  1. No, ocnblu, I am Brooks Brothers business casual all the way. My response to thread: banger
  2. That's right...you keep him in line! You mean the island of Lesvos in Greece, K.C.? My response to thread: Richter scale
  3. $h!, why be so limited, I've been told I've "got a thing for the Maple Leaf country" by a friend from WA state, so Happy Boxing Day to you too!
  4. Bad, bad, bad 70s architecture...nothing "contemporary" about it! LOL. P.S. How does that portion of the roof where the sled has capsized shed water/snow? No gutter and no apparent "1/4" per lineal foot" in the horizontal direction. :AH-HA_wink:
  5. You are wretched. I like "the pick" in the black guy's hair.
  6. I thought about this over the weekend, wondering how many times I've driven it, since it occurred to me I knew just about all the exit numbers and the names that go with them. It would be I-5 between Portland OR and Seattle WA (173 miles). My parents live in the former and I have lived in the latter for 3 - 1/2 years. That's worth about 70 trips right there. Then about 50 or so when I lived in Portland and went up to Seattle for the hell of it. Then another 30 when I have lived in other places, went to see my parents and roadtripped to "the Emerald City" (Seattle's nickname) or continued on to Vancouver BC Canada. That's about 52,000 miles driven on that route alone. Good stats, too: only 1 breakdown....never in the Regal, but once in the 84 Cutlass Supreme Brougham when I lost the timing chain coming into the Portland city limit as I got off a ramp. No bent valves since the 3.8 V6 is "non interference/free wheeling." Whew.
  7. You guys are way more sophisticated than me in this regard, being that foreign cars are largely "invisible" to me. So, since it's so damn vapid, I'll say: Camry Camry Camry Camry Camry Camry Camry Camry Camry ...and...oh yeah... Camry
  8. Damn it...you're a mind reader...that's what I thought should follow! My response: Redrum
  9. We HAD Lauren...in mind, body, spirit, signature and avatar .

  11. Thank you and likewise to you. I'll accept the CHRISTmas greetings just fine.

  13. Happy birthday...enjoy! Snow in Mass.? BTW - your AV is right up there with Nick's "Silkey"
  14. Merry Birthday! (That's what everyone writes in the card of a fellow employee with a 12/25 b-day!)

  16. Great job. Very talented dude, to be sure. I have Z to thank for my sig. When my cousins in Italy saw the sig, they had to put the phone down they were laughing so hard. Frank's da man!
  17. Affordable: LaCrosse CX sedan or Monte Carlo LT coupe Toward the expensive: Cadillac DTS (and a stocking stuffed full of prepaid gas cards to help me feed it for a handful of years, if I may be so bold)
  18. declaration
  19. Agree. The W-body has been my best car ever in terms of reliability. I don't care that it's old school. I love its reliability. Disagree. I think the Chinese LaCrosse is awkward, with a lot of little quirky styling cues that don't work well together. I think the LaCrosse on this side of the pond is quite fixable, with a few nips and tucks here and there. I had the opportunity to live with one for a week in Montreal and loved the damn car. Happy holidays, guys!
  20. You're funny.

  22. Well, here I am packing for tomorrow afternoon's flight up to PDX. I will stick around Friday night and all of Monday, the 25th, before flying out. Sat and Sun will probably be a jaunt to Seattle, overnighting up there. I can only stay near my Mom for very limited doses as she is both a pain-in-the-ass and stupid...sorry. (I was told, "I hope you bring up some nice clothes and go to Mass on Christmas day." ) I can't believe that someone who can't do ANYTHING would need to instruct me...I have no problem with the Mass part, as I will probably find a parish to duck into and go to church, but the apparel part is out of control. At any rate, how will you be spending the upcoming holiday weekend? (Today I was wondering about moltar and the blast of snow which closed down Denver, a major air hub).
  23. Pee Wee Herman
  24. Glanced at it real quick...it takes work to put one of these together. A couple of people here at work (generally the under-30 crowd) have these. The part that jumped out: "don't want kids" --
  25. Thanks, guy! Remember: 260 V8, rally II wheels and crushed velour 60-40 or buckets/console set-up. How can I forget, since we're in a Minnesota state of mind, I could meet WMJ and Regfootball at the same time, bitching about "archi-torture" with the latter of the two.
