Wow. This is getting to be a party. I really just hope that Toyota gains some mediocrity from these recalls and loses it's subtle "holier than thou" message. Then maybe I'll regain some respect for them.

Well, I do golf, and to be fair, I'm not exactly partial to Nike's equipment. But to be honest, I don't see or forsee too many people buying shirts with a Buick logo on them, let alone likely paying a premium. Besides, Titleist is awesomer... As for the trunk deal, I guess it is a good reference, but the salesman could maybe also say wheelchair, luggage, stroller and make it sound a little less "product placement"

Yeah it's clever, and it does take aim at bad press and Toyota, but really, appealing to pro-American sentiment can only go so far. In fact, you are often just preaching to the choir. Hopefully, that billboard will soon have an awesome picture of say, a new agressive Zeta four door, or the Camaro.
