hahahaha this thread makes me laugh. The 9-2x is not in production after the 06 model year. They f@#ked up joining with subaru to build the 9-2x (and thats all GM's fault) It came out being a sweet car though. Personally i thought it was way better then Subaru's version of it. It was classyer looking and the different weight distribution saab added to it made the whole car handle and stick to the road way better then the subaru's did. They should have never ever made a non aero 9-2x though because no one wants a non-turbo saab, especially when its just a re-badge of another car. Saab is a FWD car and speaking for most, if not all saab tuners we wish that they would have made our cars in AWD, but then they would be a completely different car and my car would NOT be the car that i own and love to tune. The weight with AWD on a 9000 like mine (the model the 9-5 evolved from for those who dont know) would have ruined the car. Theres nothing wrong with a 5dr car weighing over 3,000lbs that can out accelerate a ferrari testerosa and a porche carrera 4 from 60-100mph stock. FWD or not, saabs are an impressive car. Saabs dont need to be AWD, there are other brands, like subaru to cover that. The problem with all of you, and all of GM is that you want to have 20 brands all with a line of products that are close if not exactly the same vehicle. Saab does not need a full line of AWD cars like subaru. They do not need a full line of SUV's like cadillac. What saab needs to be is left alone. They are quirky turbocharged cars that can be used as a large family car or a fast sports car. They dont need more products, they need better advertising. Why dont they advertise on the turbo? Why dont they advertise on safety when volvo markets there safety, and saab is proven safer. Why dont they advertise on interior space? Instead were advertising on our "born from jets" BS? who cares what we built before cars, sure it influenced design a lot and its an awesome story but thats no way to sell cars. but thats my two cents. Own a saab and love it and you will understand. -Kaylan Marie :AH-HA_wink:

Saab Aero X: Official Release
Aerodynamic replied to CSpec's topic in Geneva International Motor Show
to bad everyone in the saab community loves it! -Kaylan Marie -
your all so worried about saab needed a huge selection of cars... but with the 900 series in production for like 20 years (and very succesful) and then the 9000 line in production for at least 12... they dont need a HUGE selection of cars but a very HIGH quality line on product to offer its customers... id rather have 2 GREAT cars to choose between then a line of 15 cars that are almost exactly the same that will have an oil leak before it hits 40k... saabs are luxary... not selection... although i wouldnt ever have any trouble finding one i like... now they have an AWD... an SUV... a convt... and the 9-3 combi for a smaller family wagon... the 9-5 wagon for a larger one... a 9-5 for a 4 door family car that has a sporty side... and then the 9-3 that you can get in 2 doors for just a sporty luxary fun car.

Geneva Preview: More Details Uncovered on Saab
Aerodynamic replied to Variance's topic in SAAB / NEVS
the sonetts are beautyful cars! we have 3 in our garage right now i think... well we might be down to an orange one and a blue one... they are awesome fiberglass sports cars... i think the best saab concept ever was the EV-1 but they never produced the 300hp sports car in the 80's because they thought people would want a more "family sedan" so they scraped it and built the 9000 Aero at 225 hp ... and the ev-1 would have been sweet! i guess i shouldnt complain because if they did produce it i probably wouldnt have my aero! -KM -
The guys at my work (saab cadillac hummer dealersihp) say: "your supposed to be at home making muffins, not car parts" HAHA i thought that was 'cute' -Kaylan Marie :)

*welcome* I just home that GM doesnt take all of saabs unique-ness and spread it across GM so that ALL of there other cars have all of the "saabish" things too... and then saab has nothing more to offer there customers... ah well we will see -Kaylan Marie -
i wasnt a fan of the eyebrows i had so thats why i made a grill with them molded in... it looks wayyyy better! :)

i am a huge saab fan and i hate the new 9-5.... i mean yes it looks very mean... but its uglyer then anything ive ever seen!! and i like all of the buttons my car has... mine has i think wayyyyyyy more then any of the newer saabs... people get in and cant believe how many buttons there are.... but when its your car and everything is adjusted to your liking its awesome to have everything set and its not distracting at all.... ive never almost gotten into a wreck by adjusting anything! -Kaylan Marie

It doesnt seem right to me that GM had much to do with the 9000.... The last model of the 9000 came into production in 1993 (and was in production until 98).... if i recal correctly GM bought out half of saab in 1995... thats 2 years later The body never changed any after 93. Maybe GM had something to do with the 9000 they had in 1998 (had wheels with bolts exposed and other minor changes... all of them had the aero engine and so on) Maybe they also had some influence on minor changes such as: On my 97 the door handels are different... window switches... stearing wheel... in dash sterio is changed... cup holder in the middle of the back armrest.... Maybe you know more on this then me but i am interested.! I was fully aware of the shared platform and the 'type 4' project. but if you have anymore information on what GM influenced on the 9k i would be glad to hear it and learn more! -Kaylan Marie :CG_all: -
yeah people that test drive a saab normally buy one... alot of statistics on that one! people just LOVE the way they drive. I know i sure do! And my speedo dims with all the other dash lights... they turn completely off... if i turn them off and my headlights off at night i cant see shit! Its fun when im following someone infront of me... and i also have no idea how fast im going.... only bad thing is that i cant see what RPM i am at... so i just have to feel what gear i should be in -Kaylan Marie

Even my speedometer will dim =) makes it fun driving fast

We got the first one into our dealership about a month ago... we put the European tail lights on (clear not red like U.S. spec ones) and it looks awesome.... i dont know why it says jan 06... we all got them WAY before that! =)
