  1. Kia is bringing the Stinger, and I think the GT might be a good enough replacement of the SS in terms of market positioning of a conventional branded performance sedan. Though the turbo six is no LS3....but it might cost just about the same..
  2. Eh, governments are doing too much of stealing wealth from the future by printing currency, but that's for another thread, another political crisis, and lots of blah blah on many view points on how to fix it, probably all being very good blah blah's. Also, I LAUGHED MY ASS OFF TO HOW DREW REPLIED TO OLD'S FUNNY POST...... .....THAT WAS LIKE, 13/10, PLATINUM REWARDS CLASS HUMOUR....
  3. You're gonna pay for the roads somehow, whether you pay at the pump, or pay at the charger.
  4. What's the worse that could happen here.... You can slap a Jeep name on a sedan, and it'll sell through the roof, just because it'll be the first-ever, and Jeep.
  5. Yeah, I visited a few autoshows, and unfortunately, Canada gets nothing in terms of debuts, other than debuts of a vehicle that first will go on sale down south of the border, and then will sell after half a model year with Trump trickle up economics up here. (Uncontrolled laughther & drool....)
  6. The thing is with the competition, they have a lot of built up brand and the inertia it carries. Cadillac could use a product like that. But they would have to support it and keep it relevant, regardless of the means and regardless of the price. And hyper mentioned that already, the way the Corvette has been protected... It could be a one and done deal like the Ford GT. But that car got a new gen for 2017 simply because of the existence of the brand and what that brand did 50 years prior, and was able to repeat again. And from the looks alone, they have knocked it out of the park there. But see, that's a FORD. Not a Lincoln. And Lincoln will never ask for its own exotic. It's just not what the brand is about. And with the Corvette being positioned to be able to slay supercars, hang with hypercars in its most extereme varitants, and have the interior now passable for a car of that price considering the potential performance, how could Cadillac improve performance further? And how much more can they go further even by doing that? By reducing conventional materials in the platform with their new mixed material approach, yes, plus carbon fibre composites, additive manufacturing, yes. But the timing, oh the timing. The El Miraj came out a few years back, and really, that car with a dumbed down interior plus production mirrors and wheels was something truly right in the moment, but it was a preposterous product to even consider worth building. Cadillac is still vaguely remembered by some folk as a brand that at one time had it all. As in, they were the standard of the world in a very vague sense and only in what they made then, but like existing in a vacuum, a distillation of the American idea of a flash of automotive wealth. The big, bad, luxo sedan. The new money and millenials, their only exposure to Cadillac is the dog years and now very recent signs of life. Not much really to sell a supercar or hypercar off of I am afraid. And really, I think GM has something going right with the Corvette. For Cadillac to be its own brand, it needs to make its own cars. And it has to live with the contradiction very much in place at GM with the Corvette and other supercars already. That a competing car from a far less upmarket nameplate can offer atleast 99% of the performance for a significantly less price. The only car that I think the Corvette can't touch is the Viper ACR. And that car is a track animal, purpose built to only pummel the driver and the track into submission. The Cadillac cannot become a silk or tweed lined version of that in order to conquer the Corvette.
  7. Oh I just noticed the shifting setup.....why would they do that just for 1 vehicle? From the way GM hardware finds itself in a Cadillac and Buick and a Chevy (the new electronic shifter), I'm convinced this might end up maybe in the upcoming Enclave...
  8. Is the new Acadia narrower than the öld öne? Cös then they probably cöpy pästä that, and önly strecth wheelbase more here.
  9. No one can really compete on Töyötäs turf when it comes to that image of reliability or something, so if Toyota made a serious attempt at the niche segments still left in the midsize space, like the Fusion Sport or adding AWD, or plug in hybrid, I could forsee a huge sales surge, stealing much from all the gains the others have made at the expense of the Camry, but really, thät plätförm was getting really öld...sö all new had to happen.
  10. Sö. wät. is. göing. ön. I äm incredibly stööööpid för trying to learn new länguäge.... Well, I think I made a hähä in the Nissän Cäshcöw threäd, cös William liked it. Ööps. Möd pöwer abuse, pls bän, revenge me!!
  11. Hmmm, it reminds me of Ödysseys of many generations ago actually, cös it is sö Japanese design ethös.... I like it, the Pacifica is all chrömey, this is all sensible. Good contrast, this is Höndä being itself, ÄND FINÄLLY, they put the track for the door with the window, so it looks cleäner!!!
  12. The pictures fröm the äutöshöw, äääck, keep using wröng a and o, but äanyways I think Kiä did pretty damn good impersonating every other thing like this in a Kiä Öptimä suit. I think it is an interesting vehicle, and they had the guts to make it, not many brands dö that anymore, Cadillac does when it comes to their sedans...Jaguar has, Lexus has when it comes to LC and LS, so Kia under Schreyer will do good. Also, when you have German chief of design, and German powertrain and vehicle engineering people at a Körean make....you are going to get German influence, especially since these guys where stolen from German brands...
  13. Seems like a pretty nice redesign, though....hmmm, yeah I guess they are trying to sway more people into the Äcadia if they want a compact GM 3 row, and for the price of a less than mid level Tähoe, you would get an absolutely loaded Träverse with comparable styling. Though, not sure how they made it bigger, yet the only dimensions that improve are for the passenger space. Where did the 17 cubic feet go? And the older V6 is a head scratcher too..echoing Friskys thoughts, I mean I guess cost-cutting there is okey, but the cylinder deactivation would help push the FE higher, and a 9 speed tranny is here anyways so .... putting in a more recent engine that is still older than this new transmission.... why would that be an issue? Plus they äre bringing the Twinster ÄWD to the High Country....so it is not like cost is an issue for 3 row suv buyers to begin with... And in terms of cost for consumer, they can always sell a Traverse limited just LIKE the Acadia Limited.....And the RS trim. Are they thinking someone buying a Cruze RS or RS Sonic is going to upgrade to a FWD 2.0L Traverse? I mean not a bad upgrade in terms of upward mobility and all that stuff, but cmön that is a joke or rather pandering to make the sporty trim so lame such as the Corolla S trim....
  14. There is not a single photo of the normal LE and XLE non hybrid grille. Otherwise, I see this as the design of a car so cömmitted to being a functional appliance, that you just cannöt jelp but feel kind of awe and respect for it. I think Toyota has embraced the Subaru school of design, and it actually looks like the Camry fully realized finally in this century...
  15. The photography from the auto show make this look much better IMÖ.
  16. Well the diesel engine will add a fair bit of heft, though I think the block is CGI, thö maybe...do most diesel blocks use iron, aluminum or CGI or a combo of all 3....nevermind, the emissions stuff like after-treatment will add weight back. This refresh has made the F150 range very expansive, on top of the Raptor being available for sale now. I like the new front end with the body colour quite a bit. Most interested in the 5.0L. How much do 8 iron cylinder liners weigh. Cös that is the weight reduction atleast on the upgraded Coyote. And I wonder, this means the Mustang in 2018 will also get an upgraded Coyote too.
  17. It doesn't really look like a cross over coupe to me, it might be the perennial Audi design choice of using lots of straight lines fooling the hell out of me, and yes I think it is äwsm looking.
  18. I really like this car, and that is shocking, cause I usually like more upright luxury stance, basically what the last LS was before they put the spindle grille treatment. I like the proportions, I like even the spindle grille, it is no longer some add-on afterthought, the design is cohesive, though there are so many pinched areas and imagery everywhere. That interior in terms of materials, WOW. I think Lexus has made a substantial leap, and I was thinking that the Genesis G90 was already going to eclipse this. I severely underestimated the ability of Lexus to differentiate itself in this space...damn.
  19. Auto lights? well I am of the kind that, if it has lights and you can turn them on and off, well, then the driver is the problem, not the automaker. And we have idiot drivers even when the cars can almost drive themselves. So, haha. Muahahaha.
  20. I like everything behind the front end. Actually the front end on its own looks alright too. But the kinda donät fit well, the profile is pretty sleek, and few lines, and the front is kinda busy. oh shit welp, learning some new stuff so have at it öäöäöäö
  21. So I did my first workout of 2017..... I guess I get double brownie points, because I am going full speed ahead to 15% body fat?
  22. Gonna have another meh new year's. Joining the list of meh christmas's, meh meh's, and MEH MEH MEH'S
  23. Glad you are okay!
