  1. The wheelbase is longer
  2. There is a good reason why the Ridgeline is failing in the marketplace. If it wasn't so overpriced and ugly, it might have faired better.
  3. toyota is reporting the Japanese rated mpg, not EPA rating. This is a Japanese pressrelease.
  4. psshh fuel economy is worse than basically any 6cyl in its class. new Passat is overpriced engine probably self-destructs before 50k mi.
  5. You know the LS430 5spd got the same mpg as the 6spd. Beyond the interior and prestige the ES330 is basically outclassed by the Avalon. Personally the onstar and warranty are no huge issue to me. neither of our Toyota cars have left anyone stranded, or had issues that a 4yr warranty would have taken care of, also taking into account our other 3 Hondas it wouldn't seem of any use. Peace of mind is nice I suppose.
  6. Toyota doesn't sell anything beside the Camry? If and this is a big if, Toyota is used in the next Bond film, I'm certain they'd use the LS600h or at least LS460/GS450h.
  7. Never said anything about the Lucerne being quieter, I said the ES330 won't be on dealer lots by this time next yr. And I never mentioned anything about the Avalon outselling the LeSabre either.
  8. I'm not shunning anything, simply making a point. Nobody is going to cross shop a Lucerne/Avalon w/the LS430. Both are widely outclassed People will be cross shopping the Avalon w/the Lucerne, and the Avalon handily beats the Lucerne in fuel economy.
  9. Fuel econonmy. For less than the price of a base ES330, you can have a well equipped 06 Avalon w/better performance, NHV, and fuel economy Who cares about the ES330, its dead in less than a yr. You forgot the V8 Lucerne gets 17/25 mpg compared to the Avalon/ES350's 22/31 Even the Tacoma gets better city mpg
  10. http://www.toyotanation.com/forum/showthread.php?t=98177 "Look, it's a Saturn Crapbolt (ahem Cobalt)" http://www.toyotanation.com/forum/showthread.php?t=98253 "**k Ford!, Screw GM! Honda and Toyota are always a step ahead, no matter how much these GM humpers try to prove that GM is better!" http://www.toyotanation.com/forum/showthre...?t=50171&page=2 "Say this exact quote on www.cheersandgears.com forums, and they'll ban you within seconds, GM fanatics!" it would fun to watch the drama unfold, but I got things to take care of :( that said baddabing was banned for less
  11. well then a more intense scan does reveal he is a definite GM hater
  12. http://www.toyotanation.com/forum/showthread.php?t=99284 "some goofballs"
  13. Oddly a quick scan through his 19 previous posts on toyotanation didnt reveal anything like that. http://www.toyotanation.com/forum/search.php?searchid=16148
  14. I worked in Manhattan for a few months, nobody drives Vettes, never saw a Viper. You'll see at least 5 996TT's (probably closer to 10) for every Vette. Why anyone would try a Vette or Viper in NYC would be beyond me, at least Porsche Carrera's have awd and acceleration is non-issue. You'll see 10 7ers and Sclasses at every intersection in Manhattan though. Anyways if she were a performance enthusiast she'd have bought a Porsche or M6, she obviously isnt. Corvette owners are usually branded redneck, I don't think Viper owners are.
  15. now in vert form
  16. it's a blatant rip of the Avalon's interior, along w/the previous Camry's front, and Accord's rear before the reskin
  17. there's a video Lexus made http://lexus.jp/ms/ to those who don't know the new LS will gets an all new engine, tranny, platform, and updated VDIM. the 2IS got Lexus' 5th gen Navi, latest generation of ML audio, and the dual port direct injection 3.5L. I don't the 3GS got anything new beside VDIM. Come to think of it the 3GS is Lexus' weakest vehicle.
  18. So has Edmunds moved from promoting VW's to Hyundai's now
  19. Yup, you'll get 45mpg in a TSX First you need better mpg than the IS250 w/that fwd "sports sedan." Weight saving in a cargo net, seriously you sound like a typical Honda loving ricer. Well I'm done humoring myself
  20. Not a reliability concern whatsoever.
  21. The Prius' software and tC's sunroof deflector are not quality issues rather stem from faulty engineering The Japanese recall is quality related, but isn't related to America
  22. [quote name='siegen' date='Oct 20 2005, 03:38 PM'] What's going on with these tail lights? I mean, original yes, good no. Do they really stick out 2 inches? same reason enzo's stick out 2in
  23. or this one
