  1. Analysts are predicting that our dollar will match the Yankees' in a couple years... and then be worth more.
  2. I have a bad feeling that Chinese Democracy is going to be another over-ambitious, over-produced, over-done album(s)... or in other words, another 'Use Your Illusion' . It sounds as if Chinese Democracy will be full of 'epics' in the vein of November Rain and Breakdown, and to me, that makes me think Axl has joined RUSH. Speaking of RUSH... their new album is tiding me over nicely. Now THAT's hard rock.
  3. I actually thought that movie blew, but I think it was just because it had Julia Roberts.
  4. I only drink milk from the carton if it's 1L, because that's a serving for me; and I'll only do it at work, because we throw professionalism out the window.
  5. What does a 'metal dude' look like?... These guys? http://www3.telus.net/sjdj/img007.jpg Right off my TFFL album too!
  6. Unfortunately, I accidentally wandered into a nest of Emo's earlier yesterday... in my basement. Some dudes my brother knows are all into that stuff... and the music they had on sucked. However, my speakers are bigger than theirs, and I figured it was time to spin 'Out of the Cellar' They hate me now.
  7. Are those prices for the midline models? We're discussing the R/T... and what I understand, the R/T is comparably cheaper than competitors. And fair enough DF... I haven't driven the damn thing. But by reading the reviews, it seems like I'd be better off spending a half hour watching porn, instead of test driving the Avenger. At least the porn won't make me feel all dirty inside. The car does have some attitude, and I credit Dodge with trying, and I don't mind the exterior at all. It's just the car the company was showing off had some bad panel gappage. Nothing that would be cause for alarm... but it refelects poorly on the build quality, and shows people that the Dodge is just cheaper car. I love Chrysler's LX models, and I'd pick up a Charger or Magnum in a hearbeat, it's not as if I'm a biased asshole. I used to love Dodge believe it or not. When I was little, ever since I saw Twister, I wanted a Ram. The Van Halen tracks on the movie helped too . I was amazed by the Chrysler 300, and I have two posters of the current Charger. So really, when Dodge builds GOOD vehicles, I'm a fan. They don't have to even be at the top of any comparison test for me to love them. But the Avenger is garbage, and deserves to be much better.
  8. I was listening to Poison's 'Unskinny Bop' on the bus... and then Hollyweird kicked in... Jarring...
  9. The interior, and the ill fitting panel gaps on the driver-side of the show car. But the interior is what got me the most. I don't have the highest expectations when it comes to interiors. I drive a seventeen year old truck, so once again, I'm generally a man of simple tastes when it comes to vehicle interiors... As long as it is easy to use, doesn't look cheesy, and suits the price point, I'm a happy camper. So when I sit in a new vehicle, and laugh out loud, you know you have a problem. The R/T's interior just felt 'cheap' . The Calibre's interior is just as bad, but it's a cheaper vehicle, so it's forgivable. I was given a chance to test it, but why bother? If they did a $h!ty job with the interior/exterior, what will the powertrain be like?
  10. Aren't they all potheads at Dell?
  11. Drums are definately flatter sounding today. But the 80's were about bombast, and awe, and that got lost after the Seattle Grunge movement.
  12. Just by reading the CNN report, I can already tell that Toyota is getting a little more critically scrutinized. Good.
  13. That means you haven't seen any of the good threads yet.
  14. I will constructively add that the Avenger, even in R/T form, is a pile of crap.
  15. I sat in the back seat of an R/T and I instantly felt my net-worth plummet.
  16. I like Hard Rock/Driving Rock/Melodic Rock... but I hate the Heavy Metal of the present day. I can't understand what all these alt-rock, death-metal singers are even saying.
  17. The flexible screen is useful... Can't say the same about the coffee table/computer thinger.
  18. I'd rather see Toyota push them back. It might give the Domestics some courage to fight back as well.
  19. Cause a sucker is born every minute? How else can you explain hybrid sales?
  20. Well, he does. But when GM actually earns it. In this case... unless the Chevy Lambda is significantly different than its platform-mates, GM doesn't deserve any real praise.
  21. I'm surprised. This is posted on Cheers & Gears, and it involves Consumer Reports and Condoms... and yet there are only eight replies...
  22. After what we have seen from Katrina, I really, really doubt America could secure itself against it's own population in the event such a far reaching 'directive' were put into place.
