Is it? I missed that. Instead, I went toward Ken Caryl Ranch and such (SW) to look at the new homes and the prices.Hey, about 2 years ago, didn't you have some grisly mountain lion attacks right outside of Rancho Santa Margarita? I was reading the story. Unbelievable. Next time I'm in the Mile High City, I will check out Cherry Creek Village. I hate Boulder...too granola.

How much does gas have to be before you scrap your V8 plans?

Ever thought this thread is becoming more like personals with pix on the web ... rather than "Meet and Greet"?

Seriously, I wish you had $ 2.00 on your poll. I voted $ 2.50 though. I love consistently getting over 30 mpg on the highway. Grant you, the most awesome engine I've ever owned was my first car which had an Olds Rocket 350 V-8...the most enthralling sound I've ever heard from any engine. I used to put the right window down when going over a bridge just to hear the velvety rhythmic purr echo back to me. I love my 3800 V6 but it doesn't sound like THAT. Times have changed. Any more, I wouldn't pop for anything over a V-6. -
OK, guy, you PM Moltar and ask him this. Denver is where he hangs his hat. I like Denver. It's a nice town. It's a blend of West and Midwest. A lot of Midwesterns like it because it's a change of venue without going "over the hill" (the Continental Divide). I'm a warm weather critter, so it's not for me and I like skiing less and less with each passing year...God, I hate it when you fall...it's so 'effin cold. Oh, yes, and lately I've been on a neurotic thing about mountain lion encounters ever since that 70 year old / 65 year old couple got attacked in North Coastal California. Everybody at work gave me $h! for weeks about my concerns. Within 30 miles of me is serious mountain lion habitat and I've hiked many times by myself. Don't do it. Many of the western suburbs of Denver (like Boulder) thin out into the Front Range of the Rockies where humankind and this cunning ruthless beast have had scrapes. Hike in a group. Have fun, too.

I'm laughing at this. I get along with: Straight women (except materialistic or superficial ones) Straight men (except ultra-Machiavellian ones) Bi's (based on who I thought was or knew of) Gay men (for the most part) Lesbians (if feminine and they like men) I don't get along with: Lesbians (if masculine and dislike men) - but everyone on C&G knows this. A few here have taken potshots at me that I'm misogynistic. (Gee, who might that be? :AH-HA_wink: ) Look at the list above. The common denominator is that I only like women who are NOT a liability to a man (on one end of the spectrum, the trophy bitch who doesn't feel a need to develop herself because she can rest on her laurels and may be entitled to "vaginamony" as Tom Leykus would say and, on the other hand, the nasty butch lesbian who, for whatever reason, hates men and is out to make your life miserable). I hate both of these extremes. Yeah, you may proclaim "HOTT" to the former, but when it puts a nice big dent in your wallet and complicates your life, how "HOTT" is that? Two Fridays ago was my last day at work. A couple of chicks at work hugged me, wouldn't let go and started crying. They really liked working for me and liked my jokes and impersonations. Duh, they were straight and really down-to-earth. Back to the list, most of the people I know who lean toward, or that I perceive as, being "bi" based on comments and such seem to be very cool. Sexuality is not a "front burner" item for them. Sexuality shouldn't be a "front burner" item for anybody! Damn, who woke this thread up? It originated in 2005, before Variable Valve Timing made it into the 2006 Chevy V6s?

I am somewhat happy. The grille looks to be other than an oval. It also looks like it leans back in, at least at the top. I was hoping they would ditch the teary-looking headlights (making them look more like those of Lucerne), but what they've done is better than nothing. The headlights had to go, too. Is the 3800 remaining as the base engine? I would imagine.

I don't know, but they best be using one.

I never have trouble getting a rental Grand Prix. I have to canvas the lot to get a LaCrosse and then tell the rental counter what parking stall the car is in! Either way, both of those models are down markedly. However, Impala made a good showing. It is quite a value for the money.

Is it safe to ride on that, anyway? My response to thread: Cleveland

Ok, I did. She may be caustic and, if that whole part in the middle about adhering to Christianity is true, then she certainly doesn't exemplify it through her venom. In terms of ability, her credentials are faultless: Cornell undergrad, then Michigan Law and plus, she was on "law review." That means she was at the top of her class in a top 5 law school. Good Gawd. I guess a Connecticut upbringing didn't hurt, either. Oh, in terms of how female she is, she probably is true-to-form. She was a "Delta Gamma" and DG supposedly stands for dick grabber...unless it was a vibrator or a dildo. Chuckle, chuckle. I'll have to listen to her live sometime to get the full effect of the delivery now that I know more about her. I am sure I won't like her, but it will be interesting.

No. Look at the picture gallery. Except for when I'm off to work, THAT is how I drive my Regal (God, you like my car an awful lot as you comment on it often)( :AH-HA_wink: )My response to thread: eclipse

OK, I'm gonna show my selective pop culture ignorance...head buried in books too much lately. Who exactly is Ann Coulter and where did she come from? I mean, background or credentials that would give her some serious credibility? Seriously. I mean, I know Stern, Limbaugh, Tom Leykus, Savage, Allred, Nancy Grace and a few others, but who is this chick? She is definitely hard on the eyes and seems to have a barbed tongue.

I tend to agree, Pantho. Absolutely. The gains are minor incremental strides. The repairs and diagnostics will make things way more expensive. My 1992 Buick is approaching 234,000 miles. It has basic sequential fuel injection and the OBD-I engine management system. In almost 15 years, I have replaced 2 O2 sensors and 1 MAF sensor. I currently have the SES light on and Kragen read a code which isn't even a sensor...plug wires or a faulty coil. Inside, beyond PS and PB, I have no other power accessories but I spent on nicer accessories (console, gauges, alloys) that aren't that complicated in nature. Why do you think I'm holding off on the new car when mine runs ok and is still so comfortable and quiet? And why do you even think all the cars I am considering are, relative to what's on the market, not that complicated? I will buy one more new car that is familiar. I think that, by the time beyond that at which I buy again, the technology and types of vehicles out there will be VERY different and more efficient.

I am with you on this. Except for getting people in and out of the back seat, which is typical of all coupes, this car was easy to live with, comfortable and had become quite reliable (according to CR and other sources).I think that there are some styling quirks that a nip and tuck should and could have fixed. So, now it's gone. Too bad, because I think that GM could have accommodated 2 personal luxury coupes in their line-up: one at the Riviera price-point and the other at the Monte Carlo price-point. What happened? In the late 80s, the GM line-up had numerous mid-size and up coupes in their line-up. Now, there are NONE and most of them were reasonably attractive in terms of styling.
