I was following 2 of them (not deliberately) on the freeway today during lunch time. They are kind of cool...and certainly WAY better looking and better proportioned than the PT Cruiser.

Well, I'm a broken record...so here goes: I am wrapping up a night time Masters in May 2007, so I don't want nor need a new car to dash like a madman on the freeway and in the parking structure looking for a space between my 48 hours at the office and my 2 classes at night. Then, I'll go to Europe for most of June and July, so the 2008s will be here when I return. Hence: Choice 1 2008 Buick La Crosse CX with some options (alloys, conv. package), 3800 V6 (the Intrigue of the new millenium, right?) Choice 2 2008 Monte Carlo LT 3.5 VVT V6 Choice 3 2008 Pontiac Grand Prix base 3800 V6 Unless something else comes around by GM or someone can convince me otherwise, these are the choices.

No. Thankfully not. They are on the thin side....European style. No big shoulders and calves to be seen...at least, not as many as you would see in a city in the heartland. In this regard, Montreal is a lot more like Europe than America....NO FAT CHICKS.

1. those Romanesque limestone rowhouses are cool, but I like newer construction...I would be depressed living in something that musty and frumpy 2. Look at those cool buildings and the copper dome...I swear, Montreal looks especially good under gray skies...I don't know why 3. The Travelodge...AAARRRRGGGGHHHHH....not THIS time! 1. The Cathedral is weak on the outside but gorgeous on the inside. Celine can get married in the main church, the rest of the world has to get married in one of the small chapels in the back. 2. I love that overpass that looks at the Convention Center with the freeway (Autoroute Ville Marie) buzzing underneath 3. The leaves look pretty green. I will be there in about 1 week. Great pix. What a KICK-ASS city. If I was more resistant to cold weather, I think I would enjoy living there...after all, my friends call me the "welcome wagon" for foreigners....and there are lots of them in Montreal, right?

U of I - as in "Cham-bana?" - My "second" alma mater - a lot of work and not much of a fun time, right down to an ulcer! I usually remember things to great detail, but that is a place I want to forget and couldn't even tell you most of the street names anymore since I've purged that experience from my brain.

By the way, I think most people photograph better in a candid when they don't know their picture is being taken. I get fairly uptight in front of the camera. I like candids I've found myself in better than staged photos.

Hah..you, as an architect in the making, will have to deal with parking lot design around your buildings. That being said: if it's angled parking, I will pull in forward if it's 90 degree perpendicular to the drive aisle, I will do either, depending on what's easiest. if it's parking where the space beyond is unoccupied, I will definitely pull up the whole way so I can drive out forward. All of the rules of thumb regarding parking design are somewhat interesting. I deal with it about 3x a year.
