I never looked it up because I just assumed those three hyper cars were all using turbos.. Definitely did not realize it was a n/a motor. Can it not be a hybrid drivetrain even if it is a boosted 5.X liter engine? Let's try to make it a non-hybrid, as there is a hybrid/EV thread coming soon.

What Would You Buy Instead- V6 Camaro Edition

I don't think anyone is disputing that cp. Also, some have picked the Camaro is SS guise. For what it's worth, at closer to 30K, I'd take the 'Maro V6 stick. -
918 is N/A hybrid.

Come on peeps, why aren't these getting any hits? If nobody wants to partake in these, I'm going to stop doing them.

Lincoln News: 2017 Lincoln Continental To Begin At $45,485
Frisky Dingo replied to William Maley's topic in Lincoln
Since my reply to this post on the home page vanished, I guess I'll leave this here, but in cliff notes this time- 1)There should be no 3.7 FWD model. Way too much overlap with the MKZ. 2)There really shouldn't be a FWD model at all. 3)Are they putting 335 hp in a FWD variant?!?! 4)To be a real luxury brand, they should be treating all customers like Black Label buyers. Except maybe the food thing. 5)The Black Label better be damn nice for 70K. -
I have to agree. Cadillac doesn't seem to be willing to put up or shut up and take on the Germans on all fronts. So much for bringing new merit to the notion of being 'The Standard of the World'. If they're not going to step up, they need to focus on conquest sales from Acura, Infiniti, Lincoln, and to a lesser extent, Lexus.

What Would You Buy Instead- V6 Camaro Edition

$37,570. Base car w/ just DSG. The thing is awesome. All the people who say it's not worth the stretch over the GTI, I don't get it. I think it is. I didn't expect there to be as big of a difference as there was. It's night and day. It's like a GTI turned up to 11.5. Better in every way. As it stands, it is hands down the #1 contender to replace my GTI. -

What Would You Buy Instead- V6 Camaro Edition

I try to keep as close to the original segment as possible just to diversify my choices from one thread to the next, but I suppose. In the real world, if I were spending 38K on a car to fulfill anywhere near the same purposes- fun, fast, usable daily- I'm buying a Golf R w/out question. -

Bet you never saw this coming- Built a new GT Premium out to $38,590. 6MT w/ 20" wheels and no PP. I thought about the standard SS, but similar money gets heated/cooled leather in the GT, and I think it's the better looking car. Plus, the Guard Green is just gorgeous, and is going away after this year. -
I think this would be a terrible, terrible idea. Nothing says you're not a real luxury brand like having to offer a sub-line of vehicles to get a really nice interior. Not only that, but I think it'd fail anyway. Simply put, Cadillac needs to stop playing the price card and build a car that's on the same level as the cars they are gunning for. Making a car that's almost as nice, but a little cheaper isn't cutting it.

C&D has what I believe is the first test of a manual V6 Camaro up. It's a rather glowing review- http://www.caranddriver.com/reviews/2016-chevrolet-camaro-lt-rs-v-6-test-review. I decided this would be a great car to use for a new 'WWYBI' piece. Base price- $30,140 As-tested- $35,150 Range to spend- $27,125-38,665 As always, you have the price range allotted above to spend on a similar car that is new, and on sale now. Must use MSRP. Must spend at least $27,125. Cannot spend more than $38,665.

Okay Cap, here's your thread so you can bring Mustang Armageddon upon us. We'll keep this short and simple. The rules- 1)Production cars only. 2)Maximum of 5 choices. 3)These are your only vehicles. 4)Any era and market is allowed. 5)Choices must have a naturally aspirated engine with LESS than 5.0 of displacement. Have fun.

Yeah, I'm gonna have to pitch in and say I concur on the CT6 not being anywhere, anywhere near enough car to compete with the S65, no matter how much power you throw at it. I have an S65 on the showroom right now. I've driven it. It outclasses our Bentley CGT W12 Speed's interior. No joke. It's impossibly luxurious and well-crafted. It makes any Cadillac or BMW seem like a Scion in comparison. Sorry. I'd still rather have the Bentley, but the new S is one nice f#ck1ng car.

The first gen car is way better looking than the current, imo. It's still a looker.

The C63 Black is one of my all-time favorite cars. I just utterly adore the thing. Everything about it. A C63 of some sort is on my short list of attainable dream cars to have in the (relatively) near term.

Yeah, I love it. The visual drama, the proportions, the details. It really is stunning.

We're going to expand on the previous few 'YDG' threads here, and this time use use larger displacement forced induction engines. This is a fun one, I think, because it rules out some of the usual candidates. Rules- 1)Production vehicles only. 2)These are your only vehicles. 3)maximum of 5 choices. 4)Any market and era is allowed. 5)Must have engine capacity greater than 4.0 liters, AND have some sort of forced induction. Have fun.

Umm......Corvette? SS replacement should also offer a manual, as should the Colorado. Spark, as well.
