  1. Silverado/Sierra sales are up, despite the Colorado/Canyon being on the showroom floors with them. GM is looking pretty smart right about now. The market-share gains alone are insane.
  2. So... I hear I've had my pee-pee slapped over in MT
  3. Sounds like BMW is following Cadillac's lead *L* Gotta love the new normal.
  4. "It's a shame for the Blue Oval then, that it can't build all the trucks it needs because frame supplier Metalsa isn't delivering enough frames. Neither Ford nor Metalsa has said what the problem is, but Ford employees are at Metalsa's Kentucky plant trying to get it sorted out, Automotive News reports. "Overtime shifts at the Dearborn Truck Plant and the Kansas City Assembly Plant have been canceled due to the shortage that's been a problem for at least two months now. The issue is exacerbated by this being the changeover period in production from the old model to the new, which comes with its own issues. That would help explain why even though Dearborn production finished ramping up in January, output in April was down 9.2 percent compared to last year, according to AN. "Transaction prices are up for the new truck, but overall F-150 production in Q1 was down 40 percent, and missing product means missing profits. Combined with the production drop for the new Ford Edge, the company's Q1 bottom line was robbed of $1 billion." http://www.autoblog.com/2015/05/30/ford-f-150-production-frame-shortage/#conversation
  5. It ain't camping until you see a man chasing a bear through the woods with an ax.
  6. It's good to read cool stuff like this again. After seeing what GM was able to do with this platform I'd be shocked if the Alpha is anything less that class-leading right out of the box. And yes, I'm still holding out hope for some type of 7.0L smallblock going under the hood at some point.
  7. My first car was a five-speed Chevette. You guys have nothing to feel bad about.
  8. My first quote in this thread? That's OLD news, man. Over and done with, because immediately after I posted it, Admin posted this: After that I just asked him a question. So again: stay on topic, please
  9. If you want me to keep it on topic, then clearly I wasn't referring to you. Right?
  10. I've seen prison movies. Without getting into details, you can still carry a smartphone without wearing pants.
  11. On a totally relevant note, and with an eye to doing that... what is the forum policy on one poster having multiple accounts? I was PMed by a guy who had concerns about a poster he thought may be doing it.
  12. I own a Laramie Longhorn, so I can say with a fair bit of confidence that the Denali's interior can't measure up to it. The leather in the seats and open-pore wood trim are amazing, and on models with the eight-speed the aluminum shifter knob's knurled surface and real aluminum make it feel like a million bucks. The touchscreen and nav are also really good, but the nav itself does tend to send you down backroads an awful lot out in the prairies. Also, some of the plastic is a bit hard and not convincing as aluminum trim. However, there's more to life than dashboard fondling, and having seen what the 6.2/8-speed can do in an Escalade I'll admit to being a bit envious. My Hemi is adequate, but no more than that at this stage. As for the ride, it looks like GM decided to ditch the automotive style AWD in favor of a more truckish setting for the underpinnings. It makes sense, but again I'm left wondering why no airbag springs, like the Longhorn. Nice review overall, thanks for posting it.
  13. Anyways... Here we are talking about thread derailments and ruined forums when the title of the thread is "Wings Is in the House." Let's keep it on topic
  14. What happened was Casa approached them about doing a C&G style Monthly Sales Roundup because they kinda had a sloppy, "post whatever you find" policy. So they decided to give it a go. The results are now in their Locked Thread section for anyone who cares to go over and see the result. They have not encouraged us to do it again since.
  15. While it's refreshing to see that you're not even bothering to defend your PR efforts once someone points out that they are not based in reality, the sheer joy you get out of merely being here indicates that this was your true intent all along. Not so subtle, is what I'm saying. Now: onward! Ya, I saw that. MT had to close theirs down because of the trolling.
  16. I took the Laramie out for a quick grocery run. Later this evening I'll be dropping the top on the Grand Sport and chasing an Alberta sunset.
  17. Sales are down by large amounts across the board, with the exception of the Navigator, which is getting thrashed by the Escalade in sales and reviews anyhow. Your opinions do not jive with the facts.
  18. It looks like one of the pigs from Angry Birds trying to pick up someone at a singles bar.
  19. Northern Alberta. Needless to say, I work in the oil and gas industries.
  20. Recalls no longer seem to influence public opinion a whole lot. In the case of the Mustang it's more a matter of the public's acceptance of the EB drivetrain rather than any recalls it garners. Same thing for the Lincolns in question-at worst, the recalls just reinforce the press and public's overall disinterest in the product.
  21. I do not have high hopes, let's put it that way.
  22. If they could get the AWD to handle the torque the Hellcat version would be an epic holeshot machine.
  23. LOL.. This is the guy that they were talking about. Prepare to be bombarded with Blue Oval BS to the point of nausea.. Truth or Lies.. to Wings.. it makes no difference. I wonder how many accounts he has besides this one.
