  1. Wha? I seriously couldn't understand what you just typed. What I think you said is that you don't want to drive a convertable and wanted to know if a coupe version of the Solstice is coming. Right? Well, there is the SCCA race Solstice that has a hard top but it's just "tacked" on to the convertable. That's the closest thing to getting the coupe and it's not available for the buying public. There are a few aftermarket companies that are going to offer a detachable hardtop option so that's a start. A coupe similar to the concept from a few years ago showed us what a coupe Solstice would look like but there are no plans for it to go into production. Who knows.. keep checking the website for news periodically. Things might change if the demand is strong enough for a coupe.
  2. Cobalt will probably get Turbo when the next-generation Delta platform debuts in the US. The rumor is that the next cobalt will be getting AWD. The new Delta platform is currently under development right now at Opel and will be AWD capable so don't be surprised if the Cobalt does get AWD and a Turbocharged engine. That would be awesome.
  3. Look at all that fake aluminum in the Tundra interior. For a truck that's supposed to get a lot of use, that paint will definately start showing wear within the first few months of use.
  4. One more thing. I love how Edmunds bashes the car just from the spyshots. Gotta love them. Quote under interior shot:
  5. after reading the article again, I'm surprised they made the new Vue smaller. I've driven one several times and I think it's a pretty small SUV. Smaller then some of the other SUVs in the same class. Question: Isn't the new Honda CRV shrinking(though, ever so slightly) in size too? If so, it's obvious that GM is lining up Saturn to compete directly with the Honda brand. Very interesting.
  6. Wow. Those are awful. Of course, it is Popular mechanics. I posted a pic of Motortrend's rendering of chevy's potential Lambda vehicle.
  7. Ugh! They messed up the interior! Why did they have to change it and add that damn corporate radio. I guess they're not importing this one from Korea like Opel so that means they can dumb it down. I have a bad feeling about the next Astra. Hopefully, since they're importing it from Belgium, it will no doubt be exactly the same. *Crosses fingers* In all fairness, it looks to have a higher quality and most of the interior is the same. But that radio just ruins it for me. I used to love it, but when it's featured in just about all new GM vehicles, I can't stand it.
  8. it's called sarcasm.
  9. I think it looks more like the Impala with a huge-ass grill added on... so basically, yeah, it looks like a huge Cobalt.
  10. No wonder Toyota went back to the drawing board for the North American model. Since the Japanese/Euro Corolla is usually more stylish(barely) then the NA/South Asian model, the new model we would've gotten must've been really bland.
  11. I stopped reading these tests because I know there will be a little bias by the writers. I think once GM comes out with the RWD vehicles in a few years, I'll start paying attention again.
  12. I hate NASCAR and even though this movie pokes fun at it, most NASCAR fans would go see it because they don't realize that it makes fun of them. I don't want to be in the same theatre as them. Does that make me evil? Probably. I'll rent it when it comes out.
  13. I'm in too: 2004 Pontiac Grand AM
  14. Make sure BV doesn't read this post. He'll be staking out that bathroom for weeks.
  15. Zune won't be the new Ipod because Apple knows how to market it's products better. The Ipod will continue to be popular if Apple keeps it fresh. GM/Ford/Mazda are all smart for finally catching on to the craze.
  16. About damn time. I can't wait!
  17. That's manufactured Hot. She got a nose job a few years back. Not making this up.
  18. How does that make it over rated? Adding AWD opens up the Epsilon platform to endless possibilites and allows GM to produce much more then sedans, coupes, and convertables. They can use the Epsilon platform over and over again for a variety of segments and that would keep costs down.
  19. Some people have far too much time on their hands. I bet she's one of those people who complained that the Toyota Yaris commercials were too violent.
  20. I wasn't expecting much from this article. It doesn't matter how nice the car is, Car & Driver will find something wrong with it if it's made by a US company. I love this line about the BMW: So, they pretty much came out and said that the BMW stayed out of last place not because it's better, but because it's a BMW. Throughout the article, they kept giving the car excuses. Meanwhile, the Cadillac receives none.
  21. More photos: leftlane news Look at the shot that shows part of the interior. Looks to match the spy photo from a few months ago. Especially on the passenger side. EDIT: Does anyone else find it interesting that they have a turn signal on the side of the vehicle? You don't really see that on a sedan/SUV being sold in the US only. Mostly on foreign cars. Could it be that GM is so confident about the new Malibu that they're going to sell it overseas? Who knows at this point but this could be a nice addition to the European market.
  22. Have you completely ignored all Saturn news for the past 2 years? I hope that's the case because I think bringing Opel to the US is the best idea GM has had in years... other then fixing Cadillac.
  23. You're ignoring South Korea and the EU. They're making it harder and harder for American and foreign products to be sold in each region. Everyone is guilty of this offense. I do agree that our government does need to wise up though.
  24. I'm sure the Astra and the Vectra replacement will do well here and the only reason GM is not exporting more is obviously to keep the UAW from having a fit. I wouldn't be surprised if Saturn only imported 45,000 units though I'm sure the dealers want more. I can only assume that because the wagon will show up, this proves to all the naysayers that the next Aura will be a rebadged Vectra (like Cspec said). Though, I'm sure everyone here knew that was going to happen. I'm hoping the next Signum hatchba...er.. um.. 5 door will show up too. Maxx owners would like that one more.
  25. OH SNAP! No you di-ent!
