  1. Get lots of Saturn pics!
  2. sure hope this doesn't have too many early bugs... would hate to see the Aura and/or Outlook get a reputation for bugs like, say, the Olds Aurora. Great car design, but numerous early bugs kill image & resale.
  3. What about the upcoming Vue Greenline? Not hard to save $1,500 in gas over the life of the vehicle - my calculations show a break-even point at about 115K miles, and gas isn't getting cheaper.
  4. Someone should really change the title of this thread, since it seems it turned out to not be true...
  5. That reminds me of a story told by one of my profs from when he worked with an aircraft manufacturer. They had this one helicopter that just kept having all kinds of problems with the rotors. They would take it apart and measure the crap out of all the parts trying to find the problem. All parts were within spec. After doing that several times, they decided to split up the rotors and put them on other helicopters, none of the original rotors remaining with each other, and different rotors put on the first helicopter. None of the helicopters had problems after that. It was apparently just a set of rotors that were all at the far high or low end of being within spec, and it caused problems.
  6. I haven't been following the Compass or anything, but I'm gonna take a guess... rebadged Caliber?
  7. I'd leave 'em seperate - there will still be talk of the pre-opelization products, and the new products won't 100% overlap. For example, I'd be really suprised if we see the tigra over here. (though I wouldn't complain - it's a unique vehicle I could probably come to like pretty well). I suppose I could see the merge once nearly all the NA-only product are gone, but having 2 shared models (the GT/SKY and Astra, since the Aura isn't an exact copy, is it?) isn't really enough to call them the same thing, IMO.

    ....

sure looks like Vader's helmet to me...
  9. I had shingles when I was like 20. I found it humorous... they tell you that you can only get chicken pox once. Then you find out it's because they rename it the second time.
  10. eeeeeh. Makes me nervous. They could screw this up royally. Still, I'll want to see it. Not sure if I'll pay theatre price, though.
  11. site wouldn't load properly for me, but I like that front end pictured above, though it has a bit of VW styling cues.
  12. I've liked the Samsung phones I've had.
  13. we have the plants making the ethanol near here, and more being built. I don't know if there are any E85 pumps around here or not. I do know a place that sells 91 octane gas that's 15% ethanol. It's actually cheaper than the regular 87 octane stuff, and works just fine.
  14. Will be interesting to see how they hold up. From what I understand, previously Police package Intrepids were a cheaper but less desired option, with the Impala in the middle, and the Crown Vic being a more durable but expensive choice, and other cars being more specialized. I could be wrong... How does the Charger compare in cost to the Impala & Crown Vic? I haven't really familiarized myself with them...
  15. I have no idea, but am curious if it was "headers" or "a header". If it's one assembly, it's techinically "a header". Saturn noobs get ragged on a lot for stating they want to put "headers" on their car.
  16. ...this conversation reminded me of my calculator, which I had to re-solder a battery connection on. I felt it deserved this custom sticker placed below the "made in china" one...
  17. looks pretty decent. You spend any time on Saturn forums?
  18. so there'll only be really underwhelming models... nice.
  19. "A Saturn concept vehicle that will provide an indication of how the brand's new design cues will continue on future vehicles." = Rebadged Antara concept, as Cadillacfan said = 2008 Vue concept. The Astra hasn't been confirmed in the least, and they've still got production for the Ion lined up for a while, so I'd guess if the Astra happens, we'll see a concept next year about this time, with it being sold late next year. I hope.
  20. I like that back end - very classy. I agree that it would fit well with Buick.
  21. Sounds like your beef is with the buyer, not GM. The buyer largely dictates what form the vehicle takes. You're right that many of the buyers could get by with something more efficient (lighter, less power, smaller). Many of the buyers of these vehicles wouldn't buy the things if they were less sturdy (lighter), less powerful, or smaller.
  22. I'd love a large car with a stick. Not a large Chinese car, though...
