  1. Yesterday afternoon, about 12 o clock....I towed home a 1988 Oldsmobile 98 Touring Sedan.....that I bought for $200. I think I must be crazy... in love.
  2. A few Real variants could add a little sex appeal back to Buick. I'd love to see a Regal GS Coupe/ hard top convertable. I also noticed while checking out he Opel website that in Europe the Insignia has a 5 door variant ( 4 door hatch: think late 80's Lebaron) that might sell very well here as people more away from SUV's and back towards smaller cars.
  3. I hope your wrong, but I know your probably right.......GM doesn't need to compete with itself, why sell Buicks at Chevrolet prices with Chevrolet equipment? If I remember right that didn't work well for Oldsmobile, Pontiac, or Saturn.
  4. I may be wrong but I think GM said that the Regal was going to be sold on America only in the top level CXL trim with standard 18 inch alloys and leather seats.
  5. Lacrosse Link Standard equipment on the Lacrosse is 17 inch steel wheels with wheel covers......... or as the rest of us know them.....plastic hubcaps.
  6. I'm very happy to see standard leather and alloy wheels on the new Regal as well as it only being offered in the top of the line CXL trim. Now GM just needs to remove the cloth seats and plastic hubcaps from the rest of their line up and I think I'll be sold on their plans. If this new Buick line up doesn't pull in many more customers, primarily many more young customers (as in too young to belong to AARP or use and oxygen tank) then it is safe to say for the first time in 30 years that its the customers fault for not trying the product, not GMs fault. Some where there is a Buick dealer calling out to his employees: "Someone go grab a shovel so we can dig a grave for the Lucerne before the young folks get here."
  7. I voted Oldsmobile, its it amazing that Oldsmobile has this much support 5 years after they stopped building it? Right now its Olds in the lead with 11 votes, followed by Pontiac with 8, Buick and GMC have 0. I hope a GM product planner comes across this poll.....
  8. When will the car be launched?
  9. One more bleeder off GM's books, one step closer to GM getting back its mojo.
  10. I live in New England, and area long ago lost to the imports. I have yet to see a new Lacrosse, SRX or Terrain. I have seen 1 or 2 Equinox on the road so far. I have seen a few Camaros since they just about stop traffic in a sea of Accords and Altimas. Here no one is considering the majority of GM products (Impala, Lucerne, DTS, Cobalt, Aveo, etc) For all makes this sale chart was poor. GM is still doing higher volume then most, but I wonder how many of those sales are fleet and how many are well optioned models. At least GM PR is still trying to put a positive spin on it.
  11. GM and Chrysler should be held responsible to repay all of the money even if it takes years, these were loans not welfare checks.
  12. Sept. 9 (Bloomberg) -- General Motors Co. Chief Financial Officer Ray Young will probably leave the biggest U.S. automaker in coming weeks, people familiar with the situation said. Click For the Rest of the Story.
  13. Wow imagine if GM cared enough about its customers to actually build such a car....o well.
  14. Create a score system (1-5 or 1-10) to rate the product in comparison to the competition: fit and finish, price, ride quality, interior noise, etc. Each test should also include a brief history of the model : ex Buick Lucerne replaced the LeSabre/Park Avenue for the 2006 model year..... Also sales date for the model tested would be cool.
  15. Check it out!
  16. Great news, its good to hear that these workers are going back to work, hopefully as GM gets stronger we will hear of more American employees being called back.
  17. We need a "like" option like on Facebook so I can like this response, because it hits the nail right smack in the middle of the head.
  18. Where are the port holes?????
  19. I agree 100%, how can a business that wants to sell product be too busy for the customer? GM should take action with these dealers. Lets face it, most people look at these dealers with the impression: If not for my tax money, you wouldn't have a Camaro to sell. Maybe these dealers need a wake up call, they are selling GM products as in the same GM that has seen market share drop for 30 years....you would think they might try a little harder to get someone to trade in a competitor's car on one of their hot new products. If the dealer isn't going to pull out all the stops to help turn GM around then GM should show them the door.
  20. How come this thread doesn't have the ability to add youtube video? I just check another thread and I see the option there but not here?
  21. I'm shocked that their value has help up so well considering the economy and demand for fwd gm anything from the 1990s. Hopefully this will keep them out of the scrap yard.
  22. 1985 Cutlass Ciera Holiday coupe. A friend of mine made this video about 4 years ago for a video production class in highschool (its filmed the the highschool parking lot), watching it again its pretty bad. Since this video the cars gotten a good amount of work including a new vinyl roof (and red emblems that arn't faded) and a ton of new trim (like the hood ornament). Some of the text in the video doesn't make much sense (Olds Road Managment....) he just needed some stuff to put into it so I let him read through the brochure for the car......"Top Level Luxury!"
  23. I saw that ad and it pissed me off. GM sells that POS to some of its most loyal customers (Oldsmobile buyers) and then after discontinuing their brand of choice, makes a mockery of the very product these people bought. Only GM would be dumb enough to spend all that money just to remind people "we sold you a piece of $h!".
  24. Very nice, lucky for me next year their right on the CT/MA boarder. About how many cars were there at the show?
  25. The Google ad at the bottom of the video says "Bankruptcy Cadillac Style"..... seems fitting.
