  1. Thank you! Exactly my point. It seems @oldshurst442 have difficulty understanding that.
  2. @oldshurst442 Again nobody claims it is a documentary and the points you made are not that significant, it probably was a number of reasons why Ferrari did what he did. Also, MotorTrend review points out to many inaccuracies too. My point was that according to the first reviews (not just from Motor Trend) the movie should be great, it tells the overall story very well and it is a great racing movie. Also, the simple fact remains that a simple "chicken farmer" kicked Ferrari's @ss.

  4. Everyone has some biases, and automotive journalists have them to some degree too. But to say that car magazines choose one car over another just because of advertising money or some hidden payouts I think is just wrong.
  5. How is it only waiving American flag. Ford and Shelby are American but Ken Miles was English, and Shelby thought he was the best man for the job. Plus the car was developed in England. Secondary, all this happened in real life, regardless how it is presented in the movie, Ford vs Ferrari battle DID happened, and it seems the movie presented it closely to the facts known to everyone at this point.
  6. He doesn't believe anyone unless he saw it with his own eyes or hear it with his own ears. He doesn't believe any car or non-car publications either Anyway, from what I have read the story in the movie is pretty close to what really happened with some small deviations to make it a "movie", it is not a documentary after all.
  7. I am going to take my whole family to see it. Can't wait ?
  8. Would you buy it with your own money if you were on the market for such crossover? How it accelerates in CX-5 (vs CX-9)? Turbo lag noticeable? Is active safety overly annoying and interfering?
  9. EVs eventually will have transmissions (look at Porsche). In order to put smaller motors and increase efficiency they will start putting at least 2-3 speed transmissions.
  10. I think maybe because we all saw how it looks without the cladding and it is so much better. Other models with cladding do not have anything to compare it too.
  11. I have driven manuals all my life, just recently got a daily driver with automatic. I love the manuals and they make the daily commute grind much more entertaining (unless your commute is in traffic). However, I definitely agree that hard to beat the convenience and performance of modern auto transmissions. Despite that I think it is hard to beat the enjoyment of driving a sports car with manual. Personally, I get way more satisfaction driving energetically car with manual transmission, than driving performance car with auto, even though auto might be slightly faster.
  12. Personally, I said that it doesn't look good to me period, not just the cladding which is pretty bad. And I am usually a fan of Mazda design. Regal would look 100 times better without stupid cladding as can be seen on the European model.
  13. Motor Trend's 2019 Best Drivers Car ranking: 12. Toyota GR Supra 11. Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat Redeye 10. BMW M850i XDrive Coupe 9. Lamborghini Urus 8. Bentley Continental GT V8 7. Aston Martin DBS Superleggera 6. Mercedes-AMG GT 63 S 5. McLaren Senna 4. Jaguar XE SV Project 8 3. BMW M2 Competition 2. Ford Mustang Shelby GT350 1. Porsche 911 Carrera S Man, I really want that Shelby ...
  14. Actually while I like the looks of all the current Mazda vehicles, I am not fan of this one. I think Mazda could do better. Will see what the final specs will be, hopefully decent.
  15. How the hell it has to do ANYTING with X2? So for $40k you can get Golf R that most likely will be much faster (less power but 400lbs lighter) and has about as much room inside.
  16. I think they ugly, not practical (which croosovers supposed to be) and just stupid IMO. However, my wife when she saw one that it looks "cool". I seriously considered divorce at that point... However, I guess they do appeal to some people.
  17. @Drew Dowdell So when we are going to see pictures of your new motorcycle?
  18. @dfelt Your Trailblazer looks great for the year/mileage it is!
  19. Small print: Must be a current owner or lessee of a Ford Mustang for at least 30 days prior to the new vehicle sale. Not available with lease and some other offers. Take new retail delivery by 10/31/19. See dealer for details.
  20. Family trip to Florida, overall driving close to 2400 miles. I have to say Adaptive Cruise Control is awesome if the road is not too busy. Used it a lot.
  21. It looks to me that most of the time GM fanboys usually get kind of touchy ... But what do I know, right now my family car park has only Asian cars. So I am probably anti-American, un-patriotic asshole anyway
  22. Wow, that went downhill pretty fast I am not a truck guy but on looks alone I wouldn't touch new Silverado with a stick, just my personal opinion Numbers look pretty bad for most automakers, good for GM and few others doing good, I am surprised to be honest
  23. I got my wife couple weeks ago a new car which has the smartphone integration. My dad got her old car and I got his 2016 Mazda 6. Luckily for me Mazda made infotainment back compatible with Carplay/Android Auto starting from 2016 (software upgrade and new USB port). Upgrade is not cheap (up to $400, depending on the dealer, I paid $375) but IMO totally worth it.
  24. Finally both my wife's car and mine have Carplay/Android Auto. After using it for the last week or so, who in the right mind will go back to using OEM navigation/infotainment system? Car manufacturers are moron for resisting it for so long and wasting money developing their own systems. Thankfully more and more seem to see the light and switching to either Android or Apple based infotainment systems.
  25. It seems that thing happens a lot at that level of management.
