Is Ford Motor Company Falling a Step Behind Rival General Motors?

I have never tried to maintain that Ford needed no help. -

Not at all Drew. You claimed Ford was second to Toyota in benefiting from that program. The fact is, it was GM, not Ford. Correcting misinformation is not irrelevant -

Toyota 19.4% General Motors 17.6% Ford 14.4% And it was GM 2nd to Toyota, not Ford. -
Says the guy who inserts Lincoln, a company not even mentioned in the article, into the thread. Typical SJW. Do as I say, not as I do.

Throughout my life, I've had a 2x CR80R, CR125R, 3x CR250R and the damn freak me out CR500R... Oh wait, wrong thread. Sure, its just CR...but once again, in another reliability survey, FCA divisions dead last.

Amen. Reading that had me searching for where C/D " discovered " these " ringer rubbers ". -
And " up to 11k " wouldn't be an easy task to qualify for. Things like " must be member of 4H Club, VFW, or had a Flu shot within the past month "... Chevy counts the same way. As does Ram, as does GMC When you see " Silverado Sept Sales are XX,XXX, or YTD " etc etc. they include 1500/2500/3500.
-
FYI there is some " fine print ". A total incentive package of up to $11,115 on its 2016 Chevy Silverado 1500 Crew Cab LT All Star The kickbacks are for only one trim of Silverado 1500

Nice looking trucks!

Insist on comparing Silverado to the F Series and Ram lineup? I suppose one should maybe read the attached link in the OP. Is 24/7 wall st insisting too? As there is NO mention of the GMC Sierra either. Its about the Chevy brand doubling their incentives. And last I saw, the Silverado also has different trim lvls, 1/2 ton, 3/4 ton, though noticeably not a Raptor, like Ford, like Ram, too. Was it the Dealers web site, or Cheverolet.com promoting the 11k incentives? Either way, unless there's some " fine print " ( stating the Silverado HAD to be on the lot ATM, certain dates, trims etc ) the ammo is in the gun and you need to play hard ball.

Not a surprise at all. The Silverado is down 4% YTD ( Ford up 6% with FCA up 8% ), and a whooping 16% for the month of September. With no lowering or stoppage in production, inventory is mounting and collecting dust. Therefore increase incentives ( like GM did with the growing Camaro inventory - a 139 supply heading into September ) to try and save face.

That is looking down on Vancouver B.C. from Cypress Mountain - Home of the 2010 Olympic winter Games. FYI, I did not take the pic. Then theres this PhotoShopped one from Cypress too. One pic is on each of my monitors.

Ford/Mercury did make a Mercury Comet ( Cyclone ) version of the '64 Thunderbolt Fairlane. " For 1964, Ford produced about 50 ultra-high performance lightweight Comet Cyclones, equipped with their racing two-carburetor 427 engine, similar to their cousin, the Ford Thunderbolt. To avoid competing with each other, the Thunderbolts ran in Super Stock on 7-inch (180 mm) tires, but the Cyclones were modified to run in A/FX on 10-inch (250 mm) tires, where they were as dominant as the Thunderbolts were in Super Stock. Drivers included Ronnie Sox, Don Nicholson and Wild Bill Shrewsberry in conjunction with Jack Chrisman. Shrewsberry still owns his original 427 Comet in Caliente trim. "

I haven't read that Chinese auto mfg's have to set up joint ventures here in NA. You know, like the laws stipulate foreign auto companies must do in China. When Beijing allowed foreign carmakers to set up shop in China in early 1980s, it wanted to make sure they didn’t kill off the nascent domestic industry. Foreign companies were required to enter into joint ventures with local manufacturers and to share technology with them. Each foreign carmaker is allowed to partner with up to two local groups in joint ventures.

Besides the rims, just like my old Comet ( mine was a teal Caliente, warmed over 351W and rims like the convert below )

I love that pictures angle. It really compliments the rear haunches ( doesn't seem correct, but I think thats the word i'm looking for ). -

Same here. And for the reason ccap states...Superior drivers car. And let me add its easier to make the M4 quicker in a straight line and run with a Hellcat than it is to make the Hellcat quicker in the turns with constant fade free braking and run an M4. -
That'll stink for the States when Clintons " Open Borders " has Iranian terrorists easily slipping in and setting off EMP's so the Feds and PD's can't pursue them to their actual target(s)

A couple years ago, dirt biking up in the Sooke Hills, I came across a Suzuki Samurai with an exoskeleton roll cage. Sure, I've seen this style of cage before, but this one was much different... It was a hemisphere cage from front to rear and side to side. i was told 2 guys could roll the thing back on its feet.

Its still all relative though. Adding 10% to a 1.6L diesel ( Renault ) is only adding 160cc.. GM of europe small diesel will be 1.8L They're not ditching tiny engines for " large displacement " Large displacement in Europe is what, like a 2.5L?
