  3. Illinois (First, it's a she and she went to my parish. Second, I was talking about my upcoming trip to Florida/Atlanta for Memorial Day + 7 days where there are lots of dimsah in the waterways)
  4. dimsah hakeh leh kelb Arabic for: the crocodile/alligator ate the dog - my Palestinian Catholic friend in Sacto taught me that.
  5. Like the lady with her hair in a net in the food line at IU: "You won' feesh, ij ya?"
  6. Don't be blaming Italy, now!Q: What's the difference between an elderly Italian woman and an elephant? A: About 50 pounds and a black dress

  8. NOS-o-rama: This is a first. You know I'm one of the "3800 til death" fiends on this site. Do you have any read as to why this happened? I know some Series II had intake manifold problems and you suspected you might have had this problem, but does this work its way down into the lower engine? Let us know. Good luck with the project.
  9. I'm sure the Midwesterners on the site won't dig your dig. Hey, I went to the Univ. of Illinois from the other coast and boarded a plane 2 hours after my last final. Ciao, baby. It's not me. I'm a southern latitudes kind of person. Spring and summer only? No change of seasons? NO problem. That's what plane rides to Montreal for peak color are for! Incidentally, a lot of Midwestern chicks will (eventually) put on a caboose. If not sooner, than later. Part of it is those big Germanic and Scandinavian frames (look at wrists and ankles as a foretelling feature) and the other is that it's easy to want to eat when you're stuck inside and it's face-freezing cold.
  10. There's a lot of dislike of minty greens and steel blues. Personally, the right shade of light metallic blue is my favorite color for a car, bar none. Oldsmobile has pulled off some good renditions of these. There was a light metallic green in the 80s, again by Olds, called Light Jadestone Metallic that I loved. It looked great on the Supreme coupe with non-body color alloy wheels.
  11. Please don't mess with after-market stuff on a new car while it's within its warranty period, which is now 4 years for Buicks over other GM products. I doubt that the cost will be offset by any incremental gains in fuel mileage. Furthermore, it may invalidate your warranty. Just drive with a light foot and do all the rights to maximize fuel mileage on your own. I, too, am quite miffed with the price of gas. Oscillations from $ 2.30 to $ 3.00 like it's no big deal seem awfully artificial. If you are getting the 28 to 30 mpg on the freeway in this type of car, you're doing well. Enjoy the great Buick ride with the decent gas mileage that comes with it!

  13. As much as I want to LOVE the car, I can't. I do like it though. Which styling traits could be tweaked to make it less geriatric and still retain its core audience as well as attract newcomers?

    AWKWARD!

Look carefully, PB, there is also a loin cloth tail out the back as well, so it's some kind of Polynesian stripper get-up. It's just a flap, not a phallus. You are incorrigible.

    AWKWARD!

They very much look like Heidi Fleiss wanna-bes. Camino, that was rude.
  16. Hey...an idea. Since your brother is good at this kind of stuff, how about letting him listen to it. He wouldn't have to WORK on it, but at least he can give it a listen. You will have something to go off of when you ultimately take it in to the mechanic. I just hope it's one of those "cheaper" ( ) noises. "Yo, mechanic, listen heah, there's a cheaper noise I want you to listen to" (said in Long-Islandese) J/K.
  17. Oh. Ok, then, the Camry as a benchmark for the C/R red dots...and the above vehicles as a benchmark for panache and making a statement.
  18. fencewalker (that's my Mom)
  19. I guess a premium 4-cylinder would unfortunately have to use the Camry as a benchmark. What else that is ought there would be considered a premium 4 cylinder? I'm asking...not telling.

  21. I'm pretty limited: 1. Pictionary 2. Trivial pursuit Haven't played cards in over 10 years. Pictionary: got "Times Square" once...quickly drew an aerial of the 5 boroughs and then lined in "Bdwy - 7th - 42nd" and our team got it as a result of it. I had to draw fast. Trivial Pursuit: you want me on your team for the geography questions...this chick once insisted she knew the answer and didn't...it was about a body of water touching Iran....the answer was "Caspian Sea" and I knew that...well, we got it wrong....pushy bitch.
