  1. Stay away from projection. Not only is the picture quality not as good as the other options, you have to look at it directly or you'll get an even worse quality. From a side angle, you can't see anything at all.
  2. I copied it from another forum. It's a scene from the season finale of the new Battlestar Galactica that aired a few months ago. Good show. You don't even have to like scifi to like it.
  3. I doubt this is a valet key. If you look closely, it's clearly meant to be detached. I know I'm overreacting but if a Lexus RX330 and a VW Passat can do it, so can Caddy. I think it's cool. That's all. The interior looks really good but I can tell from the photos that all that black plastic will draw a lot of criticism when it ends up in showrooms. At least the CTS will be amazing. I'm looking forward to that much more then this obviously.
  4. This thread should be renamed “Tick, Tick for Buickman”. It is time for you to go. Even though I blocked your posts, you have still managed to disrupt the entire website. For someone with all your "expertise", one would assume you would have the maturity level of an adult. Sadly, you are acting more like a child with all these threads you have created to show us how much you dislike Rick Wagoner. We get it. You think you are better then him. Great. Then why are you still here posting here? A person with all your “valuable knowledge” should not have so much time on their hands. The fact that I am even posting on this thread means that you got the attention you wanted. However, I am not really calling out to you but to the Mods on this site. It is time to get rid of Buickman once and for all.
  5. My sister's fiance currently has 03 Jetta and while his car was in the shop, he was given a new Jetta. He hated it. It was actually smaller inside then his current car and it was just not as driver friendly. I assume that the Golf...er.. Rabbit is similar. Now, I did sit in a Golf at an autoshow last February and it seemed like a nice car inside but still was too cramped so I could understand where he was coming from... and I'm not a big person...neither is he. The rest of the car seemed pretty cool and it's stance was pretty sporty. Unfortunately, the interior's lack of space really hurt my overall opinion of the car. I'll wait until the Astra comes to our shores. If it's big enough inside, I'll probably purchase it since it has a lot of similarities with the Golf.. er... Rabbit.
  6. Well, remember that Lois never smoked around the kid. So obviously she couldn't kick the habit but was very careful not to do it around her son or even let him know she was doing it. Also, Lex Luthor's plan made perfect sense if you remember the original film. He was going to blow off half of California after he bought all that land in the desert and then sell the land for extremely high prices since it is ocean front. Special effects were amazing especially during the airplane scene where he's holding it up by the nose as it's plummeting towards earth. Very convincing. Now, I'm not a big superman fan. In fact, I only had seen the first two prior to this one so I guess I lucked out after hearing all the bad press about the other sequels. I also never read the comics. I thought the kid was going to be really annoying too but he wasn't and I was quite surprised. Bryan Singer did a great job staying true to the Richard Donner films and I'm sure will keep a lot of the fans happy.
  7. People I know from down south say that I'm lucky to have 90F heat living in my area because they say it's not as humid. We'll, obviously they've never been to the southern great lakes region during mid-summer. It's almost as bad as florida... and yes, I've been to florida during mid-summer. Not fun. I hate humidity. I'll take the dry heat thank you.
  8. Let's hear it for people posting in a thread two months after it went dead!!! Station Wagons are car based, SUVs are truck.. simple as that. Even though they offer a lot of similar features, SUVs, especially the GMT 900s are much larger and offer people the ability to tow a heavy trailers, boats, etc. The newer crossover SUVs are much similar to station wagons but are still different in size and offerings.
  9. It's starting to grow on me a little... just a little. I knew that the radio/HVAC controls were slightly different just by looking at that one photo a few months ago but I really wish they would use a different design. GM needs to get different suppliers for different brands or at least get them to produce different designs because they're too similar.
  10. I've seen this photo before. I would be totally embarassed to be living in the same neighborhood let alone owning it.
  11. Some people clearly have way too much time on their hands to complain about some stupid Yaris commercials. They aren't funny at a all and definately not disturbing. Instead of watching TV all the time, why don't these people get up off their fat a$$es and do something outside.
  12. The same reason people buy the camry every year. Name recognition. Pricing and appearance has nothing to do with their decisions and that's unfortunate.
  13. You basically answered your own question in stating that the '08 model will be all new. The reason why they won't do anything is because they would be wasting a lot of money and get very little return since most CTS buyers are waiting for the 08 model. The 07 SRX is getting a new interior because it's not getting a retool for a while. They will have a few years to get their money back from investing so much in a new design, materials, etc...
  14. So.. its' a CRV with Accord headlights and a nasty underbite and no bottom lip. A style feature that is not on any other Honda sedan or SUV which leads me to a very important question: What the hell is going on at HONDA?!?!? Have they lost their minds? This is not stylish at all. It's God Awful in the front. The rest of the vehicle looks really good but dear lord, they screwed up on the most important part. The current CRV is much more attractive and that's not saying much.
  15. It looks much better in person. Is it sooo hard for GM to get some decent photographers? I mean... come on! Also, did anyone notice the logo? I don't see red at all. Either that or the photo makes it appear like that. Finally, is that guy in the green shirt urinating in the car?? Discuss..
  16. I don't believe the one from New York that states that the penalty for jumping off a building is death especially since the death penalty was considered to be unconstitutional in the state back in 2004 and even before that, there were 0 executions since 1976.
  17. I thought they were integrating the keyfob with the key itself? Why not? Is it soo difficult to get a supplier to do that? Instead.. we have the same old GM parts bin key dangling from what looks to be a big rectangle of buttons with the cadillac crest on it. That's what the STS has been doing for a while now. Not really impressed with it. Sure it looks different from the other GM keyfobs but that's not saying much. I think the beancounters need to stay far away from Cadillac. It's hurting any chances of progress being made.
  18. Damn you Brian! I was posting just as you moved it and lost everything that I had typed. Congratulations on the new purchase. It certainly is a great vehicle and I'm sure you'll be the envy of most of your family and friends. It's a very comfortable cruiser especially when it's hot and sunny out and you will, no doubt, get a lot of looks from other drivers when you have the top down. One thing I need to warn you about. I got a chance to drive one a few weekends ago. When I tried to open the roof, it opened just barely and it sounded as though the motor was having problems. We all assumed it was a mechanical problem and were somewhat disappointed. Surprisingly, just a couple of hours later, it started working again. What happened was that just before it arrived, it was taken to the car wash. Water must have gotten down into the motor and temporarily disabled it. Though, after the water dried, it was working perfectly. Now, it may have just been that one G6 but in case you have trouble opening it one day, just remember that it might've gotten water into it and you should wait an hour or so for it to dry. Hopefully, you'll have no problems whatsoever. Again, Congrats on the new car and welcome to Cheersandgears! Hope you stop by again soon!
  19. This sign is there just so people wouldn't confuse them with the beached whales.
  20. Oh... great. He has a new screenname. Looks like I'll be blocking this one too.
  21. Good God! I think we found the Honda Civic interior design team's current project. Way too busy to look luxurious. Why can't they just keep copy the interiors from the TL or even the RL. They were much less cluttered and much more upscale. I wonder why Honda isn't putting out a serious effort sending Acura into competition with the luxury brands? Honda could do it if they really tried.. and maybe had the courage to produce anything bigger then a V6. With the exception of the RL, the entire line-up is FWD and there are no V8s, a must have in a serious luxury carmaker. Will they continue rebadging Euro Hondas or will someone wake up and give Acura a chance to really shine?
  22. Yeah.. like too much stitching on the dash. They'll be making up new problems with this car. Go to autoblog. Some have already started saying there is too much ugly silver plastic. What a bunch of losers.
  23. Epsilon II will be AWD ready. I doubt Cadillac will start producing FWD vehicles in the US after devoting so much money to convert them to RWD/AWD. That goes for the DTS replacement too.
  24. They're just prototype tail lights remember. I do notice the outline of where the actual light will fit and it appears that they will be larger and edge more into the side of the car then before. The nav is Pop-up. Look at the long line of bottons right in front of it. I like the fact that it isn't fully concealed when down so that when you don't need a nav screen, you still have a radio tuner and probably a digital clock. I'm sure the software for that isn't cheap. Oh and something I noticed: When you look at the prototype photo where I circled in red, notice how there is no outline for the Nav? I know that it's somewhat distorted, but you'd still be able to see the outline. Well, either they changed the interior around since the interview or the 60 minutes interior will belong to a base-model CTS. Which could mean that the wood trim will be available on all trim levels. Something to think about.
  25. The sooner this vehicle gets phased out for poor sales*crossing my fingers*, the better.
