I am looking forward for the abomination of NV200 to disappear from the streets of New York. One of the worst decisions that were forced on NYC. NV1500/3500 on the other hand while quite ugly, is a good, tough and reliable work horse because it is based on the Titan. My friend has one.

Once you rode NYC subway system, I think you can pretty much handle any other subway in the world

I like it a lot. That infotainment system seems like a huge improvement on the previous dual screen system. My wife's car has it and I hate it. They do drive very nice, so that's a huge plus. Also, Acurawatch safety system is not very intrusive like on some other vehicles.

Monmouth, used to live in Middlesex. I commute to PA, I work not too far from Trenton on PA side. But I used to work in the North Jersey, so I have been up and down plenty, local roads, Garden State parkway, NJ Turnpike etc. I always had long commute. Yes, unfortunately state is very densely populated, except maybe the southern part.
-
I live in NJ as well, while it is true that there is a lot of volume usually, but when the roads are not that busy almost no one bothers to get out of the left lane. People drive for miles on the empty roads in the left lane forcing right lane passing. I would say at least 90% of drivers are like that.
-
Unfortunately North East is pretty much the same. I have to say overall in US the idea of the left lane for passing only is practically non-existent.

If you keep making these kind of claims, I have one of my own. For the last 6 years I was putting Costco gas in my G37S and I drove it for over 150k miles in those years (I was putting about 29k miles a year). The car has now over 190k miles. Engine still runs great. So lets agree to disagree on Costco gas.
-
Saying "all truth" doesn't make it so. Care to provide anything to back up your claims? Besides "any good mechanic will tell you", because this is a bull statement. Just for our education.

Started watching it as well. Not as funny as I thought it will be but I like how they make fun of pretty much everyone.

Our honeymoon (many years ago) was a 5 day tour around Greece and 3 or 4 days on Santorini. Santorini was gorgeous, white and blue houses on black volcanic rock. I rented a tiny car and one of the memorable things we did there was when we had a restaurant reservation on the other side of the island to watch a sunset and we were running late, so I really put the pedal to the metal scaring the hell out of my wife. We made the sunset Athens and Meteora monastery were very interesting, the rest of famous Greek places, like Olympia for example, was just ok, not that much left there. Unfortunately this year all our plans are cancelled, unlikely will go anywhere. Were supposed to go to Montreal in July and that is cancelled as well. At best will go somewhere local.

@Robert Hall Great pictures! We have been at Amalfi Coast 2 years ago, it is beautiful. I was considering renting a car just so I could drive on those roads but the parking in those villages is basically non-existent, so didn't want to bother. I loved Rome, would like to go back and I would like to see the north of Italy. I guess due to FCA there is surprising amount Jeeps, mostly some Grand Cherokees and a lot of Renegades.

You mean destroying beautiful old buildings to make wide roads so people could drive their big ugly crossovers? Sure ...

I have been in Italy. Except highways, driving that RAM will be like driving semi in NYC

2013 Mustang GT Premium 2017 MX-5 Miata Club (preferably RF if I could find for $20k) 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland 2004 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 2015 Nissan Xterra Pro-4X If I could choose only one for my money, it probably would be between Miata and Z06. Z06 is more desirable but for $20k it is bottom of the barrel and the maintenance on it would be very expensive. Considering the hard times I probably would go with the Miata, very fun car, cheap to insure and maintain.

So since there is not much auto news going on lets do something fun besides arguing why brand X is better than brand Y Since the economy is tanking and hard times are coming for everyone, lets do the dream car garage on the budget. Here are the rules: Choose five cars/trucks you will spend up to $20k. Which means each car/truck should not cost over $20k. Give up to 5 choices and say which one, out of the five you would choose now with your own money.

This is hilarious, and I think very spot on

Saying that because E-class is used in limo or taxi and therefore it is not luxury it is the same thing can be said regarding Cadillac and Lincoln, which actually used a lot as fleet vehicles.
-
This list is for the US market. I don't believe I have seen too many E-class here used as taxi or fleet vehicles, as a matter of fact almost never.
