  1. Personally I hope gas gets past $4/gallon by next summer. Two weeks ago some lady was filling up her brand new DTS next to me she looks over and tells me gas prices were ridiculous. I was like why buy a 4000lb V8 car then? I'm sure it's 4100lbs w/a sunroof.
  2. I'm not bashing anything, it's dumb martketing. It's hard to come up w/a plant that meets LEED when none have been recently built. But I'll come up w/one when Toyota's SA plant starts building the new Tundra.
  3. well just last night some idiot in a GMC decides to cut me off as two lanes merge. I let it slide I nearly got into a fight w/some urban wannabe hick in a Silverado. He cut me off for no reason. He also thought his V8 truck was faster than my car. It wasn't, I proved it to him a couple times. I would have kicked his ass too if he wanted. Dip$h! was on his cell phone yacking away. Some clown in a Gran Prix decided his car was faster than me and attempted to cut me off, his car was too slow. Someone in an older Prelude cut me off, he learned his car isn't faster than mine when I returned the favor. Some bitch in a Corolla decided not to let me in her lane (after signalling) by speeding up. I got in anyways. A Prius decided he wasn't going to let me merge at a stop light. wtf a Prius? I look over and the dude stared back saying your not getting in. I got in easily. At the same stoplight an Ion quad cpe decided I wasn't going to merge, I merged anyways. Those f@#kers are quicker than I thought. A Grand Cherokee V8 wants to cut me off on the freeway, that sure as hell didn't happen. Those are the most recent ones in memory. I just remember these for some reason. In NYC I was in a TL and some black dude in a Taurus jumps onto the otherside of a boulevard in oncoming traffic to cut us off. We got to the light flicked him off and laughed at him. Luckily there was an NYPD in front of us. Don't want to get shot, he might be mad gangsta. In Philly some Caravan dude was riding this guys ass for some reason, not sure why? People who try to ride my ass usually learn I can drive really slow, then really fast. In Washington DC some dude in a GMC Yukon comes cutting through traffic at 90mph. What a nut. Back in Houston some gansta guy, nearly side swipes me in a Cadillac. Check your blindspots people! I saw some gansta thug in a Mitsubishi Gallant, complete w/a mounted spare run a light that turned red by what must have turned 10seconds ago. --- The best show I've seen is some Spanish chic in a GS300. She comes racing down a blvd in Philly. This bitch is speeding a 100mph to lights that are red. She proceeds to race a bunch of guys in trucks for the next couple lights. One of the guys gets out and starts yelling at her. He tells her drunk ass to switch seats w/some white passenger male friend. The whole convey of trucks were actually police officers. I wish they arrested her, but arresting minorities is probably illegal in liberal states.
  4. BMW drivers are horrible, they're like Camaro drivers except w/money.
  5. I heard he moved to Tibet. Toyota is doing poorly. $3.23 billion quarterly net income +39% (that's US monies) Revenue up 14% Over 25yrs of profit and counting Toyota even outsold Ford this July :gasp: total Toyota (w/CamCords) 214,867 total Ford #1 199,735 total Toyota (w/Lexus) 241,826 we (Ford) are the champions my friend total Ford (w/Mercury, Lincoln, Jag/Volvo/LR) 241,339 Toyota stock is in a downward spiral $108. keep waiting patiently. :AH-HA_wink: I know I'm waiting to taste sweet victory! It will be soon drink my enemies blood!
  6. It's American, Canadians have a similiar process it seems. http://www.usgbc.org/DisplayPage.aspx?CategoryID=19 I'm sure it's a difficult standard to attain, and good for GM. But it's funny GM's pressrelease points out worldwide, which implies overseas plants can be rated as well. Sneaky marketing I suppose. http://search.atomz.com/search/?sp-q=LEED&...s=1&sp-t=search http://pressroom.toyota.com/search?s=0&criteria=LEED
  7. How about the US doesn't have the authority to rank overseas plants. Thus the the claim to having the only certificate in the world is idiotic. Does that make logical sense, or is this beyond your thinking capacity?
  8. 3.6L Passat starts at a freakin $30k
  9. If the stock keeps increasing it's possible Renault-Nissan can't come up w/the cash to take a 20% stake.
  10. you realize the LS7 is also "hand-built." power and price don't mean much, there was quite a commotion about some twin turbo Heffner Ford GT, ran 10.X@145mph through the 1/4mi. Pics passed around nearly every automotive forum on the net. owner traded it in for a Lambo Gallardo w/in 3weeks of delivery.
  11. Mercedes makes 507hp w/6.3L
  12. it's idiotic they are comparing performance times of a naturally aspired vs turbo motor. 335i vs 330d and the diesel gets smoked. f@#k diesels, if NA motors have such tight emmisions which KILL their hp and fuel economy diesels deserve to play by the same rules. When I can buy a NA motor w/$h!ty emmisions let me make the decision. I'll glady take the extra power, throttle response, less weight, and additional fuel economy. I love how the clowns at C/D repeatedly bring up weight and weight distrubtion when kissing BMW's ass but left it out in this comparision.
  13. There is zero objective data in your reviews. The majority of them comprise of your disapproval for styling and materials. And I have no reason to write a review, if I was looking to buy a car I'd do it based on test drives not on whether an auto journalist likes how a car looks. I'd hope most people do the same, hence why there really little need for an auto journalist. i have no qualms w/you sharing opinions, but it is another thing to simply annoy people simply for greater views
  14. Sugar Land really sucks now, I was born and raised there
  15. http://www.thetruthaboutcars.com/?p=1413 I could write an identical review w/o even driving the car, thanks for pointing out nothing. As usual automotive reviews are essentially worthless.
  16. I doubt you're capable of liking any vehicle under $40k.
  17. At the moment the overall market is extremely volatile. And not many are willing to pay $80+ for an automotive stock. Right now it's almost $100.
  18. soon enough
  19. really cause CR, and JD Power say otherwise. Lexus and Toyota Together Capture 11 of 19 Initial Quality Model Awards http://www.jdpower.com/corporate/news/rele....asp?ID=2006082 Consumer Reports: Lexus #1, Toyota #3 http://money.cnn.com/2006/03/01/Autos/carr...ility/index.htm Toyota protecting itself from trial lawyers has little to do w/reliability
  20. GE makes tons of random things http://www.ge.com/stories/en/20438.html?ca...roduct_Business Toyota essentially invented JIT or Just-in-Time, now implemented by virtually any manufacturing company. Yes, pre-fab housing has plenty to do w/a company known for its mass production prowness.
  21. GE is pretty diverse too, look how unsucessful they are.
  22. Chysler 300 a marginal rating w/side airbags? avg overall structure rating? http://www.iihs.org/ratings/rating.aspx?id=661 journalist needs to do some research before compiling his list
  23. it's required w/the airbag switch. Toyota error. Any business will strive to minimize costs. Toyota has no reason to issue a recall in order to install the LATCH system, it's a complete waste of money. This is basically nothing beside NHTSA red tape.
  24. yup, none. the Buick Lacrosse is the ultimate
