  1. I have a well-earned rep for enjoying mindless stupidity, so I managed to get by
  2. Re. hyperV6: I don't think Buick needs to rebuild, at least not in the same way Cadillac currently is. Just keep updating the product, give it good differentiation in size, and get the odd stroke of luck/genius with innovation (hello, Encore!). And an Omega coupe. Because of course Omega coupe.
  3. "Vee mek CAHRS, herr Balthazzar, nicht panzerbarrels!!!"
  4. I got one of those once. I think it's just a software thing. Unless it was a downvote, then it's been disabled. Minions was an ok movie, but the premise is a bit flimsy to stretch over a feature-length film.
  5. What is 'whoop on thing'? You always point to sales charts as 'evidence' of the better vehicle, but 1977 (or 1987) s-class U.S. sales are not going to support that argument well. Neither is the actual s-class from that period, it was horribly finished, equipped & powered. The mere existence of the 7-Series is proof positive that the S-Class hasn't always "whooped along," especially in the early 90s when even the Germans ridiculed Mercedes-Benz for making the car too fat.
  6. You get one point for that. I'm getting myself one Advil.
  7. Maybe. But the spark plug company bearing that name might want in on the dollars end of it.
  8. Alcohol is great fun for when you want your arms to go all numb so you can smash them off the table like overcooked spaghetti and not feel it. I'm told.
  9. The CT6 will excel as a product. I do think it'll face a bit of an uphill climb in sales and perception (elsewhere I had it pegged at 8-12,000 sales in the U.S. per year initially). But to suggest it's going to get eaten alive is patently absurd.
  10. Insane times, especially so for a front-engine, RWD car. That's less than a second off a LaFerrari, which as we all know has a price disadvantage.
  11. Had a service department guy do that to my Longhorn two winters ago. Not fun.
  12. I'm more of a product guy, but both of those categories deserve notice, for sure.
  13. Aside from the industry-wide trend in car growth, it would be he only logical way for them to insert the Adam into the lineup without having the Regal/Verano size issues they currently have. How so? The Adam is a mini car, the size of the Spark. I'm fairly sure the next-gen one won't be.

  15. It is cloudy. I am tired. But days off are coming, which means that Ant-Man is coming.
  16. Mazda is doing the heavy lifting in this one. Mopar will be getting lots of (almost certainly) good press for next to nothing. Which is good, because now they've gotta get that Giulia platform spread around. I still see poor mgmt and leadership. Build the best with the model lines they have and then with quality expand the model line. Sadly FCA is being ruined by the Italian idiots at the top. Would have been better to let Chrysler go to an American investment group who could focus on what they have then let Fiat buy them. There was no such American suitor in '08. And as someone else mentioned, Cerberus wasn't exactly a kindly overseer. I'm not drinking Sergio's Kool-Aid by any means, but he's pretty clever with being able to get inexpensive attention.
  17. Enjoy your vacation. I'm sorry that you felt the need to implement this. But sadly, it is what it is.
  18. CUVs are becoming the family sedans of the modern era so from that perspective this makes perfect sense. It'll be interesting how they style it-more specifically, if they give it a corporate look, or if they try variations on a styling theme like the new Cruze/Malibu.

  20. At this stage of the game I believe that this fuel system is a dead-end, unless Elon Musk or someone of his ilk decides to pony up for the infrastructure. In all honesty, gasoline isn't "broken," so why would you want to do differently?
  21. Kia. Only half-joking.
  22. Turnips. That is all
  23. This one's for Olds: Trans-Am. Or Trans-Ain't.
  24. *L* if I took my Vette to the strip now I'd be arrested for grand theft auto. I traded it in for my new truck a couple months ago.
  25. I'll give them props for having the concept down cold. But you need to sweat the details as well. Sounds like they haven't done it here.
