  1. AGAIN thanks to everyone for the warm welcome!!! :CG_all: <--- thats funny to me hehe. and as a matter of fact the grill i speak of does involve body color surround with the mesh (painted body color as well) and the eyebrows molded down over the headlights and into the grill at an angle. Will look very very nice.... ! I cant wait to be finished. As soon as i get over this illness i have fallen to i will be able to work on it a little more! Hopefully i will have new photos soon... -Kaylan Marie p.s. the URGE to buy a saab is sometimes UNCONTROLLABLE. haha. i had 3 at one point and i was only 17  .... yeah you dont want to see our yard....
  2. The 9000 was designed with the alfa rameo 164 and a lancia... not sure what model... i dont remember... i do have some photos... but dont want to dig them up.... its different if you all desighn a platform together... then if one automaker makes it... then big GM says they have to share... so another company uses it and makes another car with it and re-badges it. haha yeah that would be mine.... its baby blue.... very very pretty!!! i miss it so much  it was in perfect condition!! -Kaylan Marie i think saab needs to come out with a car thats totally un-practical and has a crap load of power. :AH-HA_wink: just kidding.... but ahh it would be nice...
  3. thanks again to everyone for the welcome! i should have some new photos sometime next week...? after i put on my European headlights and finish the grill i am working on :AH-HA_wink:
  4. Ive got some nice beemer storys B) thanks for the compliments. Ive got alot of upgrades coming over the next year.... suspension im going to go with koni shocks and some abbott racing sport springs... the car is going to hopefully hit the 400hp mark during the next year? thats what the goal is... after i get my new performance transmission in it will be able to handle getting that much power... i also have alot to do to the exterior as well. Im going to be in cali sometime this coming summer... going to be driving down and meeting up with one of the saab clubs down there... maybe we could meet up and go for a drive? -Kaylan Marie
  5. Yeah i know.... they did HUGE changes in the 9-2x as well... but still wasnt ever excepted as a saab. its a subaru no matter what you do to it... its an awesome car and i love driving them and you could get a GREAT deal on a new one... but still.... i think every saab should be designed by saab. sure borrow a part every now and then... but stop crossing brands... just to get in on the market of a certain sized vehicle at the right time.
  6. MORE PICTURES!
  7. well said. If i had to drive an SUV (like if i had kids) i would like to have a saab... however.... its still a trailblazer itsnt it? :o
  8. I think this might speak alot to GM though.... showing that they have the attention of a young community right now.... I mean they always want to market to people our age (and im saying this being a 15-20 yr old.... and the poll shows right now its the majority at 33% or so) So now maybe they should listen to the veiws being spoken on the site and they will get to the younger gen. more. (im 18... 4.30.87) -Kaylan Marie
  9. My car was around $45,000 US new and its a 4cyl  AND WORTH EVERY PENNY!!! :) It depends on what you like... how much your willing to pay.... id pay more then that now if i could get my car manufactured new again. Only thing i would change would it would be AWD :AH-HA_wink: -Kaylan Marie
  10. I agree.... I think saab deffinately need AWD.... however they need to develope there own system and not use subarus.... AWD would be great for us saab tuners.... i know i could REALLY use it in my AERO.... i mean FWD can burn out quite a bit and WRX's really kill me off the line. :worthless: -Kaylan Marie Also they needed to not stop making parts for some of the old saabs. Like windsheild rubber for the old 99's.... alot of people still need those and they just recently stopped production. My dad could use like 3... hell our club out here could use probably 100 :(
  11. Well to start off the topic... i think they should stop crossing over brands... and leave saab to its original "roots" i mean they are "born from jets" not subarus, or trailblazers. :chevy:
  12. Please leave this topic to people who own saabs, or have owned them in the past, or who have other ties to the Saab brand. We have had some discussions like this on other forums... now i think we should bring it to the GM forum board.... :CG_all: -Kaylan Marie
  13. My stock wheels are back on (for winter of course) so the ones in the lower pictures are on at the moment... i know it doesnt look as flashy like that but who cares... it saves my nice rims from getting beat up in the bad winter weather...! Thanks to everyone for the nice welcome. There are a few GREAT modded saabs who have just recently registered on this forum. I have a feeling you will be seeing us posting around a bit more now. We got wind that people didnt know to much about these great cars on this forum so we thought we would stop in and show our rides off a bit. Nothing wrong with that... right? =) My gas mileage right now is around 23-25MPG. Could be alot better if i didnt drive like a maniac everywhere i go. my 0-60 stock time is around 6.5 so i assume it would be alot lower then that now. Some projects i am working on right now are making a new custom grill... and front body kit... with an opening in the front to see the intercooler. We will see how that works out. Id also like to make more body lines around the fog lights. Maybe push them back a little bit... and frame them? Then a CF hood.... and new paint on the whole front end. No i dont have ALOT of money. I work very hard for everything i do for my car. Modifying a saab is nope cheap in any way. Parts are very expensive and shipping each part from europe doesnt help in any way. Alot of things we do to our cars is done ourselves or by other friends in the community. Alot of work goes into changing a saab. Its worth every second and every penny i have ever spent on it though! -Kaylan Marie
  14. Hello i am new to the forums and thought i would post a up a picture or two. Here is my 1997 saab 9000 aero. Doing about 270 HP right now out of my 2.3L 4cyl Turbo charged engine. I have alot of new things planned for my car in the near future. My goal for this next year is to go over 400HP.! -Kaylan Marie
  15. The combi's are VERY nice cars. We have one at home in our driveway. Same color blue and everything!!! They are very sporty and fun to drive. My mom even feels it drives better then the regular 9-3 (even though its the same car) because of the different weights distrabution. The only thing i dont like about the interior is the stearing wheel.... id rather not have to hold my hands in the exact right position all of the time..... (in the backround of the top picture you can see a new H-3 as well!) -Kaylan Marie
