  6. Again, thanks for "i" ending to my name. Grow up a little. Also, save a little....just think where you'd be if you didn't trade in cars like people change underwear.
  7. DN90, I've been meaning to ask you for some time after seeing it in your sig, how are you liking your Intrigue? The 1998 is my favorite year and that year was 3800 Series II all model year long.
  8. Regal: 251,000/1992 = 126 years old LaCrosse: 3,500/2008 = 1.75 years old Funny thread!

  10. * falling off chair* Hey, I'd like to think that I matter. My first car was an opera-windowed GM intermediate hand-me down coupe AND I had Greg Brady hair until about 10 years ago, just because after 5 or 6 weeks, I had Greg Brady hair and there was nothing I could do about it ...AND I hadn't discovered Great Clips coupons.
  11. Hey usonia, I first started looking at this thread and thought "oh, no, here we go again." Then I got to reading your post a couple of times and think that this is the most insightful post you've ever made. I bolded up certain parts because they apply to everybody, regardless of gender, sexual preference, age or any other demographic factor. For me, the lack of reciprocity in attraction has had me in an "I don't need anybody" holding pattern for quite a while. I had a very rude awakening a couple of years after my last high school reunion that has really numbed me up. Lately, I've been the one doing the rejecting. I don't think it's to "even up the score" but I'm genuinely not interested in who is "left over" and a friend of mine in Portland says I'm "holding court." That's a little harsh and not necessarily true. That concept of the process of elimination you describe and which is, again, applicable to every single demographic strata in life is what I call "the funnel." You start out with a lot of candidates at the top part of the funnel and the bottom narrows drastically. Everyone has to be "their own best friend" -- from there, it's all downhill.

  13. Sorry, I don't remember those. What I think is, and will always be cool, is Donna Summer and the 1973-1977 GM mid-sized coupes with opera windows. What I don't think is cool is "Greg Brady hair."

  17. deodorant (Europeans who ride Metros seem to need it)
  18. Thanks. Seems pretty thorough to me.

  20. After some process of elimination, I am almost certain that my Regal, a 1992 W-body, needs at least one motor mount. (I think I asked a similar question before, but now I'm more convinced). If I'm going to do this, I want the engine/trans mounting system to have new mounts all around. Is this an easy thing to do via a visual inspection/are they "easy" to see? (I've tried looking for diagrams or pix on the Web and can't find them readily). How many are there? What does this service cost, parts and labor? Thanks.
  21. Well, yeah, having an uninterrupted cowl, instead of these pods and clusters we have today*, gives a sense of more spaciousness. Not only that, everything was in a logical place and the seating positions / amount of glass are just right for comfortable motoring. *not that they aren't visually interesting

  23. Does that mean I have to stop stereotyping? :AH-HA_wink:
  24. I have it on my list of things to do - pick up a calendar at the dealership at my next LOF appointment for the LaX. Through last year, some type of free calendar has always been available at the cashier's counter at the GM dealership, though it's not the one you want. I'm content to get American scenery, as I need the calendar itself!
