  1. I suppose. Maybe part of the reason I don't like it is because I have to look at my turd neighbor's bright red piece of $h! '93 every day that he keeps driving regardless of the fact that the suspension's f@#ked and it's developed like a bearing knock or something; the car sounds AWFUL and he's beating it to death. It's just that nose is so ugly, man. Remember Jahan, the guy I used to work with that moved to North Carolina? He had a '96 and that car didn't bother me at all because it looked normal; the restyle on the nose looked nice and it seemed fairly comfortable when I drove it. I used to get a kick out of seeing him dragging his boat around with it! I guess another reason it seems like a bad idea too is because look at what we've gotten for around $2000; would you take one of those, or a mid-90's Skylark? Tell me I'm wrong!
  2. Ah yes, the latest issue of Donk, Box & Bubble; I know it well. I'm a manager at my local AutoZone and received it in our magazine shipment a few weeks ago. Proof positive that hood rats and white people that wish they were hood rats should be issued lifetime bus passes.
  3. Nope. AC-Delco filter numbers begin with PF; Fram oil filter numbers begin with PH.
  4. Both Fly and BV have good arguments at this point.....
  5. So do you like any exciting GM cars, or just their bland, front wheel drive mid-90's offerings? I'm gonna go with what 04monteintimidator said and remind you that there hasn't been a really good Skylark made since 1972.
  6. Ugliest car ever?! Obviously you've all blocked the 1958 Aurora safety car from memory. It's okay; I try to, too.
  7. Zimmer! BONUS: The lyrics to Art Zimmer's Golden Spirit! ART ZIMMER'S GOLDEN SPIRIT When there's a glimmer in his eye, His GOLDEN SPIRIT is nearby, And you will hear the people cry: "It's a ZIMMER! ...by Zimmer!" For it's Zimmer, the man, who makes ZIMMER, the car; A work of art (by Art) that stands so smart! Yes, it's Zimmer, the man, who makes ZIMMER, the car; A work of art (by Art) that stands apart! So follow the excitement, when you hear it! And before you know it, you'll be near it, Then you can feast your eyes On the sweet, shining prize That's Art Zimmer's GOLDEN SPIRIT!

    I'm Weird

Fun fact: The Oldsmobile Toronado Trofeo in that book belonged to my friend Jen's boyfriend Corey. He just recently sold it and bought an '03 Chrysler 300M. The picture was taken in front of his mother's house here in Lowell, ASSachusetts. Vipes: get a '94-'96 Buick Roadsmasher or Cadillac Fleetwood and have muscle in a very handsome and stately package; stay away from a Jag like the plague. I know they look cool, but I assume you'd like to be able to have the option of driving on rainy days too. The saying "Lord Lucas, Prince of Darkness" doesn't exist for nothing, y'know.
  9. Hmmmm..... last significant purchase of an American-made product, eh? I think my 1967 Cadillac Eldorado fits the bill nicely!
  10. '73 Impala two-door and a '96 Cutlass Ciera with mismatched taillights
  11. Payment sent, but PM sent also, Fly...
  12. Maybe for the other guy.....
  13. Marmon ..... the OTHER V-16
  14. Isotta-Fraschini .....back when the Italians still knew what they were doing!
  15. Duesenberg
  16. Underslung, American..... as in American Underslung Gentleman's Roadster; the car I buy with that winning lottery ticket after a certain 1915 Crane-Simplex roadster is already in my possession What a handsome machine
  17. Show us the goddamn calendar already before we have to start harassing you and calling you Axl Rose! But seriously, is it done yet?
  18. I used to see my '79 Coupe DeVille in the area every now and then; every time driven by the girlfriend of the kid that bought it. She remembered me, though; we'd beep horns and wave at each other as we passed. I've always wondered where "Big Red" is now and still sorta wish I hadn't sold it.....
  19. Yeah, I think razoredge summed it up nicely. Just go out and buy Appetite for Destruction and be merry.

    Hi Everyone

    Hi there!
  21. :rotflmao: :rotflmao: :rotflmao: :rotflmao: :rotflmao: I don't care who you are, that's funny right there! Hah! traction!
  22. Gotcha. Makes sense. At least a piece of my big orange 1915 Brewster-bodied Crane-Simplex roadster made it!
  23. Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaand the "best album ever" that Axl Rose has been putting together FOREVER in seclusion is delayed yet again. Big effing deal. It's been on the internet in bootleg form for like a year now, anyways.
  24. Why don't you just rent the thing for him one day as a surprise? That way you can see the smile on his face when he gets to drive it for the day and take a picture of it with him in it and get THAT framed.
  25. Just outta curiosity, was the 1971 Cadillac square made from a picture of my old Coupe DeVille? Reason I ask is I noticed they were the same color! The 1970 Cadillac square also resembles Brad's '70 Coupe DeVille that lived with you during your final days at the Tyngsboro house.
