  1. I loved the mid-size Bonnevilles of 1982-86-not totally sure why, but I'm a sucker for anything with DCL glass, even more so when its a G-Body sedan (or wagon). But if this car will be mid-size like it seems it will be, I favor calling it Grand Prix over Bonneville, the latter of which seems more appropriate for a large car, not a mid-sized one. Pontiac cannot get this car out soon enough-its doomed and almost as useless as Mercury (as it is now/said to be) is without it.
  2. Yeah, its not 1988 anymore-the Malibu needs that 6-speed automatic as standard no questions asked! The engine lineup should be the 2.4-liter ECOTEC I-4, 3.2-liter DOHC High Feature 235hp V-6 (optional on base retail models this time, without having to buy options or packages either!!!), and the 3.6-liter DOHC HF V-6, with at least 270hp.
  3. Surprisingly boring considering this is the same brand that's given Europeans product such as the C-Matisse concept car, and its current C-segment cars (I forget the name), as well as the quirky, but nicely-designed Toyota Aygo/Peugeot 107 clone, whose name I also forget.
  4. I'll spring for the Impala in lieu of this ugly-in-pictures subcompact/compact Honda crapola. Those Aveo crash photos look as bad as the previous minivans, which looked dreadful. I've seen the Aveo-its bland, its boring, its nothing special. The interior looks nice, but for the love of the auto industry, STYLE A SMALL CAR AND DON'T MAKE IT SO TALL AND TOP-HEAVY!!!!
  5. So a front-drive BL-Series for the next generation (Epsilon II) has been cancelled? Good news. And so if these rumors came true, then we'd have the BLS/BLW as a compact, BMW 3-Series rival, and we'd have this 1-Series rival, I'll call it Debonair, as a shortened version if this platform came to fruition? It sounds nice, but my old think wants to have a heart attack thinking of a Cadillac smaller than a CTS. But its time to get with the times, everybody's doing it-I say, let's see what a B-segment Standard of the World looks like! Make sure the styling's edgy, the interior somewhat roomy and an absolute must-colorful and very trendy. No coal or camel bins! I'll be shocked at this point if Pontiac's still alive in 2013, but hopefully it will be.
  6. I was referring to Impala, DTS, and Lucerne. Grand Prix and LaCrosse are grossly oversized mid-size cars. And for the next Impala, take a look at the real 1958-85 Impalas (and 1965-96 Caprices) and make sure there are 3 per side.
  7. Making wider availability of the 2.4-liter I-4 would be a very wise move-how much power is this turbocharged version and will this make an appearance on the Astra Red Line or a G5 GXP?
  8. So what...no pricing on the other three (SLE AWD, SLT FWD and SLT AWD) models? Its a little pricey, but its much bigger than that faux Third World box, the Pilot. Jack up the color selection-add Black (how could a vehicle NOT have black??!!), ditch the Navy Blue, add the nLight Quartz, and a standard red that's not the Maroon one (aka Cranberry Red Metallic). Looks decent and appealing for a car that never should even have been discussed for GMC, unlike the smaller and absolutely appalling-in-all-ways Jeep Compass and Patriot.
  9. Saw it on AutoScoops, looks pretty good-nice update to an aging subcompact (sized between Spark and Aveo, based on a two-generation Opel/Vauxhall/Chevy Corsa I believe-the pre-2001 version).
  10. Funny we're talking about this-I just saw a grey 2007 Camry LE, I was paying close attention to the front end in particular-I actually like the Camry design-not Design of the Year material by any means, but it looks sleeker and less heavy looking than the previous model, and the front end, blunt nosed up front, semi-sloping headlamps/sides, reminds me of some later 1960's-early 1970's Mercury's.
  11. No, thank GM for that since they discontinued the colors, not Toyota and Honda! How about another, real red on Lucerne-that Deep Ruby/Sonoma Red Metallic, perhaps? And get rid of boring Navy Blue-replace it with that new Midnight Blue.
  12. I thought the Chi architecture was cancelled. No loss there itf that's true-the only FWD/AWD large cars are Avalon, Five Hundred/Montego/MKS, not counting the 3 GM's now.
  13. The new Malibu 4-door notchback sedan (the versatile Maxx will unfortunately be discontinued) is still on Epsilon I, but now on the long (112.3") wheelbase as the similar Saturn Aura and Pontiac G6.
  14. NAIAS would be an awesome road trip-I don'rt see it this year but anything's possible. I'm really excited for all these vehicles-they show a lot of promise, and hopefully, like the Saturn Aura, they will live up to it in person. Just make sure the pricing is right, passenger/cargo room, features, fuel economy and power are up!
  15. Camino LS6-I'm sorry for your Dad's loss-you're in my prayers and remember that Someone is near, even in this time.
  16. I'd bet Impala would gain Gold Mist and Polar Blue (and maybe Light Amethyst-the Quartz one) colors, maybe a few shuffles-I'd recommend re-consolidating all LT's to one (the 3LT with the 3900 V-6-still cloth or leather, bench or bucket), and LS gaining more standard and optional equipment, can't think of too much else now. Yeah I agree, focus on the RWD 2010 model-we're all waiting to see it!
  17. Looks great, as does the smaller RDX-kudos to them being able to kick the V-6 engine to 300hp! Buick better boost the power on that larger Enclave (and Chrysler with the Pacifica).....
  18. If Falcon seriously takes some styling cues of the curvaceous Iosis concept car, (and some of the 427), it would be a blessing. If it looks like the boring, ancient current car (or the Commodore), fuhgeddaboutit!
  19. Yeah I know its been in Canada for sometime, known from 1996-2005 as the EL (redesigned along with Civic for 2001, of course). Still glad we don't get it in America Senior.
  20. So that sedan pictured is the car we're getting or got saved from getting? It looks just like the current boring and ugly model, but now this Corolla just looks boring, so I suppose its a very slight, miniscule improvement. Fabulous interior though!
  21. Yeah the 2008 Vibe was slated to again be paired with the Toyota Matrix. These pictures are just big, but it will probably be similar in size to the current model and Dodge Caliber-which if Pontiac Vibe wants to stay alive and get its Vibe back (which it lost after about 2004), it'll need to have Caliber's good styling points, such as the rear roofline for example.
  22. A little pricey but one of the better looking compacts nonetheless-not that Focus or Corolla really have anything to offer anyway these days...
  23. Its a piece of crap. Got a brochure on it yesterday and sat in a Marine Blue Pearl Sport model-nicer color than I thought, but when sitting up front (like in the similar Caliber), the headrests protruded right into my head-why would you design your headrests so that nobody can get any comfort whatsoever (and as far as I know it only had the normal up/down adjustment). I'd say send it to Dodge, but that's if it were a better car, so just kill this and send the Patriot over to Chrysler as a more luxurious offering, and we'll forget Jeep even EVER THOUGHT OF a car-based crossover SUV, maybe I'll forgive them for that too. But fire the executive who even thought of this idea, no pension either. Now about the GMC Acadia....
  24. Always liked this stylish car-one of the few 4.5 year olds whose aged well.
  25. How about some unique, bright colors? Most of Lucerne's colors (Ming Blue, Dark Garnet, etc.), a navy blue and maroon respectively, are really boring. More chrome, maybe different front and rear ends if possible, stuff like that. I have a hard time believing LeSabre's, Park Avenue's, or Lucerne's, or any other post-muscle car/Grand National-era Buick having any remote younger people connection other than people who need a good, reliable, not-blung-out car. Most big Buick's I see are driven by senior citizens, hardly families anymore either (mine and maybe a few others are a seemingly rare exception).
