  1. as each day goes by, I think Pontiacs days are numbered. I don't think there is much, if anything in the pipe right now. rather than a beheading, a la Olds, i think it's going to be via starvation over the next several years. they may get a lat minute reprieve, but that won't be decided for quite some time.
  2. what's the story with the Matrix? no XRS or AWD for them too? or is this just another nail in Pontiac's coffin?
  3. why can't you go save Ford and leave GM alone!
  4. liar. he said "before '06" not "by end of 2005"
  5. whether by design or hapanstance, GM is confusing the market with their release and cancellation of vehicles for Pontiac. Bonneville - GXP offered with NS. then cancelled? GTO - brilliant performance car with vanilla styling, ruined in the market by the name. (too much baggage) Pontiac continues to talk about going after BMW. First vehicle off the line after that comment is the Montana SV6?? G6 comes to market with new name, No 4cyl, no coupe, convert delayed. Solstice - brilliant. but where is the trunk space? Torrent - rebadge after saying no more rebadges G5 - rebadge after no more rebadges
  6. go read the comments on the Azera thread for the 'common sense' and 'emotion' that exists here sometimes.
  7. evok believes that Josh said it. sounds familiar to me, but i don't recall specifics.
  8. what GM needs is large, full size BOF RWD cars with pushrod V8 engines to..... oops, sorry, wrong thread! in all seriosuness, another thought provoking thread that makes for interesting reading. unfortunately, at this point I have nothing constructive to add, but, again, another good discussion.
  9. common sense on C&G is 'occasionally' lacking. emotion, however, is in abundance!
  10. no one knows the 'exact' date. it's too far in the future. but look for a debut of NG CTS at 2007 NAIAS. with cars on the street fall 2007. look for spy shots prior to that. as for NG CTS-V, I'd guess a year after that.
  11. Nope. That's just a mule for the "Blue Devil".
  12. evok just added some facts into the discussion. and without facts, the discussion is not as informative. i see lots of G6's around here too, but 84,000 units/year(at current pace) less is a significant number
  13. Ok, I'm done. Only 5 for Toyota?
  14. I think CTS will debut at NAIAS 2007. (maybe spy shots before then.)
  15. cost of new interior after a few years is how much? I don't think an interior update is going to drive sales enough to justify the spend. Aura will (if done right) capture those potential lost sales plus take some from the Camcord crowd - something G6 has a harder time doing.
  16. so has <older actress name of your choice here> but she's still hot! for future reference, what is the statute of limiitations on attempted humor of past events?

    Good-bye

given the time of day, you're forgiven!!! (it was a lame attempt at humor)
  18. if we become a world superpower, we wouldn't want you as our bitch!
  19. so, when is NG STS supposed to hit the streets? anyone recall when it debuted?
  20. well make sure you save some for Fly to pay for!!!!
  21. better silly than American!
  22. you mean 'shelved' for two months don't you?
  23. 97regalGS

    Good-bye

    who won't be forgotten?
  24. is the new interior confirmed? given that CTS and SRX share current interiors, is it the same interior that is going to be in NG CTS? If so, that will be an improvement.
  25. i disagree.NG CTS is hot!! seeing early sketches might make people wait to by NG, thus affecting current sales. (it is that good!) NAIAS is a good 7-9 months before they'll be on the street, and there will likely be some spy shtos before then. (get that CD/BP???)
