Chevrolet News:Chevy Blazer EV Full Reveal set for July 18th
surreal1272 replied to Drew Dowdell's topic in Chevrolet
Please, oh please, elaborate the part in bold. -
“See! I showed you where other companies have problems too. It’s not just Tesla “ Also Tesla (who is consistently ranked at or near the bottom of every dependability survey)… And, then was this just a couple of months ago. https://www.euronews.com/next/2022/04/15/the-fun-police-strikes-again-tesla-recalls-595-000-vehicles-after-safety-investigation Point being, DUH! Other companies like Ford have problems too. However, those problems don’t happen as often at Fore as they clearly do at Tesla. That is years of this nonsense with a large ego at the helm but sure, let’s just pretend that Teslas problems are equal to say, Ford, when they’re clearly not. That makes a lot of sense.
-
"But all car companies have issues with quality. It's not just Tesla." Not at the same frequency (Tesla is consistently at the bottom of just about every reliability ranking/score out there) and not issues like this... https://www.motortrend.com/news/nhtsa-tesla-autopilot-investigation-shutoff-crash/ But whatever we do, do not blame Elon.?
-
Right now, I am like… at the absurdity here (the obvious context deficiency on display here).
-
And I don’t know how anyone can say that criticism of Musk is just because of some tweets or a singular incident. It most certainly is not If those same folks have been paying attention to his actions over the last decade. Hell, the man now criticized government subsidies while somehow ignoring that his company exists as it is today solely because of those SAME SUBSIDIES over that same decade. That’s just for starters.
-
I would like to add the wide ranging quality and reliability issues with Tesla that far trumps the Bolts ONE issue. Elon gets easily distracted and this is a known fact (mostly due to being high spectrum) and it’s his end line product that suffers as a result. His interests and focus seem to change with the season and that is a huge problem.
-
Don’t know about Young but most locals there would probably say that bands like Mudhoney, early Soundgarden, and Mother Love Bone started the grunge scene there. Nirvana just got the first big break is all. And Seattle can keep that rain. That is way too much for my taste.
-
I agree 1000% about Nirvana. Vastly overrated. And it wasn’t taken as being serious Olds. Just pointing it out that Seattle was known for more than grunge at one point. Well of course because those are much larger population hubs with longer histories than Seattle. For a city it’s size though, it has supplied some pretty damn good music.
-
@oldshurst442-I should add that despite your hate for grunge, there are other big names from Seattle that long predate the grunge scene. Heart and Queensryche for starters.
-
Not entirely true. “Original Fire” by Audioslave is about Seattle and their music scene in the early 90s.
-
I think I’m already there lol. The last drive was two and half years ago and I don’t think I could drive that long without more breaks due to multiple health issues with my back and hips these days.
-
That is true lol. It's been 28 years since I have been through that stretch of GA and it was always a little hairy just because of the law enforcement presence back then. Sounds like traffic flow is the big issue now with the population blow up in that area. There are parts of I-40 like that (looking at you Memphis, TN and Little Rock, AR).
-
Not on I-95 lol. Most folks think the "95" is the suggested speed for that interstate. Used to drive down to Florida from NC all the time back in the 90s. Had a ton of family down there at one point. On a side note, I just realized that I have done the I-40 drive five times (if I want to count my first 6500 miles two week adventure to CA back in '93) but in six different cars. 1st drive (1993): 92' Toyota Tercel (my first new car) 2nd drive (2007): '95 Eagle Talon (when I moved to AZ) 3rd drive (2010): '06 Dodge Magnum (round trip) 4th drive (2017): 2016 Kia Soul (from AZ to NC) and a 2016 Jeep Compass (from NC to AZ). Those were rentals, hence the two different rides for the same trip. 5th drive (2019): 2015 Ford Flex (one way move from AZ back to NC) In all, I have driven around 22K miles on I-40 which I now know like the back of hand, in regards to all the stops one needs to make on that particular drive lol.
-
I’m six months from fifty and still do it lol. The odd thing is that I have been told that I have the bladder of an infant lol but when I hit the highway, I apparently forget I even have a bladder. Something about those long drives put me in a certain mode and I just lock in and keep it going, sometimes to my detriment as far as sleep goes (two of those drives have involved literally zero sleep). I totally get it though. It gets tougher the older you get.
-
I must have been a long haul driver in a past life. I have done the I-40 drive from NC to AZ five times and I don’t stop unless I need gas or if the rare bladder emergency comes up, I will stop but overall, I will drive 300-400 miles without stopping. I do not F around on highway once I get going lol.
-
You would be correct. It has dual charge capabilities but it does not use the ultium setup. It should be noted that GM announced a price drop for both Bolt models since they no longer qualify for the tax credit. The Bolt starts at just over $26K not while the EUV is right at $30K (I believe). Not a supposing move with the larger Equinox EV coming out in the near future and a supposed $30K price tag to boot.

Opinion: The Family Sedan is now on the Endangered Species List

Thanks for proving my point about your status as the new resident troll who has a clear reading comprehension issue. And I quote (the WHOLE sentence, for CONTEXT), "Big difference there that you are clearly missing so whatever other excuses you want to make for not being informed here on this thread, knock yourself out. I’m done." Which was then followed by this (regarding the ACTUAL subject of the thread), "Given how trends come and go, there is an outside shot of sedans making some sort of comeback when EVs become standard fair. Fickle trends can be just that, fickle. As it is people, rationally or irrationally so, are just stuck on CUVs. Like vans and station wagons past though, that could always change over the next decade." Now notice, not a remark or reply to you until you felt compelled to interject with your "whimsical" brand of basic ignorance. To sum up, I AM DONE discussing the subject in bold with you. Anything else is fair game so stop acting like you have a "gotcha" moment when all you have is a total lack of reading comprehension moment(s). -

"HI. My name is ccap and I like to speak in the 3rd person, don't pay attention to context when someone says he is done with discussing the subject at hand, and am totally inept at basic reading comprehension because I think I am being clever when I am really just acting like an immature DICKBAG while seeking validation from internet strangers. Now, if you will excuse me, those nice men in the white coats are coming to fit me for a extra small jacket of some sort. Toodles!" The lesson here is don't get salty with me because you failed at basic reading and keep thinking you had some kind of "gotcha" moment. That's what immature 13 year olds do but maybe I am expecting too much from the new C&G troll. -

See? You misread what I said again. I said “dickbag”. Again, grow up. And talking to yourself online is a bit like talking to yourself in front of a bunch of strangers in the real world. Seek help for that condition of yours that has you speaking in the third person and talking to yourself. The nice folks, in the white jackets, from Bellevue will be speaking with you shortly. -

No matter how many times you say it, you didn’t. Just because you can’t understand the context of what was actually said or are selectively ignoring it in order to keep trolling, doesn’t change that fact. Grow up. -

surreal1272 replied to Drew Dowdell's topic in Opinion
Someday you will stop referring to yourself in the 3rd person, grow up, and post like an actual adult who actually reads what someone says instead of what he is inferring from said words. Until then, save the constant need for internet validation for your grade school class. Sincerely, Everyone else who doesn’t post like a 13 year old -

Jesus H dude. You have a serious reading comprehension and context issue while just acting like a general immature dickbag. Let it go and find something more productive to do with your life. -
Those era GCs were notoriously unreliable, from crap transmissions to electronics issues. Not a good generation of GCs at all.
