  1. Your comparing a $40k+ niche model to a volume model Tundra. As of now Toyota Tundra's powertrain is superior to the GMT-900's. Pricing still hasn't been announced. and considering the 13/19mpg the Yukon Denali gets I highly doubt many will be lining up for the 6.2L gas-guzzler.
  2. http://www.cheersandgears.com/forums/index...;hl=motor funny you'd say that. considering the new Tundra features a 5.7L V8 with more hp/torque than its competitors along with a 6spd auto, 10000lbs+ towing, 13.9in 4piston front/13.6in 2piston rear brakes, it trumps the GMT-800's in major aspects.
  3. since when was the 6.2L V8 offered in the GMC Denali?
  4. yeah but Toyota's 5.7L can't put the torque down low like the Vortec Max
  5. yup, that's all it's about. IIHS lobby.
  6. http://www.egmcartech.com/2006/12/13/repor...-jetta-in-2009/ so VW says their hybrid will get better mileage than the TDI. apparently engineers know more than internet clowns.
  7. you going to compare a V6 hybrid to a 4cyl hybrid no it doesn't, and that's not a valid excuse for the Cobalt's lousy fuel economy. 2.2L or 2.4L Cobalt 25/34 24/32 2.4L 158hp Camry 24/34 24/33 1.8L 126hp Corolla 32/41 30/38 Chevrolet Malibu 2.2L 144hp 24/34 Toyota Camry 2.4L 158hp 24/34 24/33 too bad it's missing 51hp on a V6 Camry. 3.9L 240hp Malibu 18/26mpg 3.5L V6 Camry 22/31 Again you insist on comparing a significantly more powerful Avalon to the Impala. Impala 3.5L 21/31 3.9L 20/29 Avalon 22/31 More like trumps it. GS350 21/29 CTS 3.6L 18/27 LS460 (380hp) 19/27 STS (320hp) 17/27 DTS 17/25 (275hp) or 17/24 (292hp) Sienna 20/27 18/23 (awd) Uplander 18/25 what GM awd minivans??? so what about vehicles you left out like. it's a luxury performance car. Driver comfort is still a high priority. The few people who want a manual in such a vehicle will shop elsewhere. That's my opinion, in one month we'll know what it'll offer. I'd rather see a new Supra but this one has more marketing value.

It means if someone wants a manual they'll buy a real performance car. And don't be suprised if Lexus builds a semi-auto or DSG.

performance enthusiasts buy performance cars. Porsche sells many more 997's than BMW sells Mcars. The Corvette outsells 997's by 3:1

  14. They're all N52 engines.
  15. actually the list is closer to 80% new engines and how did the "Hemi" beat Nissan's Endurance engine. Nissan rerated the Titan to SAE standards, what's Dodge's excuse for continuing to overate their engines??
  16. 50% of those motors are brand new w/zero reliablity data, what a dumb list.

  18. the CLK63 makes 475hp and 465 lb-ft . and if the CTS-V gets the LS7 (w/o detuning) it's going to be helluva expensive.
  19. Honda Accord Coupe Concept to Debut at North American International Auto Show TORRANCE, Calif. 12/05/2006 -- A bold new look for the next-generation Honda Accord Coupe will be unveiled at the January 2007 North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) in Detroit, American Honda Motor Co., Inc., announced today. The Accord Coupe Concept will convey exterior styling cues and design features that provide a first look at the direction the next-generation Accord will take and it promises to set a new benchmark for Accord and for the segment. The Accord is Honda's best selling model in North America, and this vehicle's debut at NAIAS will mark the first time an Accord concept car has ever been shown at a major auto show. Car and Driver magazine recently named the current-generation 2007 Honda Accord as one of the winners of its prestigious and highly competitive annual "10Best Cars" award. The Accord has achieved "10Best" status 21 times in the 25 years that Car and Driver editors have been conducting the competition, more than any other vehicle in the award's history.
  20. The Jag C&D tested was the XJR and it starts for $81,500. I really doubt the Jag holds a measly 38% of its value in 3yrs, maybe five years and I doubt it is even that low.
  21. If Toyota fleet sales are up profit margins would be down, the opposite is the case.
  22. It's of little relevance, Toyota's profit margins last quarter were over 9%. That's higher than Mercedes.
  23. Impressive, Camry outsold the Accord by over 10k units this month. The Corolla is outselling the Accord as well.
