  1. There was some computer jargon thrown in with what the guys at the Toyota shop said about our problem, but it sounds like what you said seems to be the gist of it. It's not really my business. My mom drives it, do my Dad's supposed to be on top of it, but he really hates dealing with the motor. The van has kept a pretty good residual value, and it'll likely be replaced in two years or so with something from a Domestic... perhaps a Chrysler product brought to us by GM :AH-HA_wink:.
  2. ?... I'm not sure how Kia is irrelevant to Hyundai? Hyundai is gradually moving upmarket, and needs to have a low cost player to compete against the likes of Scion, Mitsubishi, Chevrolet/Daewoo's Aveo and others.
  3. 'Iconic American Looks' Isn't that how you DON'T sell to the Europeans? They seem like a fickle bunch. I love the HHR, but I don't have the highest of hopes for it in Europe. It'll likely be a bit too pricey for it's category.
  4. Heh. Our Sienna is having a few problems as well. Something about the fuel injection not working properly, meaning the engine is way underpowered. Last time we listen to Consumer Reports...
  5. I'm sure if this situation were reversed and it was Chrysler looking to pick up GM, there would be plenty of Mopar fans saying similar things, and making of GM's 'sissy' 5.3L. I know it sounds depressing talking about Chrysler being picked apart, with GM taking the spoils, but if GM does acquire the Minivan and Jeep, and perhaps the Caliber, you can be sure that GM will use those vehicles to their full potential and likely give the competition some real heat. That's probably the best ending for Chrysler in this situation.
  6. Holy Schnike!!!
  7. Look, I don't mind Chrysler, and I happen to love the Pacifica and the LX models. But vehicles like the Compass and Sebring go to show that the company seems to be incapable of keeping a good thing going. Even LX's are getting slapped with discounts. The LX's were awesome when they debuted, especially with the HEMI. The problem is, is that the 3.5L isn't exactly the greatest engine in it's class. If Chrysler was smart, they would have spent more time creating a better V6 in anticipation of higher fuel costs and growing environmental concern. GM has made the 3.6L which is winning lots of praise from the press, and is still improving their current V8's. Many of their interiors will either make you cringe or laugh your ass off. I'm not saying Ford or GM are interior gods, but they are certainly much more credible than many of Chrysler's offerings. I don't mind the Caliber, but it's interior is pretty shiesty. Interiors can easily make or break a sale, especially in this day and age. My Dad's side has owned a few Chrysler's, and most have been complete and utter crap.
  8. Perhaps a V6 Camaro or Firebird?
  9. I guess the MP3 file can chalk up another victory.
  10. Replacing HEMI's to make way for LSx's sounds kind of like ripping the heart out of Dodge, and replacing it with some super, bionic, heart apparatus which is programmed to kick ass. Cool!
  11. Malibu.
  12. What happened to these guys?!
  13. I should check that Rolling Stone cover out. I'd have to wash my hands afterwards because I happen to think Rolling Stone is full of pompous grab-asses. There's no doubt that Wolfgang will be a great player. He'll easily be better than Michael Anthony, but that is beside the point. Anthony not only brought up the supporting vocals, but just added to the image and intensity of the band. He's been hammered by the brothers before, starting back in the mid 90's when he wasn't around to play for 'The Best Of: Volume 1' and in '03-'04 when he actually agreed to take royalty cuts just in order to record and tour. I'm seriously wondering if I should even be spending any money on anything Van Halen anymore.
  14. We're a country? My city has been called 'Miami North' a few times. Mostly because of our very profitable drug industry...
  15. I don't have a problem with them acknowledging 50 years of business in North America. What's weird is that they chose to make the Hybrid the recipient of this edition. Why didn't they just offer it as an option on all Camry's? That IS the car that helped get them to where they are today in North America.
  16. Holy F*ckin Sh*t...
  17. 'Jump' by Van Halen.
  18. I could whip out plenty of pictures of current Chrysler products to show people their 'styling' but I don't want to subject people on this site to cruel and unusual torture. That being said, I love the Pacifica and the LX models, especially the Magnum.

  20. I'll give you a 'bump'.
  21. Nice to see some myth-busting from GM. But Toyota will make sure to keep improving the Tundra in any way and every way possible. GM must be diligent to do the same, or soon Toyota will be the one makign the pamphlets.
  22. Default skin. No nonsense.
  23. ROFLMAO
