    Compass

I almost pissed my pants laughing when I saw the title of the thread, "Compass" and then the word below the title, "Confused." Confused has to be THE perfect word to describe the Compass.
  2. Heh. In my paper, were two Camaro's. One 1968 with a rebuilt V8 for $3500, and a 1969 with a dropped in 454 for $5000. I'd love either one, and could afford the initial costs... ...but realistically, I'd enjoy just leasing the new Camaro... or perhaps a two year old Mustang. :AH-HA_wink:
  3. Hope you dudes had a good one!
  4. Viper platform vehicle? Does this just mean the Viper redesign? Or is there something 'else' that may be on its way. :AH-HA_wink:
  5. Better make one... or I come in third! (Cue Evil Laugh)
  6. Hats off to the General for making a vehicle that a non enthusiast can't be pried out of. If you do get it, a test drive plus pictures would be greatly appreciated Farkas!
  7. Who was this anyway?! Opie and Anthony? If it was, call them up and tell them to f*ck off and put David Lee Roth back on!
  8. Two entries. I'll submit mine then! The worst it can do is come third!
  9. You should move to my parts... There are two Camaro's in my paper. A 1968 with a rebuilt V8 with 88,000 kilometers for $3500, and a 1969 with a 454 dropped in.
  10. Way cool!
  11. Using this criteria, at least 5.5 Billion of the worlds' 6 Billion people are losers.
  12. Whoever did this is a Nerd... They should have at least had the decency to leave their phone number on the windshield... Too bad to hear about that, dude.
  13. From what I understand, they hired a private contractor to perform these tests. Now I was under the impression that all the tests were done in house, in their facilities. I could swear I read in one of my old issues of CR that the editor was gloating about how everything is done in house. Chances are, the policy changed I guess. Perhaps if they did it in house, it may have been better scrutinized. This is a quite a blow to their reputation, considering it seems many people consider them to be flawless, or close to that.
  14. Oh God, I accidentally clicked on this thread again and saw the pictures, and I STILL feel the need to blow chunks.
  15. Your threads like Word Association have turned half this site into post whores. Thanks! I love these blue bars!
  16. You'll want a good song in order to tweak the bass and treble. I suggest a good version of 'Thriller' or Van Halen's 'Everybody Wants Some' preferably in 320kb form. Oh, and find the THX sound test, and crank up the volume! Considering your music is downloaded, I will say this... much of it will likely be 128kb - 196kb, right? If it is, a large system that cranks out good sound, especially bass will likely expose some of the poorer quality mp3's. Just keep that in mind. You may want to spend some time looking for better quality copies of your music. I don't know if your computer is armed with SRS WOW or any sound processing, but if it is... maybe turn it off, or not turn it on. It can make the music sound worse as well.
  17. Rum and Coke. Or go on YouTube and find John Kerry interviews and speeches. Despite whatever political leaning you are, he is still boring.
  18. I watched the news last night, and heard about the Consumer Reports deal about the kiddie car seats... but nothing on this... Strange... I heard about the tailgate recall with the GM trucks, but not this. The tailgate one was serious, and this one is too, perhaps even more serious. I think 'C&G's' "Lewis Black" will have a probable explanation :AH-HA_wink:.
  19. I did, but that was through my receivers 'AUX' input. I changed my input to 'tape' and it canceled out the humming. It would seem strange that Pioneer would let that sound go out, because that's a good quality piece of equipment. Maybe see if that sound comes up when it's hooked to another source, like a CD player. It could be your computer that's sending it it out.
  20. Very interesting... Most Canadian cars have square wheels...
  21. If only it was RWD... than I'd pick the Volt over the Camaro. Electricity does have a butt-load of torque. Either way, I want to see this on the market, and plenty of others do.
  22. You might be able to. Do you have a Radio Shanty in your area, or an electronics store? A Radio Shanty will be the best option. If your 330 Watt system has a 'line in' or inputs a (red/white) at the back, you should be able to make this work. Head to Radio Shanty (or comparable retailer) and find an audio splitter, like this: Hook it the single jack to the rear of your computer, and the red and white jacks to the rear of your audio system. Set the system to what that input would be, for example 'tape' or 'phono' or 'line in,' etc. You should be good to go. Now, I have done this with my computer and have cranked out awesome sound. Plus, I have a Surround Sound processor hooked up to this system, so it can crank out even better sound when I want. You should hear the song 'Thriller' on it! Keep in mind the output from the computer can be wimpy for a large receiver. Make sure your system's volume is cranked up fully, otherwise you may be disappointed.
  23. I guess I kinda fixed it. I was hooked to a router, so I decided to unhook my connection from that router, and am going directly through my modem, with no trouble. I'm not sure why, but that's how it is. CJ may be going through a router too, so perhaps he can solve the problem the same way I did.
