  1. Hey, 2005EquinoxLS, Happy Birthday! 3.25 hours to go (PST). Or I should say "Happy Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrthday" (Wisconsin)
  2. O. J. Simpson
  3. I'll agree with this. Silver has worked well for the chromier exteriors of my LaCrosse and Regal. For some reason, they don't work well on the Grand Prix and Monte Carlo. Those need to be white. My general opinion is that a lighter metallic color (silver, light blue, and rarely seafoam green) are the most flattering for a car's apperance.

  6. What's the least popular? I would imagine some shades of green.

  8. I'm sure there are other things you can stroke besides the keys on your keyboard.
  9. I'm laughing right now. I know they stay on top of it, but I've also been stranded on both sides of Donner Pass without chains, having crossed to the other side on a Friday night before the weekend only to have an unexpected storm dump snow like crazy on Sunday. The solution is horrendous. You have to go around the long way up through the Feather River Canyon (CA 70) because it "only" reaches an elevation of 5,000 instead of 7,200.

  13. You come from a beautiful city and I've been there...and to Edmonton...while visiting Banff in winter...I used one of my free Air Canada tickets. What I recall is that I had trouble walking down the icy sidewalk on whatever street that is that has your LRT line going east-west through your downtown. I remember driving my RWD Cutlass Supreme during the winter in the Midwest while in grad school. Generally, the snow was pretty trampled on and I did ok, but there were a couple of "close calls" as I was adjusting to it, coming from a land of palm trees. It convinced me I'm not cut out to live in a cold weather climate.

Wow, GMPG, those are good prices and typical in the interior where there's an abundance of undeveloped land. I'm always cautious recommending that people from the coasts go inland because they tend to have a hard time adjusting. I went to grad school in the Midwest and had a tough time...not with school but with the general surroundings. I did ok with Atlanta because it was this mega-city, complete with a subway, reasonably good weather most of the year and also affordable, but not like what you have...add another $100,000 there for a decent home. Plus, in 4 hours, I could be at the beach in Florida. Add $250,000 to that for a decent home in North Central CA and add at least $ 650,000 for a decent home in North Coastal CA. That's right to Part 2. We all figure this out eventually - the "to hell with everyone else" part, but it takes a while.
  16. No, you're actually an a$$ who, for being so bright, sells himself short
  17. Didn't see it but know the Mormons were pissed. And I'd appreciate it if you didn't call me Bobbi. Most of the time, you have a one-track mind and that's all that seems to define you.
  18. Mormon missionaries?

  20. How about "NO TREE?" Bah, hambug!

Yes, I see, Italian generally is a mainstay up there and only because of it's annoying "trendiness" is it showing up some in LA, SF and I've even heard the smaller cities of the Central Valley of CA. Right, Spanish opens doors everywhere. Having a boss that doesn't like you is a tough situation. There's not much one can do. Still, I would hope there is an appeals type board. I would check battery before alternator. I once thought alternator when the battery was on its last legs and an honest shop told me the "battery is fried." So it cost less than $ 100. If not battery, then probably alternator.
  23. Sorry to hear that. I don't know you, but my read is that you're conscientious and a good employee. There are so many weird people in the field and both you and reg know how much I can't stand those types, that you probably are valued more highly than them. Also, keep in mind that, in the earlier years, as you know, they don't pay interns high dollars so, if you crank out the work, you are still valuable. However, you know the "lay of the land" well and know if they were getting rid of more expensive people and/or people whose productivity was questionable. Also, you probably have a feel for how the general geographic area is doing and what's going on with other firms. Weigh all this stuff. My sense is that the economy will turn by the end of the third quarter. There's going to be a lot fo pent-up demand for everything IMO. That's not that far away and it might get a little worse before it gets better. I hope I'm right.
  24. Uh, you're so modest. Nice picture!
  25. That's right, Pearl Harbor Day! * Have a great birthday! *I have a friend with a Dec. 7 birthday that I tease as well. I also knew a girl with a Dec. 8 birthday, the Catholic feast day for the Immaculate Conception, and she was a slut that I ragged on.
