  1. Grecian for Men
  2. We have 2 Spanish speaking architects at work and we needed to figure out how to say this in Spanish. It would be: "Comedora de Alfombra" (Eater of Carpet) This is hilarious. We will pop our heads into each other's offices as we walk by and say "A-l-f-o-m-b-r-a" in a very stern and drawn out manner and others have no clue who we're talking about. We still periodically send e-mails with this message to people who have left our firm but were in on the joke.
  3. Jim Dandy Fried Chicken
  4. chin (he or she has "more Chins than a Chinese phone book")
  5. you are WAY too predictable....after I wrote my post, I figured you'd go there as it rhymes. Reply: DING
  6. It's sort of like an accountant/treasurer type.
  7. phallic symbol
  8. ORANGE Thanks, PB, you're such an ass...
  9. Just a joke. A purser is a position on the ship...that's what Isaac, the black guy, did on "The Love Boat."
  10. I can only stand mild food. That being said, I like (cooked) Japanese food and Chinese food of the Cantonese variety (moving away toward Mandarin and Szechwan (sp) doesn't work for me). And I like it with a knife, fork and spoon. I must be one of the few people I know that will NOT go near Thai and Vietnamese food. Even with zero stars is too spicy for me. I don't like to sit there and go back to work with my nose running.
  11. matronly
  12. Hell no. Do we ask Asians how well THEY do at eating with spoons and forks? Why do we try to imitate cultures we are not when we are NOT on their soil. When in Rome, do as the Romans do...but on our turf, why bother?
  13. The Doria's safes were supposed to be filled with money, jewelry and artworks and they went down there (a documentary show) and did not find anything worthwhile. (The purser took them all!!!) They even cut an additional hole in the ship to get to them. It was egg on the face but it made for an interesting 1-hour documentary.
  14. Forgetting about the load of Asian cars dropped into the water off Alaska, did anyone watch the History Channel documentary on the Andrea Doria sinking and rescue last night?
  15. tattoos
  16. You are so weird, PB. :AH-HA_wink:
  17. confused
  18. Work day: Business casual - slacks, shirt or polo, loafers All other times: jeans or shorts, t-shirt, flip-flops
  19. Well, it's a big cosmopolitan city. Those Midwest hefers you refer to live in the smaller Midwestern towns....big shoulders and big calves...yikes. Still, I am NOT a fan of Chicago and I went to the Univ. of Illinois. I just plain don't like it very much. And I can't stand when people say "Oh, wow, it's a great town." And I ask why. And they say "Oh, great bars." And I think, "Who gives a $h!." What's there nice that's around there. Nothing. Seriously, you can look at pretty girls in So. Florida and Atlanta. They'll be just as bitchy and have as much attitude, but at least the weather is warmer. BRRRRRRRR...
  20. Houston is number 4. Any thoughts on Houston? I almost think I'd like it better than PHX because you can be at the Gulf in 45 minutes...but others probably think I'm crazy.
  21. Really, some fancy car chassis was on board? The Maybach was brought to NY aboard to QE2 a few years back. It was cool. There was a picture of the ship passing the Statue of Liberty being circled by helicopters as this car sat out there on one of the upper decks.BTW, the Andrea Doria is off your coastline. Just don't get any ideas and go diving onto the wreck...pretty dangerous stuff. Incidentally, this is TOO WEIRD and too much of a coincidence. YESTERDAY: Capsized Cargo Ship Full of Cars Off Alaska It was bringing 5,000 cars from Asia to Canada. But there was no collision.
  22. Arizona...Arizona...and more Arizona...Yeah, but your hometown came in at Number 1 and the rest is all arid intermountain West. Wow, some population surprises. PHX has 1 and a half million? Henderson and Bakersfield are at a quarter of a million? Chico is, just like its name, small...but for some weird reason, I like it and I tend to dislike noisy college towns. (Nick always add a post that he hates it...LOL).
  23. Amen. I bought some at 21.36. If I recall, it hit 18 and some change at one point. I knew it would go up. I'm not that risky, so I didn't buy that much. I wish I had bought more.
  24. Song is a part of Delta, like Ted is a part of United. Get it now? Reply to "Thai food": regurgitate
