  2. Auguri per una rapida guarigione, P -- I just flew back up from "La Sicilia" into Firenze this morning. As for the legs, as B refers to, I am fairly dark now and all my body hair has turned dark blonde from sitting on a beach in Sicily for 6 days at temperatures that were at about 100 degrees daily. So, yes, he will be the sexier one.

  4. I just saw this...I am having trouble reconciling how one can be a multi-lingual redneck. I could just hear Bubba down in Tex-ass telling you "You speaking that Eye-talian again, boy?" I have gotten flack from college educated people (mostly in the uptight NW) for speaking foreign languages in the office to friends or even while making reservations with Iberia or TAP on the phone.Pontiac is not a redneck brand at all. It's just a kick-ass niche brand for the General. I think the rear lights on this new car are 'effin terrible. They say "Mitsubishi 3000" in a big way. Do something original. I can design better cars than most of these f@#ks and I don't even have the specialized training!

  7. She does not feel up for the trip.Plus, if you knew how screwed up and catty the relatives were in 2000 (you know, Americans must have money) when she was last there, she has chosen never to make the trip again and I don't blame her. I head for Sicily tomorrow AM and will not be seeing any of my relatives down there.

  10. A lot do, at least later...there are quite a few "notch on my lipstick case" ones out there. I've only known one that took it as problematic, having run into her later when she was married and had a little boy. We really didn't have much in common and she actually criticized my more intellectual pursuits (A student vs. C+ student at the same college) which angered me to no end. She was exactly 1 week older than me which defies the general astrological convention that we Sagittarians are among the most CASUAL when it comes to sex (a snippet of the profile - "the alley cat of the Zodiac" - I have latched onto - LOL).
  11. That's too weird. Her: Tex-Ass to Cape May and You: Tex-Ass to "cancello land" nearby ( :AH-HA_wink: ) A few preguntas: How did she look then? How does she look NOW? And, does her husband know you were hosing his wife?
  12. WOW! Cool, 4A. Life just keeps moving, doesn't it? I lost touch with my best childhood friend for about 4 years who was living in Sacramento and he now has a 1-1/2 year old from having remarried. Please don't put down aaaalbert or aaaalaaaan or aaaadaaaam on his birth certificate, ok?

  19. Hey guys: I made it! I am here. Just woke up from sleeping for about 6 hours at my cousins' house. It is hot and humid. It was a free ticket, so I had to put up with the routing. It took 37 hours of flying and FIVE segments to find available seats. The routing: 1 - Delta - Portland to Salt Lake City (Delta hub) 2 - Delta - Salt Lake City to Atlanta (Delta hub) - "red eye" 3 - Delta - Atlanta to Montreal 4 - Air France - Montreal to Paris - "red eye," they all are 5 - Air France - Paris to Florence Kid in the candy store experience: Upon arrival at the Air France check in at Montreal, I asked if my "favorite" seat on the 747 was available. It was not. I spoke French to the guy who was very helpful. He said, though, that he could get me a better seat since the plane was far from full and he saw the ridiculous number of preceding flights, noting that I must be tired. He put me on the second floor of the plane and at a window! What an orgasmic experience...unbelievable! You are so high off the ground and look down and back at the engines. It was also much quieter since you are farther from the engines. The rotation is interesting as you are among the first segments of the plane to lift. There was plenty of legroom and footrests. This was the first transoceanic flight on which I was able to sleep. In general, if you speak French to the French, the level of service and friendliness kicks up in a noticeable way. Air France has always treated me well. My travel plans: Florence - Sicily - Northern Portugal - Madeira - Canary Islands - Valencia - Sardinia - Munich and Bavaria - Venice and Northern Italy - Florence. People watching here is a total trip judging from the Paris airport -- an unbelievable melange of people from everywhere. I will check in from time to time and, if I find a web hosting service for photos upon return, I will post some.

  21. 92 mph in a 1976 Olds Cutlass Supreme 350 V-8 about halfway between Bakersfield CA and Tehachapi CA for a very short while, since my parents were in it. Also, don't like that sensation. It's just not safe. Yes, there is a Tehachapi.
  22. Hey, P-C-S, my Dad had one of those, the following year though, 1970. It had the Chevy inline 250 6 cyl with so much room in the engine compartment that one could have a picnic in there. It was a metallic aqua color with black vinyl seats and it was known as the dog's car because she could ride it and not in our newer cars with cloth. Someone had told my Dad Pontiac's were crap and he bought into it. We had it for at least 15 years, as a second or third car. Then he had impeccable service from that car and changed his mind. It will be a long time until your burial, I hope. LOL.
