Um.. you missed the last part. The rest of that post isn't all that great. Okay.. GM needs the new Malibu like Courtney Love needs a hit of heroin. Without it, there will be a disaster of epic proportions. So...Toyota, Honda, Ford, Hyundai, and pretty soon Dodge have or will have vehicles that outclass the current Malibu in every way possible. Someone tell me why GM isn't even going to put in the effort. Because I'd really like to know the reasoning behind that.

I agree. I think the new 9-5, even though it's the same vehicle.. is still a very good looking car. It looks more modern now. Hopefully, people will start to realise that GM isn't trying to get rid of Saab's unique Sweedish style with it being designed under Opel's watch. It looks like they have a clear plan with where the brand is going stylistically. The new 9-5 AWD should be spectacular.

The statement that AH-HA made combined with my pissy attitude this morning sent me off the deep end. There's just been so much negative GM news lately that it's taking a toll on me. I'm really hoping that this is just rumor but I'm really starting to worry about the future of the company now.

Finally.. more people are seeing the light! The Escalade is a HUGE improvement in all categories. Including exterior styling.

Popular mechanics shouldn't even bother. Everytime they get someone to make a rendering... they are completely off. Remember the Impala drawing? How about every other spy report. Complete BS. They don't know. They like to pretend they do.

As soon as these vehicles arrived on our shores, the cost cutting would begin. The end result of the Astra would be a tarted up Chevy Cobalt. Vectra: A slightly fancier Malibu. GM does not get it here. They're really pissing me off. I'm on my wits end with them. Kick Wagoner out the door and purge the company of all the a-holes that got it here in the first place and start making vehicles that people actually want. Solstice and Sky were a good start but even they almost didn't happen and it's not like GM is turning a huge profit on this car.

I knew this was too good to be true. Damnit GM! Get your freakin act together. Why don't you stop blaming the Japanese for your financial problems(I'm looking at you Wagoner) and actually grow a pair and make some attractive vehicles! I'm getting extremely impatient and so are the rest of your fans and buyers. Toyota is starting to look not too bad for some longtime domestic buyers right now.

Total agreement there. Anyone who hasn't bought a solstice yet, order one now...or whenever they are available (next year probably) because it looks like it will be the last new model to come out of Pontiac. Same with Buick. Here's hoping the Enclave goes to Saab. Speaking of Saab, now that the company is going to turn a profit soon, I think it's in the clear for now. So if Kerkorian starts slicing away, it won't be such a massacre. I also agree with steinravnik's statement about traditionalists. The only people that respect the brand name of Pontiac are enthusiasts like us and people in their 50's and 60's. Combined, that's not a lot of people you're going to make angry. Better if GM makes amazing cars under it's stronger brands then to keep throwing money at a brand that's had to reinvent itself more times then I can count with little to no postive results.

Nice starting point for Caddy to advertise. Good song too. I'd go with a faster pace. Maybe you should go into advertising.

Seeing how cars like the Vette and the HHR, don't have a bowtie and bar grill, I think it might be safe to say that any niche cars coming from Chevy will not carry those styling cues. Look at how the new Mustang doesn't look like any other Ford except the old Mustang. Chevy will probably do the same with the Camaro concept.

Without giving anything away. Yes.... yes they were. When it does come out, you will be pleasantly surprised. GM has a hit on it's hands. The new challenger concept is already last year's news. The Camaro(or whatever this will be called) will be king. The hit GM desperately needs. All they need to do is price this competitively and let the production version be true to the concept.... if there is one. FYI. Someone on another site claimed that these are old pictures. Like from over 2 years ago and that the concept we'll be seeing may be a little to dramatically different then what some of us has seen already.

I hope it isn't shelved. That would be so bad. Saturn would be without a compact car. The 1st time in the company's history. GM shouldn't and probably won't let that happen.

Body is too similar to the Durango. I fear that Chrysler will be running into the problem of rebadging that GM has been dealing with for decades.

It's getting an AWD variant right? I could've sworn hearing that. Though, now I doubt it will happen seeing how Subaru isn't there to guide GM along anymore. Here's hoping GM has a trick up it's sleeve.

I sat in one a few years back when the new model came out. I remember the hard, rough plastic on the dash. I didn't understand the purpose that weird knob in the center where you could turn the lights off.
