Won't help, if enough people like those idiots to keep voting them in, then they'll find another one just like them and go for it again. Term limits won't help until the people electing those officials become more educated on politics and the available candidates. That goes for both sides of the political divide, no one has been exempt from electing morons. What makes it extra tough is the moron bit is subjective, one man's moron may be another's genius, it just depends on how their views align.

Bad news, The ends of the tunnel collapsed shut with you in the middle. (I so read the original post wrong and thought I was supposed to be doing the good and bad together, I feel a bit stupid now).

police Grey Poupon, the mustard. Would have made for a great hashtag wars joke (though I'm not sure what the subject would have been) "50 Shades of Grey Poupon".

Good news, it's only a temporary stop on the way to someplace that should be better. Bad news, you are not allowed to leave Michigan, either way.

Today is a good day for Metallica (really, what day isn't?). So, I just finished up "No Leaf Clover", have "Of Wolf and Man" playing right now, and up next will be "Devil's Dance".

A lot of principals boil down to a skeleton.

I think I've got to go Evo here. I'm not sure what team of blind men they got to put together that WRX, but it looks like a bunch of people grabbed at some parts bins with their eyes closed and threw whatever they came out with into a big pile of ugly. That just does not look at all like a cohesive vehicle design to me. Besides, I know Mitsubishi needs some help staying alive (in the US car business, anyway), so I'd feel good about throwing a little money their way, just as long as I can get that grey one and not the easter egg yellow in the other picture.

Continental just bores me the more I look at it. At first glance when it was revealed I thought it was okay, but nothing that really grabbed my attention, either. As I keep seeing more and more pictures of it I find it hard to see anything that makes it other than another plain, uninspiring sedan design. That MKR just looks like it actually has some style and panache, and yes a better looking front-end, no buck-tooth problems there. I'm not buying a luxury anything anytime soon on what I make, but if I were in the market for a luxury vehicle the MKR would at least catch my attention, where the Continental just wouldn't even register.

Drag racing, quick and simple, the fastest car wins, love it. After that, pretty much anything not on an oval (I'm looking at you NASCAR, way to make racing boring!).

No, that other concept smokes this one without even trying. They definitely picked the wrong concept to bring to market.

It's been a Chris Cornell day (in all guises Audioslave, Soundgarden, Temple of the Dog, solo) just finished "Blow Up the Outside World", "Your Soul Today" just started, and "Get on the Snake" will be playing once it's done.

I know better than to spin out while driving straight. Unless you're taking about people wanting to race a Mustang all the time. Or unless you think I'll turn into Badstang. It seemed like an appropriate spot to reminisce about the hilarity of that epic failure from MTs forums.

FCA Drops Warranty from 100k. Follows GM to 60K
SalesmanSean replied to Cmicasa the Great's topic in Chrysler
I don't see that much of anyone is rooting against Mopar, you're looking at this too much as people talking negatively about them specifically. What we're doing is pointing out negative facts about the parent company. I think most have agreed that the Mopar brands are the strength of the FCA lineup, and I think even Casa would cheer for them again if they could find their way back under some American ownership, which seems to be his biggest gripe with the Mopar section of things. For better or worse, FCA is in bad shape, and it's not the fault of the Mopar brands, but more accurately despite their success that this has happened. I do think that the Mopar contingent have shown their value, and should FCA as a whole go under I still think that someone will find a way to snatch them up and keep them going. They have profitability, heritage, and a nice line of vehicles when taken as a whole. It may take them getting all the way to the brink, though, before they are given that chance at redemption. -
Another plus of the Miata, you won't be plagued by "The Mustang Effect".

I like the power and most of the looks of the Mustang, but that front end really turns me off. So, my vote went to the Miata Club, still fun and a little bit cheaper.

I have to make the time read them. But there are so many other things I wish I had the time for and don't. That's life I guess. I try and read for an hour or so every night before I go to sleep...either on my Kindle or a physical book. It's a good idea, but if I let myself read too close to heading to bed, I'll never get to sleep. That's the danger, when I get really locked into a book I'm enjoying I lose track of time, and sometimes even my surroundings. It can be very worth it, though. As horrible as this is going to sound, my best time for reading is usually when I go to the restroom. It tends to make for some really long restroom breaks, but it's quiet, no one will bother me, and there is nothing else right there to distract me. Edit: I can't make myself do e-books, though I try. There is just something about the experience of having a paperback in my hands (yes, it has to be paperback, I don't like the feel of the paper in hardbacks), feeling the pages in my fingers, anticipating that next turn...it's not just the story that makes it great, it's the experience.

I have to make the time read them. But there are so many other things I wish I had the time for and don't. That's life I guess. Yeah, my last job I could get some reading in during the downtime, but I was the boss(ish) there, so had some more leeway. If they caught me doing that here, despite the extended downtime, I'd be out the door really quickly.

Today is a Days of the New kind of day (I know they only have three albums, but I continue to hope against all hope and reality that the long promised fourth one will eventually come) so I just finished listening to "Freak", have "Where I Stand" playing now and it will next switch to "Solitude".

Pretty simple, I'll post a line from a song, whoever figures it out names the song and artist, then they post their own lyrics for someone else to figure out. You don't have to make it crazy easy, but maybe try not to make it something too obscure so people at least have a chance to figure it out. I think that about covers it, so, to get it started: There, are stars, in the southern sky, and if ever, you decide, you should go, there is a taste, of time sweetened honey, down.........

I am bored again, and I feel a new thread coming on. Hopefully this will be more successful than the last couple I tried to start, but I'm not holding my breath. Music has very much been on my mind lately, so that is the way I think I'm going.....

FCA Drops Warranty from 100k. Follows GM to 60K
SalesmanSean replied to Cmicasa the Great's topic in Chrysler
Sorry to say, but I have to agree with Casa here. If FCA wasn't in pretty bad shape they wouldn't be looking for partners to help keep them afloat. In reality I think very little of that is the Chrysler/Dodge/Jeep/Ram portion of it, but you can't just look at them separately. Fiat is not selling here in the states, and the 500X isn't going to make a significant difference. They're just hemorrhaging too badly in the non-Chrysler portion of things to stay afloat for any extended length of time without either finding a partner or... I don't know, I'm not sure if product-wise there is a way for them to keep going long-term. I don't like it, and I don't want to see things happen that way, but it does seem to be the way things are heading. I think it would be easier for them to find help if they tried to sell off the Chrysler bits separate from the rest of FCA, but they can't afford to do that because what is left will just tank even faster. If they could sell the other divisions they would be better off, but nobody wants to take on that debt, especially since it only shows signs of continuing to grow. So, they have to try and move the company as a whole, and even still it hasn't proven to be an attractive enough opportunity for anyone to want to step up. I said before that I think the warranty reduction is fine and makes sense, but that doesn't mean that some of the motivation wasn't also to try and save some money and hold off going under for a little while longer. -
