  1. Prelude.
  2. Odd, because I recall certain 'unique' individuals expressing considerably vitriolic opinions towards other individuals who were real assets to this place. You know, when one unique individual made a topic about the V8's demise, and a few other 'unique' members decided to lambaste the poster. There's no 'group' at C&G out to silence opposing viewpoints. Instead, perhaps you're just noticing people beginning to get sick and tired of hearing people complain about: Pontiac Small Cars Government Motors New cars versus Old cars Technology in vehicles RWD vs FWD Society supposedly being in the sh*tter Hyundai Sonata Turbo Cadillac needing a 100K car, but should not have a 35K crossover in order to pay for that 100K car's development Buick The worst thing of all is how people have just decided to regurgitate their arguments in different threads. It gets really old, really fast. And that's why there's been an increased 'fight' from the people you believe are somehow out to eliminate participation. Participation isn't being eliminated; it's just that those 'unique' individuals are being taken to task, and they've got no real recourse.
  3. Holy Water - Platinum Blonde How these dudes didn't get famous in the States during the eighties remains a great Canadian mystery.

It seems like a Canon T1i might be all you need; you can find some pretty nice deals going on those, and it's a fantastic camera.
  6. It's even more infuriating that he not only didn't get to go on his trip, but is facing a 10K fine AND a civil suit. The TSA well and truly are grabasses.

  8. In Canada, about 8 people die a day on the roads, due to accidents and what-have-you. Since America has 10 times the population, let's say 80 people die per day, that's just over three people per hour. I think the TSA, and US Government needs to rethink its policies a little. I'm not saying terrorism should not be ignored, but some perspective needs to be regained. Expending money on useless body scanners that only inconvenience citizens and infringe on their privacy mean that the terrorists have won... again.

Awesome! I have a T1i, and that already is a fantastic camera! Enjoy!
  10. Happy Birthday!
  11. CADILLAC NEEDS TO SPEND ELEVENTY BILLION DOLLARS ON AN FLAGSHIP TO COMPETE WITH GERMANY! OH $h!! BUT CADILLAC HAS NO MONEY! OH $h!! THE SRX IS MAKING GM TONS OF MONEY THAT WILL LET THEM MAKE COOL $h!! BUT OH $h!!! THE SRX IS FRONT WHEEL DRIVE SO IT IS INFERIOR! OH $h!! GM MIGHT AS WELL JUST COMPETE WITH LINCOLN SINCE THE GERMANS NEVER MAKE FWD VEHICLES AND CROSSOVERS! OH $h!! THAT MEANS GM SHOULD MAKE A RWD MODEL THAT WON'T SELL! THAT WILL TOTALLY MAKE THEM COMPETITIVE IN THE MARKET! OH $h!! BUT THAT WOULD MEAN GM WOULDN'T BE ABLE TO SPEND ELEVENTY BILLION DOLLARS ON A S-CLASS COMPETITOR!
  12. Lexus got to the 8-Speed base first, and everybody totally cared, dumped their BMW's and bought LS 460's.
  13. Wear your poppy with pride today, and remember the sacrifices that our forebears made, and of those who still today, continue to quell terror, fear and tyranny.
  14. Awesome!
  15. Perhaps the naming convention for Canadian models differed from the American ones? Likely not, but it may be a possibility. Or the seller just used the popular Fleetwood name to attract more viewers. Either way, that's very nice, and you should really check it out! However, I'd really be concerned about what a half century of Canadian winters have done to it.
  16. Happy Birthday, Dear Leader.
  17. Not really, because the only 'personal-luxury' coupe GM could muster recently was based off of a lousy W-Body, and sucked at pretty much everything, except sucking. If this is a slap in the face, then the Monte Carlo was a triple roundhouse kick to the coin-purse.
  18. Phones sure as hell had better not be that big in the future, or humanity gets lazier yet.
  19. http://www.techspot.com/news/40876-amd-radeon-hd-6970-benchmark-numbers-leaked.html Sweet deal!
  20. I don't think the cast of Doctor Zhivago is the target audience of the Volt. I can't recall the last time I used gloves in my car during a Canadian winter, although I'd appreciate tactile dials over the touch interface anyways.
  21. You obviously have not read either my, or WMJ's Craigslist computer hardware postings.
  22. The reviews on the 6870 are fantastic. But so are nVidia's immediate price cuts to counter the launch. A GTX 470 MSRP'd at 260 US? Yes Please!
  23. Wow, this was a little under the radar! This vehicle is the top-selling CUV in Canada, and this will likely help continue to solidify that position. Looks really nice!
  24. Apparently the unveiling is the 22nd, this Friday. To celebrate, and make myself feel less bad about my soon-to-be obsolete technology, I overclocked my GTX 470 to 480 speeds.
