND a few extra speakers were installed i saw...maybe theres a hidden CD Player.
  20. if the kit hasnt been bolted through the sheet metal...then I would remove it. But a lot of money has been put into customizing that thing...Anyone want to buy a 66 Electra for $6000 with 15k orig miles?
  21. The driveway. The electra is there now.
  22. where is balthazar when you need him??? lol
  23. I find it funny that my saturn gets 40 mpg while a car the same size needs to be a hybrid to get that...if it even gets that.
  24. I would definetally do that, but I wouldn't ever take this car on the highway...Just locally. Have to do a good inspection first...tomarrow night with my dad.
  25. Unfortunatelly the electras motor is the selling point for the electra. As long as this car isnt a slug, I'll be fine.
