  3. 2 1 i would have voted for 3, but the perspective is way off. unless, we sent really short people to the moon. :D
  4. 1. How much money will it take to realize my dream of having a 30s Hot Rod powered by a radial aircraft engine? depends on the level of fit and finish you want and if you want it street legal. a rusted out rolling chassis with the rear of the body hacked off and the radial mounted in its place with a pusher prop meets you description. 2. Which is cooler, a 1960 Cadillac Landau Hearse (by Eureka) or a 1967 Cadillac Hearse (by Miller Meteor)? the one w/o R134 3. Would it be worth the money and effort to make a 2005 VW Beetle rear engined & RWD using a Bug w/ a bad motor & a totaled Boxter w/ a good engine & trans? sure. no doubt, at least one other person in the world would agree. 4. If I win the Lottery should I make a "Pegasus II" by stuffing a SD455 motor into a old beatup Ferrari 308 as an homage to William Mitchell? nope. 5. How soon will I fulfill my next personal goal of buying a 1959 Buick? 1-2 years after divorce 5. Will it be a Flattop, 2dr bubbletop or 4dr bubbletop? w/o a wife calling you crazy, why not make it a 4 door flattop? 6. Once I sell my Camaro to buy a '59 Buick what will I eventually drop my 350 crate motor into? ebay 7. How long would a stock IRS & rear end last in a 1984 Datsun if it was powered by a 377hp Chevy 350? at least one pass 8. What would be more of a sleeper, a 2006 Impala converted to RWD and powered by a LS2 mounted lenghtwise or a LS7 Powered 1961 Impala wagon? tough one. the modern impalas outperform classic ones in every category which would make the 61 the underdog. but, to most people, the classic would be the more obvious "hot rod". i would say the 06. 9. How much wood would a Wood Chuck chuck if he had a 4-speed 572 powered Wood Chucker? as much as any woodchuck w/o the intelligence to tune a big block chevy. 10. Could I ever afford to pay an engineer & a machine shop enough money to make a 1000 cubich inch V16 using two Cadillac 500s with a joined crank? depends on how cute he thought you were. 11. If I did have a custom built Cadillac block 1000 cubich inch V16 would it be a waste to throw it in the back of a 1961 Cadillac pro street Combination Hearse w/ the formal window curtains and quad Coffin shapped Air cleaners? fudge-hell-yeah! that'd be awesome. 12. Has anyone done a Hydrogen powered 1969 Camaro and if not will I be the first? do your own research. :P 13. How come only one 1959 Buick Flxible Professional car is known to have survived even thought they made 49 Hearse/Combo/Ambulances that year? because George Bush hates black cars.

    Project car

i had a red 86.5 at one time. its the one car i most regret getting rid of. a ~400 HP ecotec/4t65e would be sweet in that car. B)

    Project car

my project car would be a late 60's volvo P1800, possibly a wagon if i could afford a lot of body work to fix the rear. trim/door handles would be shaved, slightly flared fenders, approproate chassis strenghtening/modifying (SFCs,cage, etc) and, of course, a nice paint job. powertrain choice has evolved over the years in my mind. everything from a volvo T-5, SC 3800, V8 to a TC ecotec. tranny or transaxle/engine combo choice would come down to weight distribution within the chassis. and, of course, suspension/braking would be modernized. i would pretty much leave the interior alone. just a pair of recaros up front, 5-points, necessary gauges and controls, and a basic resto. no tuck n roll, leather door panels, A/V system, etc. just gimme heat, AC, my guages and a carputer and i'd be happy. no rear seat, prolly use that room for a fuel cell to make room for a rearend or transaxle. btw, i'd do the powertrain before your resto. might as well get it running/turning/braking right before making it look good. and, you wont have to worry about scratching new paint or getting oil/dirt on new interior. :)
  7. yeah, bring tic-tacs. one is a mechanic.
  8. i dont have much experience with this, but i did make a calendar for my club last year. i learned that printing from a digital file will effectively reduce the dpi and quality of the print by half. the files i made were 600dpi  the cover was a solo shot of a GP (8.5x11) and it came out well enough to see the ridges in the sidewall of the tires. i went thru CafePress, basically, because it was free to set up. btw, depending on how bad he regrets it, you might not want to buy him a daily reminder.
  9. you shouldnt be disappointed with the their service. not everything they sell is worth the money, tho. but that holds true just about everywhere. :)
  10. whoa whoa whoa there, ace! have you ever touched one of those trannies? they are very soft and feel of high quality. :P
  11. doing it netted me an increase in mileage on my old truck until i got a cover, which increased it a bit more. :dunno:
  12. did you lower tire psi and remove/lower the tailgate?
  13. i'd like to see your slips. also, what year is it and how many miles?
  14. 12.74 @ 106 is the best i have a slip for. 02 gtp.
  15. he could try strapping it to the pass side sun visor. you'll get nailed for that in MO, tho. <_<
  16. you could say i mind it. i wont get a solstice because of it. instead, im gonna get a sky on which a front plate would be tolerable. while i like the looks of the sky better, the assumed extra cost of the saturn wasnt justifiable until i imagined a plate on the front of both cars. we have bright white plates here, so its also affected my choice of color over the years.
  17. i loathe christmas music, which explains my choices. "santa claus is a fat bitch" by ICP and "backdoor santa" by clarence carter

  19. interesting place for the GM badge.
  20. edit: i'll remove the pic if people have objections.
