  1. Let us completely ignore Mercedes and VW though when it comes to bringing up Nazi ties. Need we remind this "journalist" that Volkswagen was an idea of Hitler and Mercedes gladly made vehicles for Germany during the war? No! Don't bring them up! They couldn't help it. GM is EVIL!!!!! This is all after the fact. A lot of American companies were in Germany before and during WWII. Maybe the journalist also forgot that the true attrocities of the Nazi party (i.e. the holocaust) weren't revealed worldwide until near the end of the war when Allied forces marched into Europe. BS article. Another GM hate piece. Poor journalism at its best.
  2. Looks like an IS with an aftermarket body kit. Very un-impressive visually and doesn't appear to offer a manual transmission. I'm sure the horsepower is fine for a car that size but I don't really see this appealing to people other then current IS buyers looking for a power boost and Scion drivers who got their first high paying job after college. I guess this is the first sports car for non-enthusiast people.
  3. These photos are great. Really shows how high quality the interior really is.
  4. Looks better then the current model but it's still kind-of boring. I'm sure it will sell well though. At least Honda seems to be devoted to building cars that do more then take you from point A to point B.
  5. Just a bit of warning for those thinking about reading the edmunds article.... don't. They make the car sound like it's just going to be another non-descript entry-level luxury car. At least, that's what I got from that article. Leave it to edmunds to downplay anything spectacular to come out of detroit.
  6. Ladies and Gentlemen, the crown jewel of General Motors: The 2008 Cadillac CTS Basic stats and more photos! More stats and even more photos!!!
  7. Looks like partial ownership of Toyota isn't helping improve design anymore then what it was under GM. These cars are getting more outdated by the year.
  8. You don't know that for a fact just based off these photos. It may not look class leading, but it the jury is still out on quality of materials used. This new interior is a much better effort on Infiniti's part and looks to be on par with the Escalade. Unfortunately, the front clip of the car is still ugly. I guess that will be the next thing to get worked on. Once they move production to Japan, I'm sure it will be much easier for them to give it more tweaks and differentiate it from the Armada.
  9. They ruined a perfectly good looking car! WHY!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!??!?!?!
  10. It will probably be more in line with the style of the Sebring. That doesn't bode well for the vehicle's future.
  11. I retract my statement made in the Focus thread. This car doesn't look very good. The head-on shot was deceiving. The new headlights actually make it look more outdated. And a tape deck? Whah?!?! Seems like Ford wants to relive the 80s... the last time they had a car that really had an impact on the market.
  12. It's not really supposed to be a stunner in terms of design. The fuel economy is important and that's what you should really pay attention to. This type of car has the potential to change the industry.
  13. Not so easy to do that. He'll have to get a perscription for Sudafedrine now.
  14. Not only do I love the fact that it seems so easy to build, it's meant for world consumption... which really means: It's not going to a piece of crap compact car like we're used to from GMNA. It will actually be nice.
  15. Now is the time for GM to produce this baby. At least they have many options for alternative fuels for this car. Depending on where the industry is headed, GM can easily adapt it. Very smart. Now build it.
  16. I realize that. The CTS is more along the lines of a 5-series and the new one will address the quality issues and chintzy interior from what we've seen and heard about it. The next BLS will probably be much more of a competitor in the entry level luxury segment as well so I was just saying that GM better hurry up and make it happen.
  17. Don't forget the sky redline. A 260 horsepower Turbocharged Ecotec as well as a suspension tweak.
  18. I really can't tell the difference. Europeans won't either. GM needs to hurry up with the CTS and a replacement for this vehicle stat if it wants to be serious in that market.
  19. Hey Iononic Boy: If you'd actually did the research, you'd realize that cars built in America are of much higher quality then Europe. Nice try! Have fun. Moving on. This looks good. Looks more like an Opel now then the regular VUE and Antara.
  20. It's too big to be a 9-4x. Besides, you can tell through the thin protective cover that it's the 9-7x. When I really think about it, I doubt GM would have any of it's concepts and brand new vehicles out on the floor so early. Not in an age where so many people have camera phones and auto magazines break embargoes.
  21. It looks very real and very good. It would be nice if GM released this at the same time as the coupe or at least a few months after it comes to market.
  22. It's looks kind of low to be an HHR and it appears that the roof kind of slopes toward the rear (a la Pontiac Vibe, Toyota Matrix). Though, it could just be the lighting and I guess it would be an HHR.
  23. Boring Design. Though, that's what most people expect in this segment. Slightly changing topic: What the hell Chrysler?! You're continually shooting yourself in the foot. The company can't make up it's mind on a design theme. I'll give DCX credit though. At least they didn't chicken out like GM and Ford did and leave the market altogether. Still, they could've done a much better job at this.
  24. What's this car under wraps? Classic car? Current Car? Concept Car? Production vehicle we are unaware of? Whatever it is, I'm unfamiliar with it's overall shape and it appears that it has a hatchback on it.
  25. "Casino Royale" was alright. A good Bond movie but not very memorable. It's action packed but not ridiculous like the more recent Bond films and for once, the villan is not trying to take over the world. That aspect is somewhat refreshing. I've been dying to see "Borat" but I was extremely busy during the month of December and had little opportunity to see it with friends. Even though I'm currently on my winter break from College, I'm still running out of options. A lot of the theatres in my area are no longer showing that movie anymore. There is probably one or two theatres max and they're nowhere near me. Very discouraging. I've been hearing very good things about "Children of Men". It's a similar type of movie to Babel in that it's political in nature but set in the near and somewhat bleak future. If you're bringing children, try "Night at the Museum" It's a kiddie movie but has a lot of gags that Adults may enjoy.
