  1. Who's the manufacturer?
  2. Well, inthat case, then Mac's are generally the better option. I'm not sure what sort you're buying used, but for the love of God, make sure it has an Intel CPU. Even if it means you have to save up for a longer time, buying a used Mac Pro with an Intel Xeon will reward you with better upgradeability, and the ability to run Windows if you need. Heck, you're handy with fixing cars, so you might be able to build yourself a new 'hackintosh' for a comparable cost of a used Mac if you're brave enough to do the necessary research.
  3. Why on Earth do you want a MacBook when there's a free alternative called Linux that runs on your existing hardware?
  4. Don't get anything too expensive! You'll need to save some money for a colostomy after all that McDonalds.
  5. I never knew any series of 3800 was particularly gloat-worthy.
  6. Yeah, but this means I can't play TF2 with CaddyKing or DF. Not to worry though, because I think I'll be able to use my media center for gaming purposes by attaching my monitor somehow to the side of the home theater shelving. Like this:
  7. I've listened to this a few more times, and I'm still incredibly pleased with it. It's slightly more mellow than the hard rock I'm accustomed to, but that's probably why I like it. 'When it comes to Love' is a great, not too sugary ballad, and 'Angel Tonight' almost sounds like Danger Danger and Giant did a collab. Simply awesome. Nah, I'm not a terribly huge KISS fan, and have a few other albums to chew through from the likes of Lynch Mob, Danger Danger, and the upcoming Winger one.
  8. I spent my money on a pair of new SelectTech's that were a sweet deal, so no new PC after all.
  9. HOT!!!
  10. Using their kid as a cheap prop for media attention? They should be thrown in jail or something, along with both the Gosselin's for good measure.
  11. Happy Birthday Dude!
  12. Are you pondering what I'm pondering?
  13. Do you happen to still have a certain Firebird hanging around?
  14. SUP DAWG! I HEARD YOU LIKE TO RAGE SO WE PUT SOME POLITICS IN YOUR GLOBAL WARMING THREAD SO YOU CAN MELTDOWN WHILE MELTING DOWN!
  15. Can't Stop the Rock (Mint Royale Remix) - Apollo 440
  16. That's not necessarily the case. Buick has a had a few 'performance' models in its heyday. While modest engine options like the 2.0, or 3.0 are likely to find themselves in most engine bays of the Regal, a turbo variant like the OPC Insignia would give the car some extra flair for those who want it.
  17. So I picked this album up, and I think it's an awesome effort. I suppose I'm a bit biased, because I'm a huge Kelly Hansen fan because of his previous band Hurricane, and his stint in Unruly Child, as well as being involved in a bunch of tribute albums. Jeff Pilson's involvement as bassist, and backing vocals only seals the deal. How about the rest of you? Awesome effort? Or is it nothing without Lou?
  18. That's my feeling too. Even if it turns all this global warming stuff is all bunk, we still need to reduce consumption, and find more efficient alternatives to the things we already do; being ecologically conscious shouldn't be a reaction to climate change, but because it's the right thing to do.
  19. Hope your birthday was big pimpin' WMJ.
  20. My thoughts exactly. The author does present some good arguments, although I think the Corvette is an excellent halo car that many people young and old still aspire to own. Plus, the next generation of Corvette sounds like it'll be smaller, and lighter, so it's adapting to the times, as well.
  21. Um. Wat?
  22. Yeah, I'll be gaming with the 4770. I know that the AMD 57xx series should be out any day now, but I'd like to see how prices fare and what nVidia has coming. Also, I'm waiting for aftermarket coolers to make an appearance.
  23. So, if all goes to plan, I could be looking at my next rig. 4770's there to tide me over until ATI's 58xx series drops in price and when nVidia plays its GT300 hand. No third party heatsink, because I don't intend on OC'ing for a while. Subtotal is $1,151.95 before 90 bucks of rebates. If I were to get a comparable AMD system with a 790FX chipset and a Phenom 955, I'd be about 180 bucks ahead, so I'm not discounting that option either.
