Remember when I once said on my march forward I had joints which felt lubed? Well, today, I woke up, and I felt like my entire skin was covered in teflon (lol) or I am more aerodynamic. Cos movements are like so much easier. I feel like exert so little effort to walk, to move my arms around, to get up off a chair. I am becoming the F150 Plat/Denali GMC that I always wanted to be. Once I finish the work with the "grunt" department, a new wardrobe, and good times to be had.

I am just under 160 lbs now by half a pound. Awwww yeah, 28.5 pounds lost in 5 months. I haven't been absolutely strict with diet, but I haven't eaten red meat in any frequency that would make me remember eating that stuff for a while. I learned about recruiting more of my muscles, and, also, lacrosse ball massage. It fucking is the shit. -
I think I read somewhere that GM would be offering two wheelbases of the Traverse, kind of like the Hyundai Sante FE Sport and XL.

I'm sorry I don't like this car. Even if it drives great, better than Lincolns or Acuras that's not the major selling point. And the interior sure isn't better than a Lincoln MKZ. since this interior design and materials featured will just be an in-between of the Envision and Lacrosse. I do like the way it looks, really quite a lot. All I see is a Mazdafied Malibu, and Buick's supposed most opulent sedan, the Lacrosse does not have a class leading interior for the price. And at the auto shows, I was disappointed that a Kia outdoes Buick in terms of top-end interior quality.

I agree, coercion is the worst use of government/regulatory powers. The miles per gallon metric is starting to cause some stupid comparison of vehicles. Like EV's and gas vehicles. The mpg-e is just a weird way to conform the efficiency of EV's with gas cars to make them comparable. But that's not how EV efficiency should be measured. If EV's become big, and ICE vehicles become smaller, say even 20% EV, 80% gas, it will eventually cause FE between the two to become totally lopsided in the favour of the EV's. Miles per kilowatt is a better measure of efficiency, because EV power density is measured in kilowatts, but that's not what they put on the moroney, they use mpg-e.

Rolls-Royce News: Rolls-Royce Teases Project Cullinan Prototype
Suaviloquent replied to William Maley's topic in Rolls-Royce
This is going to be the most LAMEST luxury vehicle offering introduced, because the thing that this and the Bentayga sorely lack is the passion behind the product. It's just a simple deal about milking even more money. Yes, luxury cars are meant to serve the bottom line. But a maker like Rolls and Bentley, following the masses? It's just LAME. I would never buy a SUV from these two makes, only because, well, they're not about that. They're about their cars, their luxo limos, their thoroughly "adequate" sedans. I mean, Land Rover has the prestige of being the British SUV. What the f*** is this? It doesn't look stately, nor does it have the presence. And honestly, it reminds me of the EXP 9 Bentley concept. And that was a concept. This is not a concept. What I mean is, regardless of how well this does, it just kind of has no element of surprise. DFelt hit it home, there's just nothing new to see here. We all have an idea of what a Rolls SUV would look like. And instead of redefining the brand, to signify the changing times, this is an utterly predictable extension of the brand. Now if this was a super EV, with 400 miles of range, and fast charging, throw everything out the window, because Rolls and Bentley have the prestige to change their brand formula to include cutting-edge innovation that commands the highest premium in the industry. But no, they have here another competent, "adequate" SUV, that will never change the current dynamics of the market. Probably it will just take sales away from their sedans to the crossover, not much conquest potential.- 8 replies

Fitness thread: All topics related to personal health and wellness
Suaviloquent replied to Suaviloquent's topic in The Lounge
So, now I am reaching the point where every week or other week I am having to dial up the intensity just a small amount. The weight loss has slowed down to a crawl, like only half a pound in 2 weeks. I could be eating a bit more green stuffs, and slightly less breadstuffs tho. I remember when I first started out, I mentioned how my joints felt lubed, well, not anymore, yes they are smooth, but I don't have that immediate change happening now. It's like I'm used to the better shape, such that I still hunt for more fitness. And finally I can manipulate my abs - I can raise them, rather make them slide up, closer to the ribcage without drawing the stomach in. It's really weird, I don't have a proper handle on this yet, I have to really get a feel for it to do it. But no, I don't have abs. In fact, I'm still quite flabby. But like 50% to 80 less flab depending on the area than before. But I do remember one thing. Years past, when I was 140 - 160 lbs, I had no muscle anywhere to speak of. I was just a squishy. Now I'm not. It's different knowing your weight as it is, because muscle weighs more than fat, so me being on the cusp of being below 164, I may have just doubled to tripled the muscle mass I had before (it wasn't much AT ALL to begin with. And because I did jump squats, quite a few yesterday, when I did yoga with lunges, then to warrior 3, my legs were shaking as if it were the first time I did yoga, but I recognize it was my body telling me that the workout for the core I did yesterday was very effective. In 15 mins of yoga I sweated more than even a 20 min jog. Incredible. -
VW News: Call Me Arteon, The Successor To the Volkswagen CC
Suaviloquent replied to William Maley's topic in Volkswagen
I think the name change is probably a good thing. The pre-refresh CC, to me at the time was a jaw dropping, head turning car for a VW. And the commercial they had for it, was just dripping with with all the right curves and camera angles. I think it is a timeless design, though one thing I really liked was just the cohesion. There's only one other swoopy midsizer that I think comes close to the cohesion in terms of design, and that's the Mazda 6. The Fusion and Malibu have bits here and there that are discordant with another. Actually get rid of the front end of the 200, and yeah, I'd say it's up there too. But this one of those cars that became a victim of it's own success. Mainstream midsizers are providing the swoopy styling for thousands less, and drive pretty close to this, and the majority would agree that the refresh in 2011 actually hurt the look of the vehicle. VW knows how to make good car commercials, but I guess since their presence in North America is limited, they need some means of getting their brand out there. But also, VW did a great job of ending the commercial very much like the old adage, fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice, shame on me. Since you won't be fooled twice, VW is fully to blame for the styling, and of course the head lock that it induces of the bystander watching the car pass by. -

Ultimate Dream Garage: 500-599 HP Edition
Suaviloquent replied to Frisky Dingo's topic in The Lounge
So, my contribution to this thread, well, already some of the posts have included a few vehicles I would pick. But since I'm too lazy to make a list right now, I will wait like a lioness stalking her prey to therefore see more posts being made, and then I'll cherry pick the ones I would include in my list. Basically, all you of are doing all the thinking for me. Thank you in advance, much appreciated. -
Good! Excellent! The more the Touareg's continue to sit on dealer lots unsold, the better the haggle, and the better the buy.

Jeep News: Rumorpile: Jeep Grand Wagoneer Canceled?
Suaviloquent replied to William Maley's topic in Jeep
I thought the Wagoneer was supposed to be a long wheelbase Grand Cherokee in terms of the idea, and the price point was supposed to be like the same as a Merecedes GLS or Cadillac Escalade. Autoline daily - I mean I can see where the trouble would come from using the current platform from the Grand Cherokee, going by the teaser pic shown to the dealer. This platform stretched for use for the Durango, but one thing the Durango lacks is width, relative to other large RWD SUVs such as Tahoe, Land Cruiser, etc. But the Durango also bridges the gap between a FWD based 3 row crossover and the RWD body on frame SUV's. This dealer meeting pic, I mean the Grand Wagoneer, and I'm thinking it's maybe like the lighther, more luxo Hummer that GM never made, but that people really wanted. And I also think "3-row Bronco." And given that the upcoming Ford Bronco will probably be a refreshed Ford Everest, I wonder where the place is for such a behemoth. I mean, the most fuel efficient FCA vehicle is a minivan plug-in. Can it do all the CAFE magic for them? I guess with Trump presidency, maybe they won't have to worry after all. I don't understand what is going on at FCA. There's just not a lot to show in these years. Flops like the Dart and 200 were I think rather unavoidable. I hope the Pacifica does well, but even it can't carry the ENTIRE Chrysler brand on it's own.- 18 replies

Jeep News: Rumorpile: Jeep Grand Wagoneer Canceled?
Suaviloquent replied to William Maley's topic in Jeep
I don't know, the dealer meeting had revealed partially the front and rear facias, and it appears to be if all the vehicles in that image are to scale, the Grand Wagoneer is ginormous. It appears to even be slightly bigger than an Escalade, I reckon. I think the Grand Wagoneer with be built on the same underpinnings as the next RAM full-size p/u. But it's not the first time we've heard of FCA delaying plans, and also, I think FCA has canceled or delayed more models now than what they actually have in the product pipeline that is supposedly on track to arrive in time.- 18 replies

Kia News: Spying: Are You the Production Kia GT?
Suaviloquent replied to William Maley's topic in Kia
Maybe it's the lighting at the facility, but for a car that is very much slab sided, why does it appear that the design is busy? Also that greenhouse....oh my god, it's just horrible. -
I haves not had any kinds of the beverages mentioned in this thread for about a year now. Hmmm, should I invest in some liquid passion? Or save monies for MOAR Bentley Cadillac? The economics, the choices, the choices....
-
This is the state of new car lease/financing with a prolonged period of low interest rates. Yeah, another gut wrenching pot thickener.
-
One thing for sure, is that the exterior of the CT6 is tight, real good against cars of the same size. But it's not as expressive as i wish it could be. I think Cadillac should not have restricted the trim levels for the 2.0T model in the U.S. - because I bet that same engine for China wouldn't have the exclusion of higher trim levels.
-
The Bentley has 6000 lbs of passion. I love it!
-
I would bring back saving money. And then I'd bring back something a hell of a lot worse, than saving money.
-
Okay, so if the thread parameters would have permitted say, any other luxury vert as a third choice, of approximately the same price range of unaffordable to quadruple reverse mortgage class, I would get some form of Aston Martin Vert, if they exist.

So, they are splitting another vehicle in two. How do the German makes keeping splitting hairs? Such as BMW taking the 3 Series, then making a coupe out of it, only to make another sedan from the coupe. WTF. How do they do this? (feinting ignorance, pls ignore).
