  1. WRX? Whut aboot Focus RS/Golf R?
  2. can't fall asleep yet
  3. Hmmm, but you actually get a car with the Fiesta. With the Fiat 500 you get a 2 seater pod with 2 padded handbag perches.
  4. Can't fall asleep yet, so I'll just post the results of my set workout. First time I actually finished. Now the targets were always ambitious, but now I can actually say I only took the break intervals pre-planned for the set, so otherwise I was sweating it out. So many planks
  5. Actually there's a better pocket rocket, and it's from Ford, the Fiesta ST. It handles better, has a nicer interior (though devoid of charm) and has more space. And even if it costs more, probably has better resale and reliability by a fair margin. Please do edumicate me on the last two, if I'm totally wrong.
  6. I think this is better looking than the Cherokee, and oddly enough it's not really that far away in terms of cargo space and combined legroom. If only they could swap the exteriors, make this exterior just a little larger...ahhhh so much better than that really weird mug the Cherokee has.
  7. I mean, it's not like they would forgo any off road tech. Probably the same model can have a Trailhawk too. Like Active Drive 1 (I think) is comparable to the AWD systems found in most other automakers, it has an axel disconnect feature tho. And a Jeep Renegade isn't much more off-road capable with that AWD compared to a Honda HR-V (it might have more ground clearance, but not much esle). Like they could give the JGC a diet, but I think look at what Jaguar did with the F-Pace. They gave certain models All Surface Progess control, a shot across the pond, borrowed from LR. So I really think a performance oriented Jeep crossover could sell. Arguably, even if not that popular, much more than some Alfa that has no brand presence or any kind of established prestige here in North America.
  8. Mountain biking right? I wish I had the stamina or the courage to mountain bike again. Maybe a few years from now, I could again. The people who helped me get here, namely the fitness trainers have all said I have visible muscle now. And I lift weights only like once or twice a week. The skin around my arms continues to get tighter, I have like sliced inches off of my thighs. And I used to think that would be impossible, but it's getting there incrementally. I've been doing variety. Sports like basketball or volleyball one day, then core another day, gravity machine another, then dance and strength and endurance. Then the pain train strength training, with slow squats and foam rolling. The transformation is starting to really look stark. I mean I remember what I was like 5-6 years ago as a stick figure. But I'll never be that again.
  9. Hmmmmm.... Hmmmmm... It's so bad that these cars just end up being crushed. Would it be more expensive to just build a ton of 1.4T crate engines for the affected 2.0 TDi models, have then installed and then pay the difference in fuel costs to the affected owners? I guess it probably would be. But damn is that just a sheer, utter waste, all on VW really.
  10. What I meant is that a badge engineered derivative of an Alfa platform Jeep would sell like hotcakes. Jeep has the luxury to reinvent itself whenever it wants, as long as Sergio would allow. People want MOAR and MOAR Jeep.
  11. I'd bet Jeep has a much better chance of selling performance oriented RWD Crossovers that Alfa ever could. I mean, like really. Jeep already has a following for Trail-rated, Trailhawk and SRT. Not much more of a push to get into on-road performance.
  12. Tesla - while their journey is arguably very arduous, would you expect anything less for the first new auto company in many, many decades to start from scratch and then push to become over time a big player in the industry? Plus any comments about any American automaker in a perilous financial situation, well it just so happens the American and Canadian taxpayers love to bail out, provide bridge loans, and all kinds of tax breaks for out beloved domestics. Sure Tesla needs help to become big. Why wouldn't they? Why shouldn't they take every advantage they can get, when the system is rigged in favour of the established players? When they dictate that the free market system isn't for their taste, and pay ham over fist to get their hands on the earliest build of the Model S and Model X to thoroughly pour over their own lack of innovation. As for this PHEV, I really hope it's a dud here, teach Cadillac to never import their supposed "S-Class fighter" from China. In fact, the whole premise of the most posh Cadillac sedan not fully and not absolutely being only built in America (atleast for American buyers) is just a slap in the face of everything Cadillac should stand for, but just doesn't. GM doesn't have the guts (aka product development time or budgets) to build S-Class competitors, hell they don't have the guts to build things that would absolutely thrash them.
  13. Tesla is too valuable of a brand to die. And if other posters make Tesla an issue in this thread, then don't TELL ME IT'S IRRELEVANT. Even if the company goes south, there will be plenty of suitors looking to cash in on an impressive dowry.
  14. Hmmm, I'm not sure, but I am going with a gut feeling that $47.5k to $55k is the ballpark of this vehicle. I also think these will sell at a premium at the dealer.
  15. Mazda seems to be one of the few that just knows what card to play when it comes to design.
  16. The CT6 has built no name for itself yet. The Model S is entrenched as one of the few vehicles considered state-of-the-art at any price. Putting CT6 and Model S in the same league does the Tesla the disservice. As for luxury amenities, the Cadillac CT6 has it's own shortcomings. How the interior is flinty and cheap. How the Panarray system is more Bose hype compared to anything else in the same price range. And how the ride in unbecoming of a large car. It's a sports sedan, a dying kind of car if look around these days. 5% difference from S-Class. HAHAHAHA. The S-Class has pedigree in unattainable by a CT6. Only a mighty Ciel or Elmiraj could do that, but with the Escala concept showing the Audi A7 look being the future of Cadillac, there's not much originality except again, the neat engineering. But it's never the thing people see first. Appearances matter. The CT6 is new for Cadillac, but otherwise stale in ways just like it's supposed competition. The S-Class and Model S...hehe, both "S" cars can be mentioned together as at the top of the $100k+ sedan group. The CT6 has interesting, truly interesting engineering here, but why have this, when in 2 years they'll have a Tesla competitor anyways? If this is truly China first thinking, then Cadillac still doesn't get it. China is leagues ahead of America in the supporting infrastructure for electric autos, buses and mass transit. They don't need this. They need an EV. And probably not a flagship sedan one, but rather an EV crossover. So that guy named, Uwe - their marketing chief, he's gonna eat his own words pretty soon.
  17. So they can take their sales of 0 crossovers and make it 100? That's like an infinite increase in sales. Wow, such a massive increase in sales. (I'm just being sarcastic.....bleh)
  18. I guess we should disseminate the politics thread section pswrd. I didn't realize there was such a penchant desire for political discussion, definitely sparked by such a interesting political cycle/ leech season.
  19. I was told that landing on the ball of foot can greatly reduce the knee pain, and for me that advice turned out to be very useful.
  20. Well, actually I will say the outgoing version of the EcoSport also looks terrible in manufacturer provided photos, but looked far better in photos taken by the press. And the only good looker in terms of all-around styling in this segment is the Mazda CX-3, which provides good looks and the best driving in exchange for a total lack of practicality, and a steep price relative to the competition.
  21. Finally doing another update. I had a brief, 3 week hiatus, where my only real excercise was walking/stairclimbing or cycling. So, I'm now at 164 lbs. I'm a very good stair climber now. So that's from 188 lbs about 4 months ago. So, my flab elastic radius has decreased everywhere, but my muscle diameter has increased quite a bit (compared to NO muscle at all). Definitely my triceps now need some work done now, and I think my lats need more work too. And same with abs. Like if I'm not standing upright, I still have the remnants of a well-fed flabby pot belly. But I have real biceps, and even without tightening up the arm, I am starting to see some cut lines. SHWEET. Sprinting really does not put nearly as much strain on my leg joints anymore. I really appreciate all the yoga, and the hip flexor stretches, shoulder stretches, lunges, planks, down dogs/up dogs, all kinds of stuffs. I have started to now eat more, because I start getting hunger pains real bad at only 1200 calories with doing excercise every day. So now it's 1800 ish. I eat meat protein about twice a week, for only one or two meals. Rest is veg and lentil protein.
  22. ENOUGH!
  23. I think this cute CUV thing is so overplayed, I think it's an ugly little runt, and it's playmates in the sandbox are all whelps too. UGLY. Very UGLY.
