  1. Well, we know what it looks like with the wood trim from the 60 minutes interview and it looks pretty cool. Anyway... the aluminum interior color scheme is really "in" right now especially in Europe which is where Cadillac wants this to do well. No question that this CTS will blow the competition away here in sales. The new G35 interior is really hot but Infiniti is probably worried a little about competing with this.
  2. EDIT: HOLY S&%@! THAT's nice. I hate it that I won't be able to afford it. Screw all of you who doubted Lutz! You were so wrong. He's GM's savior.
  3. I have a feeling that I'll be somewhat disappointed when this comes out. When you consider the fact that it's only an exterior and interior freshening (probably the new GM radio and some more plastic wood) and a horsepower boost of a very bland vehicle that is sits on an outdated platform which suffers from poor driving dynamics. One can only hope that the Epsilon II replacement will come before 2011 considering we really are not hearing too much about it. Maybe then, under Lutz’s full guidance, the next Lacrosse will be competitive and up to par with Buick of China’s standards. Wait... did I just say that? Oh, let us end the attacks on Josh. However, Josh needs to make an effort to keep some of his opinions and complaints to himself. Show a little restraint. If you do not, you know that the members involved will only continue.
  4. It's definately the SS concept from a few years back. Still looks good.
  5. Didn't you see the thread on the new Silverado? Didn't see too many here liking it. If this was the "2007 Pontiac Grand Am", I assure you that many people, including myself, would be screaming for Pontiac to be phased out and for Bob Lutz to retire. Since it's not, we don't have to worry about anything. Bob Lutz was the best thing GM has seen in a long time. He's bringing style back one car at a time and it's working. Chrysler shouldn't have let him go but I'm glad that they did.
  6. And they should keep building factories out of the country so the UAW knows that GM is serious about staying competitive and will do anything necessary to keep costs down and bring in some much needed capital. Ford seems to have the right idea too but they were way to public about it.
  7. The only thing attractive about this vehicle is the interior. I like that it mimics many of the styling cues from Honda and other Asian makes. Whether or not the materials will be as good as required remains to be seen but it at least it has the appearance of belonging to an expensive car. The exterior is still ugly even with the new photos. It's like the Chrysler design team wanted it to be a hatchback but decided against adding the fifth door well into the design process. Then, they ran out of time and money to fix the odd roofline. The rest of the vehicle is very uneven and like some people have said, busy. That makes me surprised that the interior is so tasteful and conservative. Oh.. and the interior is much nicer then the Aura's.

Of course these are prototype units. If the new Escalade has highly detailed headlights.. this will certainly have the same.
  9. Tell that to us after you've been married for 5 years. It happens in every marriage in some form or another. Moving on. I was able to experience the G6 hardtop this weekend and I can understand why they are flying out of the dealerships. It's one sweet car. Of course, there was an issue retracting the hardtop because water must have gotten into the motor(not good). But after it dried, it worked perfectly and a lot of people were staring when I was driving it. It was a great weekend too. Temps in the 90s and bright sunshine for Saturday and Sunday. I really would like one now.
  10. Even if you do buy it, you'd still have to pay state taxes. Also.. what happens when you need to bring it into the dealership. I'm sure there are some issues with that. I would advise against it. Besides, the difference between the US and Canadian dollars isn't that big anymore.
  11. Um.. just hope she doesn't visit this site because she would be totally freaked out that you posted her picture online and would never speak to you again.
  12. Before people start calling me a thread hog, I have one last comment: I hope the next generation TB/Envoy are not on the 355 platform. I had a chance to experience the H3 for a few weeks in late December and while it's a nice vehicle, it's cramped inside compared to the Trailblazer. Not just for legs but for shoulders too. Now, it may have been cramped because Hummers tend to be a little more clunky inside compared to most SUVs but I doubt it wouldn't be much different on a different SUV on the same platform. Unless GM can figure out how to maximize interior space without stretching the platform too much, a lot of people would turn away from GM midsizers if they were Colorado based.
  13. Since you're appear to be new to the site seeing as this is your first post, I'll let your first comment slide. People here are allowed to post whatever they want (as long as it's appropriate). If you don't agree with that, fine. Just don't tell other people what to do. Unless you were being sarcastic. Then nevermind.
  14. In the June edition of Motortrend there is an article discussing the doomed future of the GMT 360s and how GM may be devoting more money to the Lambda program to cover the mid-size range and keep the BOF platforms to the pick-ups and full-size SUVs. (Yes... I understand this is Motortrend making the predictions and they're usually never right, but I tend to believe this one because of the constant delays.) Here's a chop they used of what a Chevy Lambda could potentially look like. I've got to say, the Outlook looks much more attractive with the Chevy bar across the center. Chevy should've gotten this vehicle over Saturn but since the Trailblazer already covers this territory right now, the brand doesn't need it as much as Saturn does. From Motortrend: Sorry for the bad quality... I've got a crappy scanner.
  15. The only Ford cars right now with RWD is the Mustang and ancient Crown Victoria. The Lincoln LS is gone and the GT was a niche car when it was being sold. The Crown Vic is definately pulling in big numbers and the Mustang isn't really setting the market on fire lately. Ford has made it's intentions clear. AWD is in the company's future for many of it's sedans. The only vehicles from Chrysler/Dodge are the 300c, Magnum, and Charger, Crossfire, and Viper. The last two being limited production vehicles. The 300c and the Magnum are starting to lose their popularity like most vehicles do after a few years on the market. Not because people are turning away from RWD but because the styling of each vehicle is starting to appear dated. I think some people here and in the press think RWD is popular again because people want sportier vehicles. I disagree. It's all about looks. That's the only real reason the 300C sold so well. If the Impala is gorgeous, then GM should have a hit. If not, it will just be another RWD sedan on the market that no one will really care about. For those who think GM will lose out because they will be late in the RWD sedan game just remember: By the time GM brings all the Zeta vehicles to market, the next generation RWD vehicles from Ford(even if it's just the Mustang) and Chrysler/Dodge should be entering the market so there is no real worry that they will be too late in the game. Also, last time I checked the top selling passenger cars in the country were still FWD and that's probably not going to change anytime soon. GM should be focusing heavily on FWD/AWD vehicles in order to stay competitive with it's Japanese rivals.
  16. Unfortunately, I voted for the Accord. Mostly because it will last you a long time and it has a sweet interior. Better then the other vehicles offered on the poll. I sat in one about a month ago for the first time. Really attractive. Too bad I can't say the same about the exterior. But remember, you're going to see the interior far more often then the exterior so I guess that matters more.

Hahaha! A Colorado upgrade. I knew that information was entirely false but I thought it was really Josh saying it. Too funny. Man Joshiepoo. You're good. Too good.
  18. I think you should at least wait until you see it in person before you write it off completely. Remember how many people were disappointed with the Escalade's interior? It's much nicer in person. Remember, GM's photography still sucks big time. At least wait for more photos to show up. Also.. the NAV screen should be low on all vehicles because people shouldn't be looking at it all the time when they're driving. With any vehicle with a NAV screen, there is a warning that pops up that tells the driver to drive carefully when using the navigation because it can cause them to become distracted. and.. come on. You're complaining about a clock? Cadillac isn't the only brand that is using an analog. Look at Infiniti. I don't see anyone complaining about that. Let's take our cynical glasses off for a second. Now.. I'm not a fan of the sea of black plastic but this interior is so much more attractive then the current one. If you can't appreciate that...then I don't know what to tell you.
  19. I think this is a mistake. Really, an all RWD lineup would give Pontiac an edge over other brands in it's price bracket. Though, I'm sure an all RWD lineup would hurt Pontiac's sales in the colder climates which could explain why they will only have a few RWD models.
  20. Oh my God! They totally ruined it! I hate GM. All joking aside.. this looks awesome. I'm surprised they kept the clock and the same color wood from the concept to production. The future is bright for Buick. It's too bad we had to wait this long for anything to happen. I take back all my calls for GM to get rid of the brand.
  21. I doubt an exterior update will happen until at least 2009. I'm surprised GM didn't at least change the grill to match the GMT900s like they did with some Trailblazer models. Oh.. and I don't think we are looking at wood in the picture. I think it's just colored plastic.
  22. I think it's time for the every member to click the "ignore user" button in their personal settings. It will make life much easier. I'm serious.
  23. I'm sensing that the "everlasting" love between wpbharry and Josh is no more. I feel so used. Think about the children!!!!!
  24. Yes. I'm sure it's not an actual photo but it shows that GM is at least bringing some much needed color and technology to the interior.. even if they are just options. EDIT: No.. it's some sort of purple color. The photo is a little dark to tell.
  25. I copied this from the PDF link from another thread. Looks pretty good with the two-tone coloring and Navigation screen. The new steering wheel is a nice change too. Some minor changes to the exterior as expected.
