  1. I loved it. I know it's not a canyon carver like the Camaro or Stang but it is far more livable for me. Being that is pretty much the same dimensions up front as my Magnum, that is a huge plus for me. I love the room in it. Whew! Just glad I was let off easy here though. That was really bothering me.
  2. Good to know. So if they do an LT4 version I can expect it to get even better FE numbers? And check out the size of that fuel tank. Guess they just chose a different priority for packaging instead of truly having less room. T The bigger gas tank is a trade off for the less than useless trunk. I haven't seen such a useless trunk since my last MR2. Of course, that's not the primary goal with this car or any pony car but it would be nice to have a larger opening for it. It's not that bad a trunk. Besides, the back seats are good parcel shelves. I don't know man. I'm a little spoiled with having a car with a ton of space and after test driving a Camaro and a Challenger last year and doing a thorough walk around, the Challenger is the hands down winner in that department.
  3. I have the magazine at home, as a matter of fact. However, I made my point and you have chosen to ignore it but that's okay. I've had my fun. All yours Bong.
  4. Even more hilarious is claiming a "refinement" edge against a car with Cadillac underpinnings. That doesn't even merit explaining at this point. I'm a little surprised that the more powerful car had better MPGs though.
  5. Okay. Let me be the one to tell what you didn't catch on to yesterday. In your rush to use the MT article on the GT as your evidence of a more refined car, you missed the part in the article where they were comparing it to a 2015 Camaro, not the 2016. From the article that you backed. "The interior is nice, too. Get in a fifth-generation Camaro (even the SS 1LE), and you're reminded constantly that you're sacrificing for performance." Just wanted to clarify that for you because you might have missed that when it was brought up four days ago in the GT thread here. So the article I read in the December issue of Motor Trend, with the 6th gen camaro and Mustang on the FREAKING COVER......was an illusion? There is even 34 forum pages on the issue over at MT, of which you have many posts, complete with mod warnings just prior to locking it. Is that your goal yet again here? http://forums.motortrend.com/70/9740627/the-general-forum/all-new-camaro-ss-vs-mustang-gt/index.html I read that as well and they said that there ergonomics and such were close enough to not matter. Performance, on the other hand (and that is what these cars are about despite your statements to the contrary), is all Camaro at this point, hence them giving the nod to the Camaro. BTW, next time you should clarify which GT article you are talking about since there are clearly two in question. Oh and who can't even post there anymore and who was told to stop bringing up MT drama here before the thread here was locked? Yeah, that's what I thought. (never mind the fact that you are delusional is you think I was the sole reason for it getting locked because you obviously did not read the posts by certain Ford fanboys there who were called out multiple times).

  7. The SS is impressive beyond words. I would not buy either car (just a personal preference thing), but if I wanted a weekend road carver, the Camaro would be hard to pass up.

  9. Today has been an awesome day. Just wanted to say that.
  10. what, and miss out on all the fun surreal, awaiting your reply so that I can answer those 3 questions you are so concerned about. You make no sense. I asked them and you have yet to answer any of them directly. You still can't even answer the original question asked by three different people. Maybe saying it a little slower for you, with emphasis, will help. HAVE...YOU...ACTUALLY...SAT...IN...OR...DRIVEN...THE...NEW...CAMARO?
  11. Like I said, nothing a few hp's can't fix. Camaro has a steeper hill to climb.....while dragging it's gold bracelet & ring adorned knuckles.... Again, the Mustang has had six years since the last gen. Camaro came out, to bump up the performance game. Hasn't work so far so history is not on your side but don't let those pesky little facts keep you from trolling a little harder.
  12. First Point: Yeah, you read it all right....and helped to close the thread too. I think you hold the record for locked threads over at MT. Congrats on that btw. And why should I answer someones question about if I have driven the car, when they clearly said that because they did not know there was a review already? I was clearly......CLEARLY.....talking about the MT comparison. Second Point: And way to step up with facts surreal. Here is a fact, my point about refinement was spot on.....per the MT comparison. And yeah, MT stated they wanted the car with more performance. Does that really surprise anyone? And my final point was that Mustangs problem is easily fixed with more power and gears. Which it is. GM can't just throw more power at it's brand new camaro failings. You are welcome. So three questions and three dodged and completely side stepped answers and on top of that, you throw in a personal jab that has not ONE THING to do with this topic. I do love how you think only Ford can fix their issues when they have had ten years since the last real Mustang redesign, to outperform the Camaro. You would be wrong but it's funny that you think that. Oh and Drew, correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't you say that we should keep the MT drama out of here? All I know is that I don't let a magazine decide how I want to feel about subjective things like refinement, hence why he was asked by three different people if he had actually sat in and driven the Camaro. My only point here, that you can't seem to argue against, is that MT stated Mustang was the better all around car. Now, if you want to debate that, I am all about that. Stay focused surreal. Focus yourself and answer the original question asked by three different people. Have you sat in and driven the new Camaro?
  13. Anyway, we will see if Ford can correct the performance shortcomings on the Mustang. It's obviously a good car but the Camaro has clearly set the performance bar here.

  15. I've read the article in question. Who won that btw? It wasn't the Mustang, is all I know. BTW, nice dodge of the original questions asked by several people here, which was "have you driven the new Camaro?". Oh but those sales (once again only counting them when it suits you), never mind the fact that the production of those "unloaded" Camaros was greatly reduced over the last six months, which is exactly what happened to the Mustang last year when it sold a whopping 3200 cars in September 2014 alone.
  16. It can be done though. The last gen Camaro was a heavy beast compared to the Stang but offered similar and sometimes better performance in some trims. We will see what Ford does over the next few years.
  17. Sales are not the topic of discussion here though (as you like to point out in other threads). Thanks for down vote on the facts again (and this time no one can use perceived condescension as an excuse). Nice to know that some save those one a day votes for just such an occasion. Votes aren't the topic of discussion here ( as you like to point out, in this thread ). Maybe you didn't notice this, but I merely replied to my own post. I would have edited the post in question but it was too late. Thanks for your concern though. Anyway, back to the topic, Ford has some work to do in the performance arena because the Camaro is clearly not playing around this time.

  20. I know right? So silly to focus on engines and trannys on a performance car.
  21. So you have sat in and driven the new Camaro? I mean the only way I can make such an assessment is if I've done that very thing myself. Otherwise, I could not make an honest assessment about it.
  22. DUDE! I thought I was the only one who digs on that song! Great show and an awesome song! Just love the tone of it!
  23. Why can't people like more than one thing? I'm an Oldsmobile guy, but my secret love is the old Eagle Talon. I had two '95 Talons (two separate times of course). They were both great cars.
  24. Probably. GM has made some of the worst gaskets over the years. My wife's old 3.4L Grand Am had gasket issues.
  25. Yeah it's a mess that seems to be due to some old school incompetence on the part of some long gone idiots. Hopefully a true fix will happen this time.
