  1. Oh, you're so funny, P.
  2. While I agree with most, I disagree with the following: 1. The Impala, or whatever name, ought to go RWD after the end of its model run. 2. Since the MC has the economies of scale associated with the Impala, it ought to run tandem with the Impala. I disagree that there is no role for it....to kill off both the Monte and not offer a Riviera would mean that NO one at GM is offering a mid- to full-size coupe...the new 'Maro just isn't in the same territory/niche. 3. The Maxx is going away? (WPBH will undoubtedly be having withdrawals, j/k). I never liked this car, anyway -- it will be seen as the Citation hatchback of the new millenium.
  3. Pretty likely after all the talk over the months and years at C&G and elsewhere. Two comments: 1. Looks like GP may then not participate in an enhancement like the LaX circa 2008 if it is to be canned; the sad end of a legacy 2. Please, please, no names like G8...I always like the named Bonneville...they need a name-name for the flagship
  4. Makes sense to me: 1. Full-size car LUCERNE Most likely RWD the next go around (Zeta) 2. Mid-size car LA CROSSE or EQUIV May still be FWD at the next go around (Epsilon 2), anchoring the entry into a Buick Thus: a. all their cars can't be RWD as some people in harsher climates could benefit from FWD b. the LaX is around a little longer as a W to align itself with the production of the 3800 V6 (no comments, guys) and allow for the benefit of 2 years from a mid-cycle enhancement 3. SUV type vehicle ENCLAVE the co-existence of Rainier and Rendezvous is ridiculous, anyway 4. Wild card Sure would be nice to see either or both a a. RIVIERA that is an exquisitely executed personal luxury RWD coupe b. VELITE that is an up-market RWD response to the Solstice THAT'S IT - 4 or 5 clearly defined vehicles representing segments in which Buick should be dabbling.
  5. Nice pix, T.Y.D. Why don't you damn Canadians say "friends who went to COLLEGE with me" like the 300 million people living right across the border from and south of you?
  6. Happy birthday, Kid Vahn-koo-vair!
  7. Reg, are you bragging by implying you need both hands? Incorrigible architects...damn them! I am a LaCrosse defender but see some of the inherent flaws. If the following were fixed, wouldn't it be a nice® car? 1. front end, tries to be Lex or Jag, but fails 2. handling which is less than sporty in CX and CXL 3. dash which is rather bland and has a lot of blank space 4. interior cloth seating akin to mousefur 5. sub-optimal space in rear Aside from that, it is a nice car that offers 10 to 15 years of reliable motoring for the money and that's with the 3800 V6. It just needs to creep up a bit in terms of overall packaging. Pantho, relax, Zeta will come soon enough. But, then again, won't you be cursing on a slick and slippery winter day up there on the border of MA and NH? :AH-HA_wink:

Atelogo! Pardon my poor spelling...I'm trying, ZL-1.
  11. Ormai sono un po' stanco d'aspettare. Penso che le proprie macchine arriveranno abbastanza presto. Che cosa c'e con Buick che non aggiorna il sito? Cretini.
  12. Look at the current 2007/2008 Motor Trend Buyers guide within the latest issue. Under LaCrosse, the summary says something like 'fortunately not the future of Buick' or something like that. It's obvious they don't like the brand. Their one-liner for Lucerne is a little more flattering, but not by much.
  13. I LOATHE that term...sorry...by the way, how's Brenda the husky-voiced cocktail waitress?
  14. I hated art (and most architecture classes - which I do for a living) because of all the 'effin weird creative types in there....and, according to my grades and reviews, I was regarded as having talent. My question: does one have to be an introverted socially inept weirdo to design stuff: buildings, toaster ovens, cars, whatever? At any rate, best of luck and ENJOY. College is a time to learn and have fun in the process.

  17. I KNEW SOME PERVERT WOULD GO THERE WITH MY LAST POST....Frank!!!My response: dream on
  18. Thank you, Flybry. Great job and great photos....and great Florida backdrops!!! Like the front end and like the rear end. The side is a bit bulbous for my taste. That could have been diminished by lowering the greenhouse beltline, IMO. The interior looks functional and comfortable. LOVE the in-dash ignition....just had a GP rental last weekend, and that is a feature I thoroughly believe in. When viewed with open rear doors, the seats look somewhat Malibu-esque. At least they look nicely finished and bolstered. The articulation of the dash outside of the simple bezels is a little weird, I agree. I'd like to see how the 3.5 propels this car. I believe it pumps out 224 ponies in this rendition. Question: is this EPS - electric power steering or hydraulic belt-driven? I don't know if I could go for one. There's an austerity to it that doesn't suit me but I respect the achievement and wish it fetches many unit sales for our beloved GM.

  20. THANK YOU for all this good info, Harley. I love the Pontiac line. Sometimes a bit overstyled, but always distinctive. So much so that the twin-grille treatment has successfully remained a signature for PMD. There's so much to love that, as I look at the history of the brand, it's amazing how anyone would choose a totally vapid foreign car.

  22. LOL Yeah, considering the following: Cutlass "1": 350 cu in 4 bbl Rocket V8 = 170 hp Cutlass "2": 3.8 litre 2 bbl V6 = 110 hp Regal: 3800 FI Series I V6 = 170 hp

  25. Ser gut... Or, because it's a Grand Le Mans: C'est bonne C'est tres bonne Seriously, I LOVE that car. Looking on E-Bay and can't find one. How do I go about digging one up to keep as a second car?
