  1. Duly noted, and corrected.
  2. Forget Pot, stoners are probably booking flights to find out what these people are smoking.
  3. I'd feel way happier about this inspirational, and heartfelt speech if it weren't for YouTube comments, which are proof that a lot of people are total D-bags.
  4. Happy Birthday, Yellow Knight!
  5. Like this? http://www.consumersearch.com/cell-phone-reviews/lg-accolade-vx5600 They're out there. It just requires a bit of research.
  6. Aw gee, they're reviving XT and Pro monikers? I thought we left that lousiness behind us. It was already enough trouble differentiating between an nVidia 8800GTX/GTS/GTX/Ultra.
  7. The reason 'call quality' has dropped is due to the sheer amount of tech being packed into phones. It's only natural that circuitry devoted to the speaker will have to be neutered in order to make way for a WiFi adapter. But you can still buy a simple, 'gizmo-free' phone with excellent sound quality, or get it for free with a contract. Sheesh, whaddya people want. And PC's? Failing devices? Just mosey into any public school, and you can bet you'll find PC's with Windows 3.11 from the early nineties still in operation. My IBM from 1997 still is running with all the original parts including the hard-drive. All that's been done is an upgrade of RAM back in 1999, and Windows Updates. The reason devices like PC's often 'fail' is because people don't take care of them.
  8. Happy Birthday, sir!
  9. The City - First Signal Yay Canadian Hair Metal!
  10. Until DF's post, I had totally forgotten what the Subie's mid-sizer car was, whereas I even managed to remember the Optima.
  11. Pretty much sums up my attitude towards this vehicle. I just hope GM has spent as much time on effort on HCCI for their gasoline engines, and on bringing small, clean diesels to North America as they have hyping this car up.
  12. three people
  13. All the Sebring is really good at is "converting fuel to noise." Anything is an improvement, but even with a nice interior update, it'll likely still be mid-pack.
  14. Ok, but we're talking seventy-five dollars here. You'd think there'd be a mechanism in place for this exact sort of situation where the homeowner could pay up after the disaster; hell, make it a five hundred dollar penalty, which would still be far more preferable than a man losing his livelihood. Now that his house is gone, chances are his ability to pay taxes has been diminished and his employment may be in jeopardy. Those are 'morally unacceptable penalties' that could have been avoided had the fire department used some common sense and implemented a system that would allow them to charge a fee (and/or penalty) while still saving the property.
  15. Score one for Libertarianism!!!!!111!!1!!

But buying stock would mean having a certain degree of faith in the banking and financial sectors.
  17. It works!
  18. Our city has slowly been changing the signs from ALL CAPS to a mix of upper and lower case letters. For whatever reason, I've found the new format far easier to read. Perhaps it'll help tourists in NYC find their way around town just a bit easier.
  19. WTF GUYS!? WHY ARE WE UNABLE TO HAVE SERIOUS DISCUSSIONS ABOUT CANADA ON HERE?! GAWD!
  20. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dLdDoxP3fCM I think Chevrolet has effectively handed both the heterosexual male, and people who hate processed crappy modern pop music markets to Ford.
  21. :roflmao:
  22. Wait, so aliens are monitoring nuclear weapon sites as a 'warning' that we don't use them on each other? Aliens are pro-decommission?! This guy is pinker than the insulation in my walls. He's probably an alien. If anything, we should build more nuclear arms, now that we know the aliens are on to us.
  23. Did a regrease. At stock voltage, with 3.6GHz, it will idle in the low 30's, touching 28 Celsius. However, adding the voltage still kicks it up to an idle of about 37.5, and stressing it still shoots it to 55/56. I think the added heat is due to my raising the 'HT' (FSB) by about 400MHz along with a slight voltage tweak, but that's often necessary in order for stability. It sits comfy at 3.7, and I think I'll leave it there. Anything more, and it's diminishing returns in terms of energy and heat in relation to speed. With graphics cards becoming the major peripheral in gaming and graphics, all-out CPU performance has become far less important within only a few years.
  24. I am probably wrong, but the last time I've more or less given up reading hardware news because it's often FUD, and totally wrong. Then of course, there's the comments sections which more or less devolve into debates about how one's CPU choice determines their sexual orientation or the (questionable) morals of their mother.
  25. Initially, AMD's GPU's were going to 32nm, but GlobalFoundries had a couple issues that prevented it from occurring. However, that's what makes these chips quite impressive; initially, they were thought to be merely nominal improvements over the current 5xxx-series, similar to what nVidia did with its G92 architecture for the past couple years. It'll be interesting to see how the fanboys react to the new cards. The ATi name is finally being done away with, and they'll be called AMD Radeon's. You can bet some Intel nerds are going to buy inferior nVidia cards just to not have 'AMD' products in their PC.
