Yeah, why in the hell would they put a chevy badge on a GMC yukon that's actually an Escalade? That would make absolutely no sense considering the fact that the Escalade is much more then a Yukon/Tahoe with different sheetmetal.

You won't see a Lucerne coupe on it's current platform. Not that it's impossible but it's would be a waste to spend so much money reconfiguring a platform that is about to be phased out. Buick might actually get a convertable for Zeta that may be like the Velite if it seemed like a profitable venture.

That Tahoe is a hybrid. Look at how it matches the concept from the autoshow. They both have slighly different grilles, slab sides, and even the same rims on the tires. I can't begin to understand why they would put a Chevy badge on a Yukon but you can tell that it's a Hybrid when looking at the sides. Also, the grille is much larger then the current model and much closer in shape to the GMC concepts that we've seen over the past few years. So, it could also be a design refresh.

Welcome! New Brunswick is a very beautiful province. I think you're the first Canadian here from there...I think. I did a class project on it 10 years ago in middle school. My God, I can't believe it was so long ago. Getting back on topic: Seems like a pretty cool place. Welcome again and enjoy your stay.

Thanks for the tip Jos... I mean Oldsmoboi.

Too bad Michael Bay is directing. It's going to suck with him behind the camera.

Buick won't get rid of the Lacrosse. Not when they're so close the mid-cycle refresh. Once that comes around, it might pick up sales a bit... it might not. The biggest problem right now with the lacrosse (though, there are a lot of big problems) is that GM has done very little with adding new things on to each new model year car to get anyone to buy one. They can do what toyota does and make slight exterior changes to differentiate it from the previous model year. Add a new bumper, change the color of the tail lamps, do anything GM!!! It doesn't have to cost a lot. Then when EPII comes, they won't have to start from scratch again with customers.

Wait, he can look into the future?? Amazing! There is a reason why this guy is writing on that website and is not a real journalist. He's an amature at best. In fact, let’s face it: Sajeev Mehta will never be a professional auto journalist. No matter how many clever quips and jabs he makes toward Buick and GM. If you can't write a good article, that worthless article filler won't help him. I too am glad Buick will never be an American Lexus. Who wants bland, uninspired, barely adequate luxury cars, that are constantly trying to catch up to it's European counterparts. Buick offering niche luxury cars that offer RWD and great styling will be much more appealing.

Nice. That therr thang gotta hemi?

I don't think it will be the end of Suburbia as we know it. Though, cities will gain from this a bit. We'll probably just see an increase in commuter trains and other forms of public transportation as gas prices continue to climb. Suburban living has become entrenched in North American culture. It's not going away because we like our space.

Wow. Someone actually made the solstice look ugly. I didn't think it was possible with a bad choice of rims but they did it.

Aura review: Better than Accord, Camry, Mazda6
Cadillacfan replied to Northstar's topic in Heritage Marques
The difference between them nitpicking the things I posted is that while the Canadian papers don't hold it over the whole car, the American mags in question will give the car two out of 6 stars because the interior materials didn't feel as soft as a baby's ass. -
I think he just want's chicken. Meaty, juicy chicken.

Aura review: Better than Accord, Camry, Mazda6
Cadillacfan replied to Northstar's topic in Heritage Marques
You know as soon as the American car mags review it, the reviews aren't going to be as glowing(with the exception of Autoweek). I think the reviews from the Canadian auto press are as good as we're going to get it guys. I can already assume they'll(American journalist) cry over the 4 speed.. even though Aura offers a 6. They'll cry over the lack of a 4 cylinder engine and the fact that the Hybrid will be a year late. What else? Hmm... Oh.. they probably won't like the interior all that much because it has too many pieces from the GM parts bin. Then, they'll start making up new issues (i'm looking at you Edmunds) that never seemed to be a problem before on other cars. Finally, I guarantee that at least one article will mention that GM dumbed down the vehicle from concept to production even though we have yet to see the rumored redline version which may look more like it. I can keep going. Sure, I may be overreacting but I'm just preparing myself for the worst. Hell, I may be entirely wrong. They may love this car but most will still love the Accord and Camry more. Now, if I'm going to be specific; the three main offenders I'm thinking of are Edmunds, Motortrend, and Car and driver. They're usually the worst. -
Sooner or later we're not even allowed baggages...
Cadillacfan replied to ToniCipriani's topic in The Lounge
I heard people won't be allowed to leave their houses forever and ever. I think a lot of people are overeacting. This is just a safety measure that people will have to get used to. No big deal especially when you consider the alternative: crashing into sky scrapers at full speed and dying. -
Who the heck knows why they didn't keep the center consule alone. Everything else seems to look untouched. Now, I can understand them changing the radio because of the easier set-up but the NA version is completely different. Why did they get rid of the NAV screen? Why did they move the air vents and radio up? If the Europeans can live with it, why can't we? Doesn't make any sense considering the fact that it's probably going to be around the same price as it's Opel counterpart.
-
You can tell they started to put effort into it, but then the bean counters stepped in when they put the finishing touches on like the radio and the wood paneling.

Editorials really give people insight into the overall mentality of different news organizations. The blade obviously has jumped on the bandwagon of sensationalism seeing that the editor allowed this very biased/unfair opinion piece to grace the paper's pages. This type of reporting won't save print media's inevitable demise. It only quickens it. People are tired of one opinion. That's why the internet and cable news has become so popular.

Homeland Security should be knocking on(or down) your door any minute.

Then why is Ford rushing to get heavily refreshed Mustang on the road by then? The dodge Challenger may be a slight threat but the Camaro is the real adversary. Chevy's not late. It's just taking the game to the next level.

I probably sound like a broken record now, but I got a chance to drive the HHR a few months back and was surprised at how nice the interior was. Sure, the materials aren't quite there yet but overall, nice design and I love the little light in in the ceiling that illuminates the whole consule at night in a faint blue-ish glow. It allows you to see everything without turning the overhead lights on. The speedometer seems to have a new look. Kind of retro in appearance.

Better start saving now. I don't even want to know how expensive that is. Isn't it sad seeing this car and looking at the Jaguar today. Then, it was a brand that was the best of the best in terms of luxury. Now, it's...well.. made up of rebadged Fords and somewhat bland styling. Fortunately, the new XK is freakin hot but it doesn't really look like a Jaguar. Looks more like an Aston Martin.. not a bad company to emulate.. but you get what I mean.
-
Weak exterior design. I wasn't expecting much from Hyundai anyway. Did a good job with the interior mimicing something you might see from a Toyota three years ago. Seriously though, it's not bad, just not original. The Lacrosse backend comes from the fact that this looks like a shrunken Azera.

Well, none of the vehicles in the compact SUV segment are winning beauty pagents. This still looks better then the current VUE and will be competitive in the US market due to Opel's influence.
